Min avsikt med denna uppsats var att söka en djupare förståelse av fenomenet minneswebbplatser för avlidna personer på Internet. Som ett tidigare helt outforskat fenomen som dessa minneswebbplatser är, så har jag haft förmånen att få välja helt fritt vad jag ska titta närmare på, och hur detta ska genomföras. Detta resulterade i att jag valde att ta reda på hur dessa sorgens regioner tar sig uttryck på minneswebbplatserna. Sorgens regioner som man kan tänka sig är både sociala och spatiala på dessa webbplatser.Jag har beskrivit en rad teoretiska begrepp i metodavsnittet som har kommit att fungera som en ram för analysen av minneswebbplatserna: (själv)representation, aktörer, intimitet, autenticitet, stil och personliga uttryck är dimensioner inom de sociala regionerna, och indexsidan, gemensamma utrymmen, privata utrymmen och länkar till omvärlden är dimensioner inom de spatiala regionerna. Dessa teoretiska begrepp har i analysen på ett systematiskt sätt analyserats och satts i relation till de teoretiska perspektiven för uppsatsen.Uppsatsens teorianknytning är Erving Goffmans resonemang kring främre och bakre regioner, samt regionbeteenden.

This thesis aims to investigate and discuss the possibility for women in the early Christian church to make music, which in the ancient Roman society was something complicated. Afemale musician was looked upon as decadent and dissolute. This idea, in combination with the music ideals of the church influenced by the Neoplatonic movement, and the Pauline statement (1 Cor. 14:34-36), cast women to be completely prohibited in participating even in the psalmody during the service. My purpose is to discuss how this was looked upon in different Christian regions, using the church fathers as the main material source, since this has not previously been well documented or studied..

This bachelor thesis is titled Who is an extremist?  - A qualitative content analysis of the agglutination of right- and left-wing groups and is written by Måns Hoffsten within the discipline of political science. This essay aims to illuminate in which way the Swedish government has tackled extreme forms of left-wing and right-wing activism during the period 1980 ? 2013. By looking at how governmental policy-suggestions and reports concerning extremism are formulated during this period this essay explores when and how the two groups first started to become a part of the same problem-representation and on what premises this is built.

Every year, approximately 17 500 drunk drivers are sued in Sweden. Of these, only 10 percent are women. The women are therefore considered a minority. In this study, I have taken interest in how the female drunk driver is constructed implemented by the probation service. By using critical discourse analysis I have found that the woman in these investigations is contributed the role of a deviant in two senses.

Denna studie presenterar ett preliminärt ramverk för analys av lärande i bråk inom ramen för transformationer mellan olika former av representationer. Ramverket används i en empirisk studie där åtta 10-åriga elever genomför uppgifter i bråk, som utvecklats för att utmana dem att reflektera över olika sätt att representera aspekter av begreppet bråk. Ramverket bygger på socialsemiotikens multimodala perspektiv. Analysen belyser hur ramverket hjälper till att strukturera förståelse för samspelet mellan representationer i inlärningen av bråk. Specifikt såg vi hur konkret fysiskt material och gester kompletterar symboliskt representation och talat språk i elevernas lösningar.  .

This essay examines the Alberte triology, by the Norwegian writer Cora Sandel, from a gender/feminist perspective. Taking Yvonne Hirdman's theory about the gender system as a starting point I will show how the living conditions and the different roles of men and women are represented in the novel and how they are changing during the centuries before and after the First World War.I am particularly interested in Alberte, the main character, what attitude she takes to her position in the gender system and in what way she differs from the traditional female model. Is she a New Woman, a different ?species?, who doesn't fit into the rigid gender system? Does the New Woman have a male counterpart, and is he to be found in the novel? Does the novel give a positive vision of a future where men and women can meet as equals?.

Aim: To describe the lived experience of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Method: Eight scientific articles of appropriate quality were found, analyzed, condensed and synthesized. Different experiences by women with PCOS were found and ordered into themes. The findings were then anchored in associated literature and discussed. Results: Four different themes were found: Feeling different; Disturbing symptoms; Searching for answers; Care treatment.

The Swedish beef cattle population is growing when the dairy cattle become fewer. The fertility of the beef cows is important for the profitability in beef cattle production. Today there is no genetic evaluation for female fertility in Swedish beef cows. The purpose of this study was to see if calving interval can be used in the genetic evaluation as a measure of female fertility in beef cows. For this purpose the variation in calving interval for beef cows of different breeds and ages registred in KAP was studied.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur framställningen av kvinnliga identiteter konstrueras i det första samt det sista avsnittet av TV-serien Sex and the City. Uppsatsen ska undersöka hur identiteten hos de fyra kvinnliga huvudkaraktärerna i Sex and the City skapas och definieras, hur olika identifikationsgemenskaper konstrueras samt hur framställningen av de fyra kvinnliga huvudkaraktärernas identiteter förändras mellan det första och det sista avsnittet.Undersökningen ska utföras enligt en metod för analys av TV-program ur boken How to Study Television av Keith Selby och Ron Cowdery, med fokus på begreppen narrativ och konstruktion, och med inslag av narratologiska begrepp ur boken Medier och kultur av Kirsten Drotner (m.fl.). Den teoretiska ramen för uppsatsen består av ett antal begrepp och teorier användbara för uppsatsens syfte. The purpose of this study is to establish whether or not there is a connection between a highincidence of computer gaming and English proficiency in Swedish 9th-graders. The study also takescomputer game genres into account, attempting to see if there is a link between frequent playing ofcertain genres and high English grades.According to this study, there is a clear correlation between the gaming habits of Swedish 9thgradersand the grades they receive in English, with a higher frequency of gaming corresponding toa higher grade. The study also suggests that the Strategy, MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) andCRPG (Computer Role-Playing Game) genres have a higher representation amongst students withgood grades in English..

Den här uppsatsen undersöker hur identitet uttrycks i tre musikvideos som tillhör genren ?queer rap? (Mykki Blanco, Le1f och Zebra Katz) där jag ställer frågan om den identitet som uttrycks hos dem är subversiva. För att ta reda på detta användes representations-begreppet tillsammans med Richard Dyers definition av stereotyper och José Esteban Muñoz avidentifikations-begrepp.Dessa tre artisters identiteter går att tolkas som subversiva då de använder normer och redan befintliga identiteter för att skapa nya uttryck, både från det heteronormativa och andra subversiva subkulturer. Our theatre tradition has a long history where men have written most of the plays. If we want that the theatre should be a place, which should be built as much around womens experience as mens experiences, how can we relate to the canon? This is a study based on questions around our theatre tradition. Three women dramatists have been asked questions like: What do you think about the classics? About the women roles? Do the classics inspire you, in your writing? Is there a difference in being a female dramatist than being a male dramatist? Femi-nist theatre- theories have been used to guide us through the canon.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka välmående hos svenska transsexuella patienter som har genomgått könskorrigerande operation. Undersökningen har inkluderat psykiatriska, psykosociala och sexuella aspekter av hälsa. Vidare har även att passera i nytt kön undersökts. Passera i detta sammanhang handlar om att känna sig accepterad av om omgivningen. Det datamaterial som uppsatsen är baserat på kommer ifrån en större utredning vid Karolinska Institutet som startade år 2005, utförd av psykiatriska utredare på Karolinska universitetssjukhuset.

Body image is a term that refers to a person?s feelings and attitudes toward his or her body. There are many different factors that influence a person?s body image: historical, cultural, social, biological and individual. The purpose of this study was to investigate young Indian women?s body image in India from a cultural perspective.

This thesis examines Swedish composers' modes of work and production within the Swedish film industry. It starts off with a historical overview treating live music in early silent film, the conversion to sound and the Swedish production climate until present time. The analysis consists of contemporary empirical studies; interviews with people writing music for film, TV and commercials. The musician's perspective is in focus but directors and other film workers are heard as well. The situation for female composers in a male-dominated industry is also discussed.
