I december 2011 publicerade Statens medieråd en översikt innefattande studier av sambandet mellan våldsamma datorspel och fysisk aggression, där slutsatsen var att ett sådant samband inte kan påvisas. Medierådets slutsats väckte debatt och det påtalades att vissa översikter från expertförbund visade på ett samband mellan våldsamma datorspel och fysisk aggression. I detta examensarbete undersöks genom en litteraturstudie orsakerna till att expertförbunden kom till olika slutsatser. Resultaten visar att skillnaderna mellan slutsatser kan bero på skillnader mellan syften och urvalskriterier samt skillnader i bedömningar..

Den här uppsatsen behandlar kopplingen mellan female empowerment och demokratisering. Med utgångspunkt i en maximalistisk definition av demokrati, hävdas att female empowerment är en nödvändig förutsättning för att en demokratiseringsprocess ska kunna lyckas.I uppsatsen analyseras den kenyanska miljöorganisationen Green Belt Movement:s arbete utifrån teorier om female empowerment. Kvinnor i Kenya är traditionellt underordnade männen och saknar inflytande och möjligheter att styra över sina egna liv. Inom Green Belt Movement har kvinnor fått en ledande roll och givits möjligheten att påverka sin situation. Analysen slår fast att organisationen har lyckats skapa female empowerment i flera aspekter bland de kvinnor som är aktiva i dess verksamhet.

In today?s society there is an ongoing debate concerning gender distribution amongst the top executives and there is a clear distinction between the men and women in leading positions. The reason for this can be because men and women to a certain degree conduct leadership differently. It is said that men are more focused on task oriented leadership while women seem to focus on a relation oriented and more interactive leadership. A leader?s success could be due to his or her ability to set up and use a network.

From an early age kids learn that their good performance and efforts will be rewarded. Unfortunately, not all leaders in the media industry are rewarded or given the same opportunities to exercise their communicative leadership, according to studies in media research. The aim of our study is to highlight female managers' experiences of their communicative leadership in the Swe-dish media industry. This study was based on qualitative interviews with four female respondents in management positions. The core of the study concerns female communicative leadership and interpersonal communication.

BakgrundUnder de kommande tio åren kommer antalet äldre i samhället att öka vilket ger ett tilltaget problem med demenssjukdomar. Omvårdnaden av demenssjuka personer är personcentrerad och beroende dels på vem personer är samt vilken typ av demenssjukdom som personen har. Närstående uppmanas skriva en levnadsberättelse, vilket kan underlätta omvårdnaden då den ger vårdpersonalen en inblick i vem den demenssjuke är. De demenssjuka har en begränsad förmåga att ta in och förstå intryck så boendemiljön bör anpassas efter deras behov. Olika färger och former kan hjälpa dem orientera sig i sin närmiljö.

The purpose of this paper is to make a feminist textual analysis of three female protagonists incontemporary novels in order to demonstrate representations of ?skeva? female bodies, deviantfrom beauty-, slender and age norms. The analysis is based on an intersectional perspective whichdemonstrates the interaction between body, sex, gender, class, sexuality and age. The theoreticalmaterial used are class theories by Bourdieu and Skeggs, performative theories by Butler, theoriesof grotesque realism by Bachtin and the female grotesque by Russo and Lundberg. The charactersall belong to the genre of the female grotesque which manifests a feminist protest and a free zonewithin patriarchal power structures.

The purpose of this work is to find out what female students think about Skogsmästarprogrammet (Forest Management ? Bachelor?s Programme) at the Swedish University of Agriculture. The programme has existed since 1945 and in total over the years 1974 - 2007 about 10 % females have been studying at the programme. Today 15 % of the students are women, and the goal is to reach at least 30 %. The central question in the present work is to investigate how it is possible to increase the proportion of women.

En uppdelning av aggression i instrumentell respektive reaktiv har bekräftats av tidigare forskning. Föreliggande studie bygger på 40 domar från Svea hovrätt där gärningsmännen blivit dömda för mord eller försök till mord. Huvudsyftet var att undersöka om reaktiva gärningsmän kunde skiljas från instrumentella gärningsmän med avseende på brottskaraktäristika, ålder, påföljd samt brottsrubricering. Syftet var också att undersöka samband mellan gärningsmannens påverkan av alkohol och/eller droger och gärningsmannens grad av planering, målinriktning, arousal, provokation från offret, samt gärningsmannens relation till offret. Två oberoende bedömare (föreliggande studies författare) genomförde kodningar utifrån Cornells kodningsguide för våldshandlingar.

Demenssjukdomar går inte att bota, men med stöd och olika insatser kan gynnsammare förutsättningar skapas för att kunna klara av vardagen, höja livskvaliteten för personen i fråga samt närstående. I vårt samhälle blir demenssjukdomar allt vanligare med den enkla anledningen till ökad livslängd. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka på vilka sätt agitation och aggression vid en demens sjukdom kan minskas. Med utgångspunkt i systematiskt tillvägagångssätt utifrån Goodmans (1993) sju steg utfördes en litteraturstudie. Tio utvalda vetenskapliga artiklar valdes utifrån sökningar i databaserna PubMed, Cinahl samt PsychInfo, där artiklar både utgick ifrån kvalitativa samt kvantitativa studier.

The society today is full of new changes within the companies and their middle chiefs. Middle chief?s visions have changed during recent years. The female chiefs have grown in numbers, and because of that people have started to focus on whether there are any similarities or differences between the female and male leadership behaviors. The essay is about similarities and differences between female and male middle chief?s idea about effective leadership behavior.Our analysis is based on a qualitative study, where we have made four interviews with four chiefs in industrial companies.

This is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. The main purpose with this study is to examine the view of prostitution and sex trade among Social worker students at Malmö Högskola. Our research questions are; To which extension and consideration is the view of male and female prostitutes divided? Is the view of the male and female sex buyer different among the students? How do the students explain and understand male and female prostitution? How do the students explain and understand the male and female sex buyer? To collect data and to be able to find out the students views and thoughts about the phenomenon we used focus groups with four to six students in each group. To categorize the material we used four topics; explanation/understanding models, the individuals behind the phenomenon, love/sex and intimacy, and the society?s responsibility.

With the ambitions to rehabilitate individuals with different kinds of work disabilities through work, the government owned Samhall AB has a long history as labour market measure in Sweden.To show Samhall AB its importance, the company has requirements to fulfill the goal that around 5 percent of their employees, at Samhall AB, every year shall be transferred to an employment outside the company, which is called transition. Unfortunately since this goal was introduced it also created several dilemmas. One dilemma is the long lasting female under representation in transitions from Samhall AB to the regular labour market.The essays main task is to investigate the factors behind the female under presentation in transition from Samhall AB through a genus perspective and by using quantitative and qualitative method.The main conclusions are that female under representation in transitions from Samhall AB are basically caused by structural factors. Samhall AB?s strong industrial tradition and particularly the strong segregation between female and males on the regular Swedish labour market may inhibit females in their transitions.
