Uppsatsen följer upp SOU utredningen, Klimat- och sårbarhetsutredningen från 2007 och den efterföljande propositionen En sammanhållen klimat- och energipolitik där man redogör för hur Sverige kommer att drabbas av klimatförändringar samt hur man ska arbeta för att möta dessa. Fokus i undersökningen ligger på Hallands län och arbetet där med att möta klimatförändringarna och förbereda samhället inför dessa, har man gjort något av det som utredningen och propositionen tar upp och slår fast? Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie som främst baseras på intervjuer men till viss del även på dokument från de berörda aktörerna. Klimatanpassningsarbetet har kommit olika långt i Hallands län, vissa kommuner ligger relativt långt fram med sitt arbete medan andra inte har gjort något alls. En av de främsta förklaringarna till detta, är enligt denna studie, i vilken utsträckning som man hittills drabbats av olika väderrelaterade händelser..

The aim of this study has been to create an understanding for the situation of an often forgotten group in foster care, the carers? own children. Our main focus has been the experience this group has of foster care, their experience of participation in caring for the foster children and their possible need of support and help. Our chosen method has been qualitative interviews with six adult children of foster carers, two men and four women. The theory used in this study has been Sense of Coherence.Our interviewees gave mainly a positive description of being part of a foster family even though they could give examples of difficult situation and of loss.

Bakgrund: Tidigare studier har visat på betydelsen av kommunikation, både verbal och icke-verbal, i mötet med den lidande patienten. En mellanmänsklig relation bygger på ett möte mellan människor som inte är fast i sina roller, som sjuksköterska och patient. Det är bara genom mötet sjuksköterskan kan få tillgång till patientens egentliga lidande, detta är nödvändigt för att kunna vårda, ge tröst och stöd. Syfte: Beskriva vilket stöd den lidande människan/patienten på sjukhus önskar av sjuksköterskan. Metod: Metoden som använts är en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats, innehållsanalysen har gjorts med hjälp av Graneheim och Lundman (2004).

The purpose of this paper is to describe how librarians andusers think of electronic books in libraries. My questions are:-What are electronic books, and how do they work?-How has electronic books been implemented by librariansin the libraries and on the libraries? websites?-How do users describe their view of electronic books?-How do the librarians and users think of electronic book inthe future?To be able to answer these questions I have studied relevantliterature, made qualitative interviews with two librarians attwo similar libraries and I had dialogues with several usersElectronic books were introduced 2002 at the two libraries.In the beginning the libraries made different types ofmarketing, but today they only have the website withinformation. Their purpose was to try this out and offer theusers a new media. So far, there are few users who borrowthese books, and maybe it depends on technical conditions.According to the dialogues I had, most of the users have noidea what electronic books are.

A numerical simulation case involving space plasma and the evolution of instabilities that generates very fast electrons, i.e. approximately at half of the speed of light, is used as a test bed for scientific visualisation techniques. A visualisation system was developed to provide interactive real-time animation and visualisation of the simulation results. The work focuses on two themes and the integration of them. At the sametime he is supposed to maintain telephone contact with central control throughoutthe whole session.The need for a new, more effective, system is vital to make the whole repair pfocessmore effective and let the repairmen work without having to contact the centralcontrol by phone.I started this work by examining the possibilities of assigning every object with aunique identifier (ID tag) that could be accessed by a manual scan device. The ideawas that the ID tag could holw information about the object and be obtained byscanning the ID and get the information presented on a mobile device.The work also included building a internet application that enabled the reader to seeand change the information on the ID tag.The result was a database that stored information of different objects which could beobtained by scanning the ID tag and presented by a internet application..

Friluftsplanen är ett frivilligt dokument som enbart beskriver friluftslivets intresse i kommunen. Detta för att dokumenten är frivillig och att det inte finns några bestämmelser om vad ett friluftsdokument ska innehålla. Detta arbete är en fallstudie som syftar till att undersöka om friluftsdokumenten innehåll. Friluftsplanen visade sig ofta vara del i annan plan eller program vilket innebar att arbetet breddades och kom att undersöka flera friluftsdokument med olika namn. Innehållet i friluftsdokumenten analyserades och jämfördes sinsemellan.

The focus of this thesis is the conception of work and the relation between work, economic growth and welfare in today?s Sweden in the editorial of Dagens Nyheter (DN), which is the main morning paper in Sweden.As the theoretical foundation of this thesis is social constructionism and the method being used is critical discourse analysis, the language is considered as an important source for the construction of value and meaning of work. In that context it is important to investigate how DN, by certain ways of representing reality, preserves a certain view of the human being, the society and the economy. Which ideological ideas underlie the conception of work that emerges in DN? What social consequences will these ideas have?The thesis discusses the ?truths? that the editorialists mediate concerning for example the view of the human being as guided by rational choice and the view of economic growth as the main goal for social life.One of the conclusions is that DN considers work as a means for economic growth as economic growth is regarded fundamental for the survival of the welfare state..

The Swedish Transport Administration manage nearly 4,000 railway bridges in different condition and age around the country. These bridges is in constant need of maintenance and requires continuous inspections. This thesis is designed as a damage investigation on a single-track railway bridge south of Solvarbo in Säter municipality. The railway bridge is in operation and serves over 10,000 trains a year, everything from speed trains to freight trains. The bridge is built as a beam bridge, simply supported over a road.

The state of our society is frequently changing. Due to various factors, the pressure of creating a changeable city is high and necessary to adequately supply the needs for its inhabitants. But making these changes and adapt to the fast shifting state of the city is not always physical possible. Young adults and students is a group that often seeks to move to intensely growing city regions. The reason for this is a more promising job market and more attractive educations, but coincidentally the shortage of housing is extremely high in these areas.
