The first aim of this thesis is to descriptively identify and chart the activities of the strategic intelligence and environmental scanning that take place at the regional collaboration network Regionförbundet Örebro. This identification is essential in reaching the comprehensive and primary aim of the thesis: to discuss, through normative discourse, what the options of improvement are and in which ways systematic operations can be integrating parts in the organization. In order to offer guidance of development from the perspectives of environmental scanning, the question at issue has emanated from activities concerning the present methods of working at Regionförbundet Örebro.During the creation of this thesis, several interviews have been made with people who are regarded to be key roles within the regional collaboration network. An analysis has been made, based on governing documents and answers from the interviews, where possible improvements of the business have been identified. The inferences become parts of a greater potential of amelioration since they are presented as active solutions and proposals that can be directly adaptable to the organization.Our proposals of improvements/ameliorations are constituted by a number of concrete/explicit points such as: a wider public information supply and an introduction of several annual routines and methods..

Organisationsstruktur och internkommunikation efter en omorganisation : En fallstudie om Karlstads universitet

This is a case study which investigated the perceived consequences of the organizational change that was implemented in January 2013 at Karlstad University. The study aimed to explore the experiences of the employees concerning the changes in organizational structure and internal communication. This was done through a set of eight individual standardized qualitative interviews with members from different departments. A lot of effort and thought was given to the ethical implications and to create a comfortable and open climate during the actual interviews to ensure that the respondents felt free to speak openly and honestly about their personal opinions and experiences.It is evident that the overall vision was ambitious; aiming to create a more effective organization through cutting off excessive administrative personnel and streamlining decision paths. However according to the opinions of the respondents it was clear that the result was far from the desired goal.

Hårda dörrar : Om dörrvakters selektering av gäster på krogen

The purpose of this study was to examine in depth and analyze how and on what basis selection of guests managed by doormen primarily in an exclusive bistro in Stockholm. Qualitative methods in the form of personal interviews with door staff and participant observations were made. Interviews with doormen who work at two other similar places have also been carried out in order to find the differences and similarities in the selection process. To connect the results in a scientific way, we have mainly used Pierre Bourdieu's theories of capital forms and the field, and Göran Ahrne and Apostolis Papakostas organization theories. Previous research related to the phenomenon of selection in one way or another, along with the overarching theories, are used to answer the questions and purpose of this study.

Bibliotekarier och forskare i samspel : Fallstudier på ett företag och ett universitet

Librarians like to think that libraries contribute substantially to the progress of research. However, libraries still seem to have serious problems getting integrated in their parent organization on equal terms with other parts of that organization. The degree of integration of the library is thus the main topic of this thesis and the purpose is to examine how the interaction between librarians and scientists is formed and can be developed. That issue leads to concrete questions concerning what part librarians play in the scientists work and which factors influence the cooperation or lack of cooperation. We have chosen, for reasons of comparison, to make two case studies; one is a branch of a university library and the other is a library in a large pharmaceutical company.

Kvinnor i KRIS : om erfarenheter av stöd från frivilligt och professionellt organiserat socialt arbete

The aim of this study was to examine how women in a voluntary organization, KRIS (C.R.I.S. Criminals' Return Into Society) express their experience of help and support from voluntary and professional organized social work. This was an empirically based study with, qualitative approach. The methods of data collection were unstructured interviews and participant observation.The central question was which importance KRIS possible may have in the process of the women's return into society from involvement in crime and drug abuse. What can KRIS offer that the professional organization can't?The findings were that mutuality, mutual aid or mutual help based on shared experiences is hard to replace with support from professional organized social work.

Poliser i trafiken eller automatiska övervakningsmetoder?

Syftet med detta arbete är att titta på polisens trafikövervakning, för att se om olyckorna (dödsolyckor och svårt skadade olyckor) minskar, samt hur effektivt de olika metoderna fungerar. De mätmetoder som vi tittat på, visar tydligt i den statistik som finns, hur effektiv den är och om de kort- respektive långsiktiga effekterna kvarstår. Det är olika typer av försök som har gjorts av Polisen och Vägverket som t ex pendeltrafikprojektet där vi ser hur kontinuerlig övervakning av poliser fungerar på olika av dessa sträckor efter pendlarprojektet med fysiska poliser var klara. Hur är acceptansen hos de olika trafikanterna? ATK som fotograferar eller fysiska poliser som är ute och sköter övervakningen? Finns det nya effektivare metoder för att förbättra trafiksäkerheten och minska genomsnittshastigheten? och leder dessa metoder i sin tur till att minska trafikolycksrisken? Medelhastigheten har sjunkit mer vid fast övervakning gentemot personell övervakning och effekten är att fasta kameror gör att den lägre medelhastigheten fortsätter att bestå.

Mobile-first eller Desktop-first, en studie av utvecklingslösningar för responsiv web design

The thesis analyzes two different approaches towards responsive web design, Mobile-first and Desktop-first. Responsive web design is a concept for websites whose design is customised based on the screen size. The analysis is performed by collecting views on the methods and also analyzing the usage of mobile and desktop internet to create a prototype of a responsive website where both methods are beeing used.The main difference between the methods is the foundation, where one is designed for mobile and the other for desktop. The thesis indicates that Mobilef-irst gives a better result for the mobile, which unlike the computer has poor performance, smaller screen and poor internet connection, therefore an advantage for the device that needs more focus to maintain a fast response. Desktop-first does not take this opportunity, but focus instead on the computer where the performance is better, which leads to a unnoticeable difference in response time.

The aim of this master thesis is to show how the dissemination of scientific information took place and developed during the 19th century. The main focus is Lund University. Therefore I have formulated two questions: How did the five heads of the history department at Lund University publish their research findings in the 19th century? What factors in society influenced the scientific spreading of results in the 19th century? To assess the scientific reliability of the sources I have used a method based on source criticism and hermeneutics. The thesis covers important concepts such as the exchange of publications between the universities, commercium litterarium and Akademischer Tauschverein and also the development of Lund University yearbook.

Titel:                    Belöningssystem - En studie om butikssäljares preferens av belöningssystem Problem:            Belöningssystem, vilket inkluderar lön, är ett styrmedel som uppmuntrar anställdas beteende och utförda arbetsinsatser. Vid utformande av belöningssystem ställs företag inför komplicerade frågor där de måste ta hänsyn till just deras anställda och verksamhetens unika situation. Det finns olika variabler som påverkar en anställds preferens för ett visst belöningssystem. Utan hänsyn till dessa variabler finns en risk att företag tillämpar ett belöningssystem som inte ger maximal nytta. Syfte:                   Ambitionen med denna studie är att beskriva butikssäljares inställning till fast- respektive provisionsbaserat belöningssystem samt om personliga variabler påverkar butikssäljares preferens av ett visst belöningssystem. Metod:                I studien har författarna tillämpat en kvantitativ ansats. För insamling av data utformades en enkät med bundna svarsalternativ vilken grundat det empiriska material som krävts för att genomföra studien.

Pantsättning av bostadsrätt : En analys av rättsläget enligt denuntiationsprincipen

Det saknas formkrav för erhållande av sakrättsligt skydd vid pantsättning av bostadsrätter varför det i praxis har utvecklats att föreningen ska underrättas, denuntieras, i analogi med 31§ SkbrL. Det saknas även formkrav på denuntiationens utformning, vem som är behörig att motta den eller krav på formell prövning av pantsättningens giltighet. Föreningen har endast ett lagstadgat krav enlig BRL att anteckna pantsättningen i föreningens lägenhetsförteckning. Varje förening har en egen lägenhetsförteckning vilket innebär att det saknas ett enhetligt och tillförlitligt register över samtliga bostadsrätter så som finns för fast egendom. Hanteringen av pantsättningar av bostadsrätter handläggs således många gånger av personer på ideell basis och med skiftande kompetens, dessutom hanteras varje denuntiation manuellt.
