BackgroundWhen women have breast pain this usually is not associated with myocardial infarction, which results in that they get less attention and wrong treatment. The nurse has an important role in informing and educating patients and families during hospitalization, which is usually short. Continuous training, written information and repetition for patient and family throughout the hospital stay are of considerable importance to clarify that the patient understands and to reduce the anxiety of being discharged.AimThe aim is to describe nurses' experiences of caring for older women with myocardial infarction.MethodsA qualitative method was used. The collection of data was done by six interviews with nurses in geriatric care and elderly care. Dataset has been processed based on a content analysis and divided into subcategories and main categories using meaningful units.ResultsNot having knowledge of older women with myocardial infarction was expressed as frustrating and nurses described how they were afraid to ask their colleagues.
Sjukvården för kvinnor och barn på ett sjukhus i Tanzania en observationsstudie
The aim of this study was to investigate how maternity and child care was carried out at Regional Hospital in Morogoro, Tanzania as well as how it was perceived by mothers and children. The study was conducted with a qualitative method through observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that the staff knew what they were doing and how they should treat their patients and that they helped them without thinking about preventive measures. The study concluded that people wanted to seek the care provided at the hospital and some people stated that they had confidence in the staff. The people that came to the hospital sought care for various diseases and conditions and they all got medical attention of some sort.

AbstractThis study focuses on three generations of Kurdish women's view on honor. The study is a qualitative research based on three individual interviews. The aim of this study is to examine how three generations of immigrant women from a culture of honor is influenced over time by the majority culture and its values together with how these women affect each other mutually both consciously and unconsciously within the family. The study is based on two questions: What does"honor" mean to the three generations of women who are Muslim and Kurdish? Did these three generations of women?s idea of honor change over time as they have lived in Sweden? Results of this study have shown that the concept of honor has its focus on the woman's body, sexuality and chastity.

How to work with parents of malnourished children: The experience of six Kenyan nurses
Background In Nyanza in western Kenya are 30,5% of children estimated as malnourished. It is a family situation that nurses often come in contact with. Therefore it is of interest to know how nurses work with parents of malnourished children when they have a significant role in developing the family's knowledge and child health. Aim. The aim is to investigate how nurses experience that they are working with parents of malnourished children.
Kvinnors upplevelser av vård i samband med missfall : En litteraturstudie
Bakgrund: Missfall är ett ofrivilligt avslutande av en graviditet som kan medföra känslor av chock, sorg och skuld. Vårdtiden vid missfall är ofta kortvarig och vårdpersonal har en betydande roll för kvinnornas upplevelse och återhämtning.Syfte: Syftet var att genom en litteraturstudie beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av missfall och den vård som ges i samband med missfall.Metod: Allmän litteraturstudie baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar med en kvalitativ design.Resultat: Resultatet bestod av tre huvudteman med tillhörande subteman. Det första huvudtemat var Kvinnors egna subjektiva tankar och känslor i samband med missfall med subteman Förlust av en graviditet, Skuldkänslor, Oro och förväntningar vid framtida graviditeter. Det andra huvudtemat var Kvinnors erfarenheter av bemötande från vårdpersonal vid missfall, med subteman Attityder och bemötande, Brist på information. Det sista huvudtemat var Kvinnors behov av stöd i samband med missfall med subteman Familj och närståendes betydelse, Vårdpersonalens betydelse.Slutsats: Missfall var en chockartad upplevelse, ofta präglad av existentiell smärta och sorg.

The disease can lead to major suffering and require the person to handle the situation. If the person´s ability and capacity to do so is insufficient the identity may be perceived as threatened and quality of life diminished. Self-care can help a person to cope with loss of identity, enhance independence and improve quality of life.Aim: The aim of this study is to explore self-care strategies of patients within palliative care setting.

The aim of our study is to examine stepparents´experiences of their role in the new family, we also want to examine if the role as stepparent is affected to the role as a biological parent. Our study is based on six semi-structured interviews, with three stepmothers and three stepfathers.By using role theory and symbolic interactionism our results indicate the requirement of constant negotiation as well as acknowledging the need to consider the other familymembers, those you may not have chosen to live with.We can see that the division of responsibility is governed by what is best for the family - to make life as easy as possible. It is clear that many stepparent lack guidance in what is expected of them in their new role; howeverr, they have been able to grow into it. .
