The purpose of this study is to first investigate how a group of Syriac women participating in the Syriac/Aramaic Academics Association (SAAF ? Syrianska/Arameiska Akademikerförbundet) at a Swedish university perceive their ethnic identity, and maintain it in the mainstream Swedish society. Furthermore, it considers whether SAAF as an ethnic institution provides an arena for the reproduction of social capital in interaction with the women's Families. Residential segregation is one of the reasons why individuals suffer from unequal opportunities to succeed in life. Factors, such as education, income and health are affected by the spatial separation of groups. Residential segregation occurs throughout the city yet the focus often falls on socioeconomically disadvantaged neighbourhoods. These neighbourhoods are portrayed in an unfavorable light and tend to be stigmatized. A well-established approach for policymakers to address these inequalities is through tenure mix policies, with the aim of creating more diverse neighborhoods.

The purpose of this thesis was to study how preschool teachers interpret the values of the preschool curriculum that relates to culture and how the teachers describe how they work with these values in their professional practice. The study is based on social constructive and discourse analytic perspectives. I have studied how preschool teachers construct the concept of culture and the values of the preschool curriculum through a specific way to describe this. A specific way to talk about something is called a discourse. In other words I have studied preschool teachers expressed discourses about culture and their professional practice with the values of the preschool curriculum.To study this, I've done interviews with four preschool teachers.

This study comprised patients with lymphoma receiving their diagnosis during 2003 ? 2005.

How does the computer influence teenagers' lives. I interviewed five young people, and gave a questionnaire to another 47, about this.What I found was that they were aware of and handled well the risks with the Internet and the computer, but had problems with the computer taking too much of their time. They wanted more time for their Families and outdoor activities. It was mainly the Internet that seemed to have an influence on the teenagers, not the computer as a machine.
