En deal om dagen - En kvantitativ studie om hur konsumenter uppfattar varuma rken som promotas genom dagliga deals

The relatively new phenomenon of daily deals has had an amazing explosion of growth during recent years. The concept relies on offering deeply discounted products and services that a number of customers must buy in order to acquire this discounted service. Companies spend valuable resources on marketing to get customers but the effects of daily deals on the brand do not have empirical evidence. What is the customers' attitude towards companies that communicate through daily deals How is their intention to buy from that company affected This is what is the main purpose of this study. To examine how customers perceive a company, in terms of attitude toward the brand and buying intentions, when the company markets through daily deals compared to more traditional promotion.

Skeuomorphism : En Studie om Realistiska Designinslag i Digitala Gränssnitt

Skeuomorphism är ett relativt nytt begrepp inom interaktionsdesign.Skeuomorphism är en designstil vars mål är att efterlikna realistiska objekt för attframkalla och skapa vissa effekter och upplevelser, som till exempel attunderförstått kommunicera en förståelse till användaren. Litteraturstudien visadepå att ingen har undersökt hur användare upplever inslagen och effekter somutlovas är spekulationer. Denna uppsats undersöker hur användare upplever inslagav skeuomorphism i digitala gränssnitt. Studien utfördes med hjälp av metodernathink-aloud och intervjuer för att besvara frågan, ?Hur upplever användare inslag avskeuomorphism i digitala grafiska gränssnitt??.

This Masters thesis aims at investigating how 15-year old girls use the Internet, particularly on their free time, taking a source critical perspective. It includes group interviews. The main question of this thesis was whether there is a need for specific user education. The following four questions were asked: What do they do on the Internet during their free time? In what way do the girls learn how to interact with each other on the Internet? How do they relate to different types of web pages and materials from a source critical aspect? What content do they consider to be relevant in a user education? The study is mainly focused on information use and information behaviour in different contexts.

Information overload occurs when the amount of information exceeds the individual s capacity to efficiently process and use the information available. In this situation information instead of being an asset becomes a load. This interview study deals with college students experiences of information overload when working on their thesis. Focus lies on use of Internet based information resources. The main result was that the students experienced information overload in specific situations and steps of the process.

In search for something "real" - consumers' perceptions of authenticity in regional food brands

Marketing research has acknowledged the concept of authenticity. It is argued that consumers in modern society increasingly search for something real, in contrast to what they perceive as mediated and distorted. Producers of regional food brands has acknowledged this trend, and started to market their products as being authentic. Given the potential practical and theoretical contributions in studying the concept of authenticity in this context, this study aims to explore how consumers perceive these claims of authenticity. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to extend knowledge on how consumers come to perceive a regional food brand as authentic.

Längden på revisionsuppdraget och revisionskvaliteten : Finns det något samband?

This study examines whether there is an association between the length of the client-auditor relationship and audit quality, using absolute unexpected accruals estimated by industry as a measure of audit quality based on a modified Jones model. The study is motivated by the proposal on mandatory audit firm rotation for publicly traded companies from the European Commission, which is based on the notion that longer auditor firm tenure creates a Familiarity threat which reduces the audit quality. Both the relation between audit quality and auditor partner tenure and audit firm tenure is examined in this study, using multivariate regression controlling for auditor type (Big 4 versus non-Big 4), signing auditors (one versus two auditors), firm size, profitability, leverage and age. There is a significant negative relationship between audit quality and audit partner tenure when only companies employing Big 4 is tested, which indicate that auditors constrain managements extreme accounting measures with longer tenure. The results provide no significant evidence of an increase in the absolute unexpected accruals with audit firm tenure, when only Big 4 companies are tested.

Swedish dairy farmers? interest in using price risk management tools : a study of correlating factors

The dairy market will change importantly in the coming years. The quota system, which has regulated the European dairy production, will disappear in 2015 and the European dairy market will then be importantly affected by the volatility characterizing the dynamic of world prices. Besides this, the global demand of dairy products is expected to increase due to the growing world population. Farmers in countries such as the U.S. and New Zealand, when compared to Swedish farmers, show greater Familiarity and experience with risk management tools.

This Bachelor?s thesis is about crime-fiction in Swedish public libraries and aims at investigating the attitude of librarians employed within the public library sector with regards to crime-fiction writing. Therefore, our aim is to examine how public sector librarians assess the quality of crime fiction writing compared to other forms of fiction. And research has shown that librarians haven't always looked upon crime-fiction favorably. The established view of crime-fiction was widely seen by the majority of public sector librarians as a lower form of literature and regarded it as a form of mass culture.

Belönande Projekt eller Projektbelöningar? : En studie om projektovana medarbetares motivation i projekt

Bakgrund: Vad skulle du säga om din chef en dag sa till dig att du skulle vara med i ett projekt? Skulle du tycka att det var roligt och se det som något positivt? Eller skulle du tvärtom inte alls vara intresserad av att var med? Projekt har under de senaste 20 åren varit en organisationsform som ökat i popularitet. Ett brett spektrum av företag använder projekt för att åstadkomma förändringar i sin organisation. Förändring kan dock stöta på hinder, eller misslyckas, om de som ska vara med och förändra inte är motiverade, det blir därför viktigt för företag att förstå vad som motiverar projektovana medarbetare som för första gången går från sitt vanliga arbete till ett projekt.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad som motiverar projektovana medarbetare, när det gäller att delta, och medverka, i projekt. Vi vill även skapa förståelse för vilka delar, dels i övergången från linje till projekt, men även under projektets gång, som är viktiga att hantera ur motivationssynpunkt.Genomförande: Studien har genomförts som en fallstudie baserad på kvalitativa intervjuer.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate the value and impact that reading groups organized by Swedish Public Libraries, have on its participants, role of the librarian and the Library as whole, according to librarian?s conceptions. In literature and earlier research reading groups are described to represent an important reader pro-motion tool for Public Libraries. At the same time the typical reading group member is often described as a per-son with a Familiarity of reading. Another purpose is therefore to investigate the contribution of reading groups in promoting reading, according to librarian?s conceptions.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how seams in an interactive system should be managed. Seamsin this study refer to the boundaries that arise when users move between for example differentsoftware, products or positioning systems. These seams are a cornerstone of the relatively unexploredarea called seamful design, which is based on that users can avail highlighted seams through activeparticipation in the use of a system. To analyze this area, seamful design is applied to the developmentof an interface of a smoothie vending machine. This smoothie machine thus provides the analyzedinteractive system, which the research questions are applied to as well as answered by.

Kenya is considered to be a developing country. This means that basic needs such as nutrition are not met for an extended period of time (www, Sida 1, 2012). Approximately half of the population is living under the poverty line (www, CIA 1, 2012). Agriculture is the largest sector in the country, employing 75% of the population. These are thereby directly dependent on the sufficiency of outputs received.

The Swedish carrot market is dominated by a few big companies and three of them stands for 50 % of the market. During the last twenty years the number of growers has decreased, the area and the harvest have increased. The big producers have invested in advanced and expensive postharvest equipment that fulfils the high standards of the food industry. Few carrot producers are members of an organisation and they keep contacts with there buyers one by one. The buyers are mostly wholesalers and these have during a long period of time decreased the number of suppliers.
