Av alla kvinnor som blir sjuka i cancer drabbas 29, 2 % av bröstcancer. Mortalite-ten har i Sverige emellertid sjunkit och dagens prognos har förbättras vilket resul-terat i en 87,8 procentlig fem-års överlevnad av totala incidensen. Syftet med den-na litteraturöversikt var att ge en överblick av kvinnors upplevelser samt copingst-rategier vid bröstcancer. Vald litteratur har inhämtats från PubMed och CINHAL och härstammar från sex olika länder. Litteraturöversiktens resultat grundar sig på sex huvudteman och fem subteman samt tre framträdande copingstrategier.

This thesis examines the concept of righteousness in the Gospel of Matthew. The research explores the literal meanings and theological functions of the noun ?righteousness? and the adjective ?righteous? through a descriptiveand comparative study of all the pericopes which include these words. The research also includes relevant information about the historical context of the text as well as the central theological themes which relate to the subject.In the research on the literal meanings, it seems that both words primarily occur in ethical teaching and that the concept of righteousness in Matthew is closely related to humanconduct (e.g. Matt 5:20; 6:1).

This essay deals with the social services cooperation with the private sector relating to foster care. The aim was to examine whether and what the causes may be that the social service transfer tasks of authority to private actors. Furthermore, we have examined and discussed if such a working procedure can lead to consequences for the individual child and how / if the children's legal security is affected. Survey methodology is qualitative in nature where we conducted semi-structured interviews with three persons who work in different ways to be involved in work with a foster family. We have also made use of questionnaires sent to social workers around the country.The result has been interpreted on the basis inter alia, legal texts, legislative history, and two theories which have their origin in organization theory.

This Master's thesis examines segregation between Swedes and immigrants in school, and more specifically segregation between the two elementary schools Vikingaskolan and Tunaskolan in Lund. This case provides a particularly interesting puzzle, since Lund doesn?t have any pronounced immigrant districts, and was also recognized nationally as best municipality for its schools (2004). In this thesis we try to understand the segregation between the two schools in Lund as an implementation dilemma.The theoretical framework applies a model designed by Lennart Lundquist, which includes three potential causes for implementation problems: the implementer doesn?t understand the decision, the implementer can?t apply the decision, the implementer doesn?t want to carry out the decision.

Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer diseases among women worldwide. Breast cancer brings fear into many womens? life. It is a threat against life, but also to the psychological health, self-esteem and the female identity. Aim: The aim of this literature review was to describe newly breast cancer patient?s perception of information provided by healthcare personnel.

Falls and fallinjuries are very common in peoples own homes in various institutions. Hospital inpatients often fall during daytime in connection with their visit to the toilet. Visual impairment such as cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy can cause falls. The purpose of this study was to examine patient´s records where falls and fallinjuries were documented at an emergency clinic and to examine if they were registered to visual impairment. The records from 68 hospital inpatients from the age of 65 years and older who did fall during the year of 2004, were examined.

Lungcancer är en av de dödligaste formerna av cancer idag. Speciellt en typ av lungcancer har ökat på senare år vilket är adenocarcinom med subtypen bronchioloalveolärt carcinom (BAC). Det har föreslagits att lungcancer på katt skulle kunna vara en bra modell för forskning på BAC. ?Lung-digit syndrome? är en ofta beskriven form av lungcancer hos katt. Syndromet finns även rapporterat hos människa.

Depression är en sjukdom som 15-20% av befolkningen någon gång kommer att drabbas av.Vid behandling av depression används, förutom psykoterapi och elektrokonvulsiv behandling (ECT), antidepressiva läkemedel. De flesta läkemedlen påverkar serotoninåterupptag, men dåserotonin har effekt på andra ställen i kroppen än hjärnan kan det uppstå biverkningar. Vidmånga eller långvariga depressioner kan det bli aktuellt med långtidsbehandling. Riskerna medlångtidsbehandling är inte helt kända, och därför har i denna studie effekterna avlångtidsbehandling med antidepressiva läkemedel undersökts. Detta gjordes med hjälp av enlitteraturstudie utifrån frågeställningarna ?vilka effekter har långtidsbehandling medantidepressiva läkemedel på hjärt-kärlsystemet och frakturrisk?? och ?har långtidsbehandlingmed antidepressiva läkemedel några effekter på depressionssjukdomens prognos?? Studienvisar att antidepressiva läkemedel kan öka risken för frakturer samt påverka hjärt-kärlsystemet,samt att mekanismerna bakom detta fortfarande är oklara..

Turkey has taken part in regular negotiations to gain membership in the EU since 2005. At the same time is Turkey a candidate that stands out from those of earlier rounds of enlargement, and its possible membership got both supporters and critics amongst the Unions member countries. The aim of this thesis is to, trough a textual analysis, investigate the prospects and obstacles Turkeys candidature faces. The material consists of documents from a number of think tanks connected to the European Commission, as well as the Commissions own documents regarding Turkeys negotiations.A recurring picture is that Turkey is treated differently then earlier candidates, and that the Commission has a hard time keeping an unambiguous line in its negotiation frame. The material of the think tanks attributes the public opinions distrust of the member countries of EU as a hindrance, and Turkeys meddling in the conflict on Cyprus is problemized.

Bakgrund: Enligt statistiska central byråns prognos (2003) kommer invandrare eller barn till invandrare att stå för cirka åtta procent av Sveriges befolkningsökning inom de närmsta tjugo åren. För att kunna bistå med god vård på lika villkor för hela befolkningen måste den svenska sjukvården anpassas efter det mångkulturella samhälle vi lever i. Syfte: Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att belysa svårigheter som kan påverka mötet mellan svensk vårdpersonal och personer med invandrarbakgrund. Metod: Litteraturstudien bygger på sju vetenskapliga artiklar, alla med kvalitativ forskningsansats. Studien analyserades utifrån Malterud (1996).

The purpose of this study was to explore how interpersonal relationship can be affected by groing up in a New Religoius Movement such as Jehovah?s Withnesses and how it has affected them both in their youth and today. The aim was also to explore if there were people in the respondents' environment that was significant to them during their childhood and which support our respondents have received if they were in need of it.We have not found any previous research on children's social relationships within the Jehovah's Witnesses. We therefore believe that this study is of high relevance to both society and also for all the professionals who come into contact with these children. To discover a child in need, knowledge about how their social environment looks like is crucial.

Det är ingen enkel process att ge sig in i en okänd framtid. Inom den fysiska planeringen är det betydelsefullt att göra långsiktiga studier och bedömningar som rör mark-, vatten- och naturresurser för att skapa en rimlig avvägning mellan olika anspråk på nyttjande och bevarande. Fysisk planering är till stor del en kommunal fråga, men samtidigt är det allt fler planeringsfrågor som behöver ses i ett regionalt, nationellt eller transnationell perspektiv. Det verkar vara hög tid för nationell framtid. De institutionella förutsättningarna som behövs för fysisk planering på en nationell nivå saknas i Sverige och något sammanhållet nationellt dokument har inte heller utarbetats.

Osteoartrit (OA) är ett mycket vanligt problem hos hästar och har i många fall sitt ursprung från felaktig belastning av leden, blir ofta kroniska och omfattar inflammation i ledens samtliga ingående delar. Resultatet är bland annat nedbrytning av ledbrosk och matrixkomponeneter. Idag baseras diagnostik och framtida prognos mestadels på den kliniska bilden och/eller bilddiagnostiska hjälpmedel. I denna studie har två inflammationsmediatorer; interleukin 1? (IL-1?), high mobility group box protein 1 (HMGB-1), och ett enzym; matrixmetallopeptidas 13 (MMP-13) mätts i ledvätska och serum med hjälp av kommersiell enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)-teknik. Hypotesen är att dessa är förhöjda i ledvätska från leder med konstaterad hälta. Tjugonio ledvätskeprov och 11 serumprov från 11 hästar som sökt till Universitetsdjursjukhuset i Uppsala för hälta analyserades i denna studie.

In this thesis, I enquire into how the USA ? our world?s wealthiest and most powerful nation ?  and its federal government has dealt with two of its most severe natural disasters: the drought and dust storms that plagued the Great Plains during the 1930?s, i.e. the Dust Bowl, and Hurricane Katrina, which made landfall in late August 2005. I attempt to identify differences and similarities and analyze if and, in that case, how the hegemonic politico-economic paradigm affected the federal management of these crises. This comparison is made relevant by the fact that two differing paradigms were at play during these events. In the thirties, President Franklin D. Roosevelt launched his ?New Deal?, a series of counter cyclical measures in line with the Keynesian school of economics, as a response to the overwhelming economic depression as well as the raging drought.

Since the turn of the millennium a sharp increase in the interest for bio energy has been observed. Important reasons for this growing interest can be due to the fact that fossil fuels are a finite resource. A net discharge of greenhouse gases occur when fossil fuels are burned. The discharge of greenhouse gases are considered to be the main reason to the greenhouse effect. Means of control to increase the use of bio energy has been introduced and, as intended, the use of bio energy has increased. As a result of the legal provisions the ability to pay for bio energy has increased, which the forest industry view as a problem.
