The aim of this study is to examine physical education teachers? and students? views on the thesis and its part in the physical teacher education program at The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences.Does the view on the thesis differ between techers/students and the program with its curriculum and other policy documents?What does students/teachers value in a thesis?Does teachers/students have a mutual habitus concerning the thesis in the form of essay writing and how is this expressed?The study is based on a qualitative survey in which the respondents mainly answered open-ended questions with written answers. These answers have been categorized and analyzed with the aims of the study and the previous research in mind. The views on the purpose of the thesis differ, both within the group teachers/students and to a certain degree in relation to policy documents. The value of the thesis differs within the group.

Kommissionen presenterade år 2008 ett förslag om en ny europeisk associationsform ett s.k. SPE-bolag (Societas Privata Europaea), ett privat europabolag särskilt anpassat för små och medelstora företag. Syftet med förordningen är bl.a. att göra det enklare och mer flexibelt för små och medelstora företag att utöva sin verksamhet och etablera sig på den inre marknaden och därav stärka deras konkurrenskraft. I takt med utvecklingen av bolagsrätten på den överstatliga nivån är bolagsrätten i Sverige också föremål för utveckling och förändring.

Bakgrund: 1990-talskrisen och dagens finanskris har liknande uppkomst som härleds till alltför generös utlåning. Som följd uppkom stora kreditförluster i majoriteten av bankerna. För att öka riskmedvetenheten hos bankerna samt för att stabilisera den finansiella ekonomin finns myndigheter och kommittéer som övervakar och sätter regler för hur bankverksamheten skall fungera.     Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om, och i så fall hur, kreditgivningsprocessen mot privatpersoner har förändrats genom åren. Vi ville studera om Baselrekommendationerna och andra regelverk har fått en direkt påverkan på bankernas sätt att hantera dessa krediter. Genomförande: För att uppnå studiens syfte har vi genomfört semistrukturerade intervjuer med anställda på de fyra svenska storbankerna samt med en senior analytiker på Finansinspektionen. Den insamlade empirin analyserades sedan utifrån gällande teori inom området.Resultat: Majoriteten av bankerna har ändrat sin kreditprocess sedan 1990-talet och gått från pantbelåning med säkerheten i fokus, till att använda kassaflödesbelåning.

The aim for the project was to develop a risk analyse tool for measuring the fire safety level in Cultural Heritage buildings of Visby, Gotland. In 1995 Visby were taken into the Unesco:s World Heritage List with the explanation ?Visby is an outstanding example of a Northern European walled Hanseatic town which has in a unique way preserved its townscape and its extremely valuable buildings? One of the demands for the tool was that it should be easy to use and result into a ranking level in examined buildings. The user of the tool is recommended to be personnel in the fire department. To develop the tool a Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) method was used.

Inom EU förekommer varierande anslutningsvillkor till de nationella socialförsäkringssystemen. Rätten till vissa förmåner är kopplade till arbete och inbetalningar av sociala avgifter, medan bosättning även kan fungera som tillhörighetsgrund. I Sverige är socialförsäkringen uppdelad i två grenar, nämligen förmåner som grundar sig på bosättning samt förmåner som är arbetsbaserade och grundar sig på arbete i Sverige. Bosättning utgör således ett reellt försäkringsvillkor för att omfattas av den bosättningsbaserade försäkringen. En neutral utgångspunkt för bosättningsbedömningen i svensk rätt är huruvida personen är att betrakta som bosatt enligt folkbokföringslagen (1991:481) och därmed är folkbokförd i Sverige.

The aim of this Master?s Thesis is to examine the importance of literacy and reading in a country like Jamaica. What role do public libraries and bookmobiles play in promoting literacy, and how does this work correspond with the UNESCO public library manifesto?To answer this, interviews were conducted with nine Jamaican librarians, and study visits were made to libraries and bookmobiles. In addition, development plans, policy and other relevant documents were analyzed.

The purpose of this study is to determine if and how municipal consultative entities through influence may affect the legitimacy of the Swedish democratic model. The study aims to do this through analysing the opportunities for influence present with the Youth Council and the Council of the Retired in Karlstads municipality, to determine how the councils may affect political participation and the role of elected representatives. To do so, the study asks the following primary research question:"What requisites for influence are present for participants of municipal consultative entities, as found for the representatives of the youth and the retired within the framework of their participation in the Youth Council and the Council of the Retired in Karlstads municipality?"The study answers this research question by dividing it into one question of policy and one question of democratic perspective, and investigating these matters through nine snowballing interviews with the decision makers, organisational actors and participants of the councils. The information from the interviews is then analysed per council through a framework of democracy theory, policy process theory and organisation theory.

Problembakgrund/Problemdiskussion: Mitt under brinnande finanskris 2008 tvingades den välkända storbanken Lehman Brothers ansöka om konkurs. Bankens konkurs i kombination andra finansiella instituts var startskottet på en intensiv debatt beträffande flertalet företeelser på den finansiella marknaden. En av dessa företeelser var blankning. Kritiker menar att blankning bidrog till att destabilisera en redan skakad marknad och generera omotiverat stora prisras på aktiemarknaden. Förespråkarna menar och andra sidan att det inte är blankning som formar marknaden utan att det endast är en strategi baserad på brister i marknaden.Oavsett vilken sida som står närmast sanningen ledde debatten till att EU instiftade ett nytt regelverk, som till viss del begränsar blankning och ökar dess transparens.

Samarbetet inom EU ställer långtgående krav på medlemsstaterna att underlätta för unionens medborgare att utnyttja de friheter EG-rätten genom EG-fördraget ställt upp. En av dessa friheter är fri rörlighet för arbetstagare och egenföretagare inom EU. Denna fria rörlighet skapar förutom möjligheter även svårigheter. Nationella regelsystem på skatte- och socialförsäkringsområdet måste anpassas till de övriga medlemsländernas system för att den enskilde inte skall hindras genom diskriminering då denne utnyttjar den fria rörligheten. För att förebygga och förhindra problem som kan uppstå angående socialförsäkringstillhörighet för den som flyttar, har EU-samfundet skapat ett regelverk för att samordna medlemsstaternas socialförsäkringssystem.

This theory consuming thesis is concerned with why Iran's uranium enrichment has become a security issue, and will focus on the five most important and involved actors: China, Russia, Iran, the US and the UN. I will do this by using instruments of analysis such as securitization and strategic analysis. With these instruments I will examine different factors, such as deterrence, the action-reaction model and armament. Since, according to my opinion, security matters include more sectors than military I will also examine the political, societal and economic sectors. China and Russia have acted differently compared to the US in this matter and this thesis will highlight the factors that can explain the different actions made by these countries.

Rikliga naturtillgångar och bördig jord gör Brasilien till ett land med mycket bra förutsättningar för jordbruk. Dess totala odlade area överskrids endast av Australien, Kina och USA. Under senare tid har landet genomgått flera betydande handelsliberaliseringar och övergått från importsubstitution till en mer exportorienterad policy. Från och med 1990-talet har Brasilien ökat sin export inom jordbrukssektorn och på senare tid har exporttillväxten varit så pass hög att den kan liknas vid en exportboom. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka Brasiliens senaste exportutveckling och dess komparativa fördelar i deras främsta exportprodukter inom jordbrukssektorn.

Då elbranschen är positiv till en utveckling som leder till att allt fler elkunder också blir sin egenelproducent finns det anledning att undersöka vilka nyckelfaktorer som finns påmikroproduktionsmarknaden i Sverige. I studien genomfördes en kartläggning av elmarknadensaktörer och regelverk samt en socioteknisk och en beräkningsteknisk analys. Den sociotekniskainnefattade de omvärldsfaktorer som påverkar elmarknaden för mikroproduktion idag samt vidinförandet av nettodebitering. Omvärldsfaktorerna som har undersökts är de politiska, ekonomiska,sociokulturella, tekniska, legala och ekologiska aspekterna. I den beräkningstekniska delengenomfördes två lönsamhetskalkyler, en för en aktuell fastighet i Norra Djurgårdsstaden däråterbetalningstiden och en potentiell vinst studerades utifrån ett flertal olika förändringsfaktorer.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how a context-specific form of abstracting of fiction film developed in relation to the cultural policy of Internationella biblioteket IB, theoretically can be motivated and practically shaped. The background of the cultural policy of IB is analysed and theoretical standpoints and problematic aspects regarding subject representation discussed. Theories which claim intersubjectivity as an ideal for subject representation and searches for objectivity in the process of subject analysis are criticised in light of the concept of interpretation as the only means to produce meaning and subjects in relation to fiction. Birger Hjørlands context-oriented theories of subject representation are used to theoretically motivate the context-specific form of abstracting. To suggest how a practical framework for abstracting can be created, film theoretical models of interpretation are examined in relation to the field of subject analysis and formal criteria of abstracting.

This thesis examines the European Union's sanctions policy regarding human rights and interdependence. Previous research has discussed whether sanctions are effective or result in desirable outcomes. This paper aims to take a step back and understand motives by analyzing consistency in the EU?s decisions to impose sanctions. The question is relevant because formal justification can be used to cloak actual motives, and by examining actual decisions, the analyses shed light on motives.

My master?s thesis is a study of acquisition of photographies during 1958-2008. The questions I proceed from is what patterns lies behind the Royal library's acquisition of photography and how the process of acquisition looks like. The theoretical base which I lean on consists partly of a problematization of the process of cultural heritage and partly of organizational theory. The problematization of the process of cultural heritage is my foundation of this essay.
