An open fitting is suitable for persons with sloping hearing loss and relatively good low fre-quency hearing. Sensory neural hearing losses often have this type of configuration. A large ventilation canal gives a greater feeling of comfort and less occlusion. The purpose of this study was to look at the hearing aid benefit of open fitted hearing aids. Self report question-naires were sent out to 102 patients who were given ReSound AIR during the year of 2006 in Uddevalla.

Målet med vår uppsats är att undersöka och analysera hur en individ presenterar sig på den virtuella arenan Facebook. Utifrån intervjuer och deltagande observation ska vi beskriva hur identitetsskapande uttrycks i förhållande till en social omgivning. Vidare ska vi visa hur värderingar och normer i samhället påverkar aktiviteter på Facebook. För att förklara detta utgår vi från valda delar av interaktionismen samt teorier om det postmoderna samhället. De begrepp vi använder oss av för att uppnå vårt syfte är roller och identiteter i anknytning till den virtuella världen samt att dessa formas och omformas i relation till ett socialt sammanhang.

In this essay, I intent to examine history as a school subject in Swedish compulsory school (for children aged 7-16), it contains mostly an analysis of the syllabus for history in the three latest curriculums Lgr 69, Lgr 80 and Lpo 94. The main purpose of the essay is to illuminate the development and the change history as a subject has gone through during this specific time, and my will is also to illustrate the view on knowledge and learning that is revealed in the syllabus for history in today?s curriculum (Lpo 94).The survey shows that in Swedish compulsory school, history as a subject has changed significantly. During the examined years, the contents have been exceptionally broadened and that has lead to increasing demands on the students as it has gone from being directed to the individual and its contiguous history with shorter outlooks on the rest of the world, to requiring the individual to be able to see and understand other parts of the world and different time, on the basis of it?s own history and culture.

This thesis aims at investigating the two municipality?s Gislaved and Ljungby. Where the aim is to see if there is any connections, between the type and the degree of public-private partnerships, and the municipalities obtained environment performance. In this essay the starting point is that the environmental performance in the chosen municipalities is good.Interviews among local politicians and representatives for the municipalities plastic industries, has functioned as a way to test the hypothesis. Gislaved and Ljungby have thereafter been compared, in order to see if there is any similarity in the sort and the degree of public-private partnerships, and how that will affect the environmental performance. The overall questions in this essay are:How can the cooperation among the chosen municipalities and the      local business life be described? What kind of Public-private partnership      exists in the selected municipalities?Is there any difference between the municipalities, referring to      the degree of cooperation between the municipalities and the local      business life? Does the degree of cooperation affect the progress on the environmental      performance? The end result shows that the local business life doesn?t have any impact on the environmental performance.

Syftet med min undersökning är att se om en ledarledd fritidsaktivitet innebär en kunskapsöver-föring, ett intuitivt lärande hos ungdomar från vuxna, av det slag som förekom under ?den andra dagen? på den tiden ungdomar gick i skolan varannan dag eller varannan vecka.Jag har genomfört fem intervjuer med slumpvis utvalda elever med höga skolbetyg och fem med slumpvis utvalda elever med låga skolbetyg på gymnasieskolan.Min utgångspunkt är att de ungdomar som deltar i ledarledda aktiviteter på sin fritid får upplevelser, färdigheter och erfarenheter som gagnar deras skolarbete.Resultatet bekräftar min utgångspunkt. Framför allt får de uppleva glädje och gemenskap som de också upplever i skolan medan de som inte har någon särskild organiserad aktivitet upplever skolan som ?seg? och något som de måste ?gå av?..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på hur yrkesverksamma lärare i år 1-3 ser på användningen av skönlitteratur i undervisningen och att förhålla dessa beskrivningar till den litteratursyn jag som blivande lärare håller på att utveckla. Litteraturgenomgången anknyter till läsarorienterande teoribildningar, i linje med den konstruktivistiska, sociokulturella syn på lärande som min utbildning präglas av. Resultatet av en intervjuundersökning med sju lärare presenteras och analyseras utifrån uppsatsens frågeställningar ? hur lärarna relaterat till sin användning av skönlitteratur beskriver undervisningens varför, vad och hur. Med hjälp av erfarna lärare ges jag därmed en möjlighet att reflektera kring min egen litteratursyn, inte minst frågan om varför skönlitteraturen kommer att ha en plats i min framtida undervisning.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine which role public libraries play or could play within bibliotherapy. The study is based on qualitative interviews with five librarians who, in one way or another have experienced bibliotherapy activities. Further, we have interviewed two treatment assistants and one counsellor, who have cooperated with the librarians, to get their view. We have used the following research questions: Which bibliotherapeutic activities, if any, are pursued in public libraries in Sweden, and how do they look upon bibliotherapy? What role do public libraries play/could play within bibliotherapy? Ever since the term bibliotherapy was coined in the beginning of the twentieth century, the definition has been under debate. We have identified four main subjects of discussion.

There is a strong debate in the media about the CEO compensation in the listed companies and whether they deserve their high rewards. Many previous studies have shown differences in the reward system depending on the ownership structure, mostly testing for only ownership concentration or ownership category. This study aims to investigate how the influence of the owners affects the CEO reward system, testing for both the level and the structure of the reward. The sample used in the investigation is Swedish listed corporations and consists of 251 observations. A survey was also conducted but due to low response rate and because the answers are not representative for the whole sample the survey will only be used as an illustration.

In the past decades the level of education of the Swedish population has steadily risen. This paper asks questions about the level of education level among members of the Swedish parliament, Riksdagen. The answers are found by studying biographic data over members of parliament between 1971 and 2006. In 1971 a new riksdag, enkammarriksdagen which consists of one ?House?, was founded.

Varje år upptäcks 50 000 nya fall av cancer i Sverige, vilket innebär att drygt 100 personer insjuknar varje dag. Att få diagnosen cancer innebär ofta en chock för den drabbade. Det sociala stödet är av stor betydelse för hur krisen kommer att hanteras av patienten. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att kartlägga cancerpatienters upplevelser av att delta i olika former av stödgrupper och självhjälpsgrupper som kan ledas eller initieras av sjuksköterskan. Metoden är en litteraturstudie utförd på tio kvalitativa artiklar.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka användningen av personlighetstest respektive begåvningstest hos svenska arbetsgivare, för att få en förståelse till vilket syfte och värde det anses tillföra hos svenska arbetsgivare. Samt inbringa förståelse till att personlighetstest i Sverige används i större frekvens jämfört med begåvningstest. Genom en enkätstudie och en semistrukturerad intervju framkom att det finns skäl att tro att skillnaderna beror på okunskap hos testanvändarna samt att organisationers urvalsmetoder kan vara svåra att förändra. Det framkom även att det är möjligt att personlighet värderas högre än vad begåvning gör hos svenska arbetsgivare. Det medför att det återfinns skäl att tro att kulturella faktorer har en större påverkan än vad tidigare forskning visat..

Since a decade back in time, Sweden is officially recognised as a multicultural society. Different cultures exist side by side and the city of Malmo is one of the clearest examples of this setting. In multicultural societies, the dichotomy of ?us? versus ?them? is common, which leads to segregation and asymmetrical relations of power. The concept of intercultural education is in theory known to be able to create a position of ?us? where every culture is equally recognized and reinterpreted and thus become an alternative to the dichotomy.

Bakgrund: En av de vanligaste cancerformerna hos kvinnor är bröstcancer. I Sverige diagnostiseras 15-20 kvinnor varje dag. För att kunna ge en god omvårdnad behövs det kunskap om kvinnornas olika upplevelser. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa kvinnors upplevelser efter ställd bröstcancerdiagnos. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ ansats.
