Uppsatsen fokuserar på fem utländska kvinnors tankar och erfarenheter kring feminism och jämlikhet. Genom att intervjua dessa kvinnor individuellt och praktisera på en kvinnoorganisation, försöker jag analysera kvinnornas förhållningssätt till den underordning som tilldelas dem av västerländsk feminism.Resultatet visar att kvinnorna alltid är tvungna att förhålla sig till dessa tillskrivna beskrivningar samt att detta även påverkar deras självbild. De ifrågasätter västerländska feministers etnocentrism. De känner ofta att deras tidigare erfarenheter försummas och att man endast ser de som ?passiva offer?..

Abstract My purpose of doing this study is to investigate the culture of delivering education in a strange combination of subjects labelled ?Language choice Swedish/English?. The activity however exists without curriculum, syllabus or certification. I want to put study the problem of delivering an educational activity without national certification. I will use a hermeneutic approach and render properly the headmaster?s, the teachers? and the students? views on the activity in one school.

Through semi-structured interviews with 8 school photographers and 10 parents,this study attempted to clarify what photographers and parents of children(aged 1?5) in preschool think of photography business in the current situationprovides retouching children?s school photographs and what they considers tobe acceptable. The result shows that companies do not offer photo retouchingfrequent, but performs this service at the direct request of the customer. Themajority of parents agreed that dirt and food was accepted to be removed fromthe photograph, and that this does not affect the child's self image. The photographersbelieve that one should be very careful when it comes to children andretouching, and that the debate is important..

This study aims to investigate how and why teachers use social media to reach their students, and how they handle different levels of computer literacy among students.The purpose of this study is to investigate the experience of teachers using social media in their teaching. I have done interviews with two teachers, who use social media in different ways. One of the teachers makes her students publish their work on the Internet on wiki-spaces, and the other one use Facebook for discussions and teamwork. This report uses the pedagogy theories laid forth by Vygotskij as a vantage point to analyze the answers from the teachers. I have also looked at some of the published student texts on the Internet.This study concludes there are students who don?t have access to computers and Internet at home.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka på vilket sätt beskrivningar från relevant litteratur om holistisk syn på lärande, funktionaliserad undervisning, tematiskt arbetssätt och vikten av meningsfulla sammanhang stämmer överens med det praktiska arbetet i klassrummen med den tidiga läs- och skrivutvecklingen, både som lärare upplever att de gör och det faktiska arbete som jag observerar. Mitt arbete består av observationer och kvalitativa intervjuer. Resultaten av min undersökning visar att lärarna använder en kombination av olika metoder som de har utvecklat tack vare sin personliga övertygelse om barns läs- och skrivutveckling, arbetslivserfarenhet, utbildning, befintliga läromedel och skolans traditioner. Arbetes syfte är att resultera i ett planförslag för Pottholmen och svara på tre frågeställningar som behandlar översvämningsrisk, tillgången till offentliga och mer privata delar och möjligheten till ökad vattenkontakt. För att få en förståelse för Pottholmen har jag använt mig av metoden realistisk stadsanalys. Jag har även använt mig av Kevin Lynch begrepp för att kartera området. Immersion is a construct that measures how deeply engrossed a user is with any mediated situation. In the field of game design, immersion is a significant aspect of what makes a game enticing, and as such it is of pivotal importance to create and maintain it to keep the player's mind off the real world while inside the confines of a game framework. According to the GameFlow theory, it is one of seven key tenets of evaluating and implementing a successful game design. Yet, certain multiplayer online games are designed in a fashion that in some cases seem to break immersion, where the player is frequently put out of action, sometimes for minutes on end. In this study, using online questionnaires, we discover that players, despite claims otherwise, seem to be in several ways affected negatively by this breaking of immersion.

Denna fallstudie tar upp enskilda kvinnors upplevelser i samband med mediala diskurser och identitet utifrån deras position som tidigare utsatta för direkt patriarkalt våld. Vissa diskursiva begrepp diskuteras, exempelvis ?offer?. Centralt för respondenterna är att inte identifiera sig med dessa termer. Våldserfarenheterna har påverkat samtliga respondenter och det präglar hur de förhåller sig till diskursiva termer.

This thesis is an attempt to study computer games and playful computer programs for childrenand youth at Swedish public libraries. The main method used, is qualitative interviews.The main reason the libraries in the study offer computer games and playful computer programsto their users, is that every member of the society shall have opportunity to use newtechnology such as computers and computer programs. The users of this media are for themost part boys. The librarians in our study wish to have pedagogical games and programswithout violent themes at their libraries. Lending computer games and computer programs isnot of any priority for the libraries..

In this report hardware based alternatives to password authentication in a Windows domain are evaluated for the needs of a certain company. In order to investigate the demands on such alternatives interviews with people concerned have been carried out. The demands which resulted from the interviews have been used to select types of hardware tokens for evaluation. Two products which offer authentication with smart cards and USB tokens have been selected and closer evaluated. These are RSA Passage which offers both hardware options and Rainbow iKey which uses USB tokens.

The purpose of this thesis is to gain a better understanding of how elderly people seek and use information in everyday situations. A further aim is to suggest ways for the library to offer more services specifically tailored for pensioners. This is an important topic as pensioners are a rapidly growing group of library users. We conducted qualitative interviews with four elderly people concerning their information needs in everyday life, and discovered that they rarely use the library, preferring instead to get their information from various internet sites and their pensioners? organisation.

The freshwater pearl mussel (Margaritifera margaritifera) is threatened throughout its range. There has been a substantial decline of the species and one major reason is habitat degradation. We investigated how the substrate composition of the bottom floor affects the regeneration of the mussel by analyzing data from the Västerbotten County Board?s inventory of the freshwater pearl mussel. The results implied that fine material such as fine sediment and sand might be detrimental to regeneration whereas gravel and boulders and in particular stone seem to be beneficial.
