Problem: On the basis of the franchisees role and how he look up on his role in his business, should one like the Swedish Law applies characterize the franchisees role as the role of a contractor?Purpose: The purpose with this research is too survey the franchisee in his business and how he looks upon his role as a franchisee and see if this like the Swedish Law states be characterized as the role of a contractor.Methodology: By doing a proportional stratified selection within the the Swedish Franchising community, nine semi structured interviews has been made. The empirical foundation of these interviews has been concentrated and analysed with the support of the chosen theories. The result of the analysis has created the conclusion.Theoretical perspectives: The research is built up of three angels of approach; the role, the business and the economy within the franchisee and the contractor. The three approaches aim too illustrate the role of the franchisee, the franchisees role in the business and the economical effects in franchising.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how some children's librarians view their working situation. There is one main question and three subquestions at issue: How is the working situation of the children's librarians today described by agents on the library field? - Are children's librarians ascribed any value and has this changed during the last three decades'? - What is the apprehension of children's librarians and what qualities should they possess? - What is considered to be most important about work of children's librarians'? The thesis is based on qualitative interviews with children's librarians, library managers and library consultants. The interviews are analysed by the help of Pierre Bourdieu theoretical concepts; capital, habitus, field, doxa and distinction. Today, children's librarians are ascribed capital by their librarian colleagues because of their specialist qualifications.

Syfte: Sammanställa och granska studier gällande postoperativ behandling vid ruptur av ligament patella. Detta för att beskriva effekt och kvalitet på studier om postoperativ behandling.Metod: En beskrivande litteraturstudie valdes som design, med sökorden: patellar ligament, patellar tendon, rupture, knee injuries, surgery. Av totalt 1240 träffar valdes 13 relevanta artiklar publicerade mellan 1999-2013 efter sökningar i databaserna PubMed, PEDro, COCHRANE, SCOPUS, CINAHL, SPORTDiscus och AMED. Artiklarna kvalitetsgranskades enligt PEDro scale.Resultat: Två postoperativa behandlingar beskrevs, tidig och sen mobilisering. Antingen placeras knäleden i ett stabiliserande knäskydd som till en början låser knäleden i full Extension eller så påbörjas tidig mobilisering av den opererade knäleden.

Product development is essential for all companies that want to survive in competitive markets regardless of the characteristics of the product that the company sells. Companies that sell products within product categories which can be seen as bad, also need to develop their products in order to remain competitive. If these bad products add a positive attribute, for example that they get organic, a contradiction within the product arises and they get incongruent. This thesis investigates which effects that follow a launch of an incongruent product. The thesis also examines if these effects are affected by the strength of the brand under which the product is launched.A total of 240 respondents participated in an experimental study where product incongruity was manipulated for two different product categories, where one well known brand and one unknown brand were examined in each category.

Many enterprises have shortcomings in the transfer of information between different departments. Furthermore, routines for maintaining knowledge in order to be able to use this experience in the future are often lacking. Time and resources spent on improving these systems and procedures can provide significant benefits in terms of saved time and reduced costs in the later stages of a project. The benefit of this is not only a greater clarity and a reduced risk of misunderstandings, but also the preservation of knowledge that would otherwise be lost.The aim of this study has been to examine the process of information transfer and the transfer of knowledge between the calculus department and production manager in projects at Erlandsson Bygg i Öst AB. An additional aim was suggestions for improvements in the calculation handover and at the end of a project, where it was possible.The study was primarily conducted through literature studies and interviews.

The aim of this essay is to examine different discourses concerning adolescents and library youth services that can be identified in the material. 73 articles from the Swedish library journal, Biblioteksbladet, were analysed trough a model. The different articles were all published between 1916 and 2005. The analysis revealed a result that consists of four discourses about adolescents and youth services at different libraries between 1916 and 2005: the library as fostering discourse, a new era discourse, the visiting activities discourse and the young adult discourse. The library as fostering discourse is based on the idea that the library itself doesnt need to change the service to adolescents, instead the adolescents are supposed to change into good library users.

Background: Many cancer patients who get bone metastases live longer thanks to the successful research and development of medicines during recent years. Many studies show general health benefits from physical activity. For patients with bone metastases the possibility of physical activity perhaps should limit? Nurses at oncological units are often in lifelong contact with this group of patients. It´s therefore important to have knowledge about the bone metastases and how it influence the patient´s possibility of performing physical activity in order to support and encourage the patient to safely physical activity.Aim: To describe the patient´s possibility of physical activity with metastases to the bone.Method: A literature study.Results: The Extension of the bone metastases shall be verified through X-ray.

I denna studie har två olika GIS-verktygslådor och två typer av kartmaterial jämförts för attundersöka hur väl de kan användas till att modellera ekologisk konnektivitet på kommunnivå.Verktygslådorna som jämförts är Matrixgreen 1.6.4, en Extension till ArcGIS 9.3.1, och ODC,ett urval av verktygen från ArcGIS Spatial Analyst. Som bakgrundsmaterial användes tvåolika typer av data, dels Svensk MarktäckeData (SMD) och dels en vegetationskarteringspecifikt framställd för ändamålet baserat på IRF-bilder. Syftet med studien är att försökaidentifiera en optimal metod för att analysera och kartera ekologisk konnektivitet utifrån demöjligheter och begränsningar som respektive verktygslåda och kartmaterial erbjuder, medtekniska förutsättningar liknande en kommunal tjänstemans. Jämförelserna är gjorda både urett kvalitativt användarvänlighetsperspektiv, och ur ett kvantitativt resultatperspektiv däranalysernas kvalitet och resurseffektivitet bedömts.Resultatet av jämförelserna visar att en analys utförd med Matrixgreen, mjukvara designadspeciellt för att modellera ekologisk konnektivitet är mindre kvalitetsmässigt tillförlitlig än enanalys gjord med ODC. Anledningen till detta är att Matrixgreen i sin nuvarande form ärbegränsat av programmeringsfel, vilket delvis förtar dess användningspotential.

This thesis takes its starting point in the humanistic cultural-geographical concept of place, with the aim of achieving a greater understanding of what constitutes the place Mon today. Mon is located in the northwestern part of Dalsland. Until 1879, the area was described as outlying land, but with the Extension of the railway between V?nern and the Norwegian border, Mon's station community emerged. In the mid-20th century, all activities in Mon were phased out, and since then, the place has been inhabited by only about 10 year-round residents.

The research in question examines whether a newspaper benefits from its activity on the Internet and if so - how. Today, the morning press is relatively stable, but tendencies show that there?s a decrease amongst regular readers. The Extension of this may jeopardize the position of the morning newspapers in the market and several newspapers choose to publish their content on the Internet. An Internet activity is foremost about keeping the position in the market, not to make an economical profit, and to compete at the same terms with free newspapers and news sites.

The main purpose of this thesis is to examine upper secondary school teachers? views of their students? information seeking practices and their perspectives on consider the concept of information literary. The theoretical framework consists of a sociocultural perspective and the empirical material has been collected through interviews with six upper secondary school teachers. The material is analyzed phenomenographically and revealed three practices. Social science teachers consider the library and librarian to be valuable resources for students? information seeking, particularly in view of information overload in society today.

The purpose of this study is to investigate in what Extension students experience that computer and videogames affect them. I have chosen to focus on the physical, mental and social affect that this activity might bring them. I have also examined how much time the students spends in front of the computer or the videogame and in which social context they play.The method I have chosen to use is a quantitative opinion poll which I used in three classes of the later junior high and I have also conducted five qualitative interviews.The conclusions I have drawn from this investigation are that computer and videogames affects teenagers both physically and mentally. Physically the affects of playing videogames mostly can be derived to the physical inactivity they expose themselves to. The students themselves did not experienced any positive physical affects from their playing.Amongst the mental affects that stood out the most I recognized the social training that online gaming provided and also the intellectual stimulation that certain games offered the player.

The purpose of this work is to design and construct a device able to measure the mechanical attrition of oxygen carrier particles. Those particles are used in chemical looping combustion and in the present situation there is a lack of knowledge in how the attrition process work and in which Extension. To find already tested solutions trying to answering this problem a literature study wascarried out and the best solution found was the so called Grace-Davison Jet-Cup method. This method is supposed to emulate the attrition caused by a cyclone separator and its advantages are that it is possible to use small test amounts, 5-10 g, and a thirty minutes long test will be enough to acquire useable results. An device was designed based on the Jet-Cup method with some slight modifications.

Kandidatarbetet syftar till att rita en tillbyggnad till Nationalmuseum i Stockholm. Museets nuvarande lokaler ska inom en snar framtid omorganiseras, de verksamheter (konservering, forskning, adminstration etc) som idag är förlagda till huvudbyggnaden ska placeras i en tillbyggnad. Den nuvarande tillbyggnaden (annexet) ska rivas. Tillbyggnaden i detta kandidatprojekt, är placerad på Nationalmuseums baksida. En mindre huskropp i fyra våningar agerar huvudsakligt fasadmotiv och innehåller lastintag och entré på gatuplan, studiesal och referensbibliotek på plan 2 och kontor på plan 3 och 4.

Ruptur av främre korsbandet hos hund är en vanlig orsak till hälta. Ofta utvärderas hälta hos hundar subjektivt, men det har visats att det finns behov av objektiva mätmetoder som är känsligare.Syftet med studien var att utföra en pilotstudie över huruvida kinematik är en mätmetod som kan användas för att undersöka hur rörelsemönstret i skritt förändras hos hundar postoperativt efter en unilateral främre korsbandsskada. I studien ingick två friska hundar och två hundar, som hade opererats med TPLO på grund av unilateral korsbandsskada i sin vänstra knäled. Samtliga hundar var av rasen labrador retriever och matchades parvis med avseende på ålder, kön och vikt. Fördefinierade anatomiska hållpunkter på hundarna märktes upp med reflexmarkörer på hundarna.
