This paper explores a model for self-assessment of purchasing maturity in large companies. The author adapts contemporary purchasing theory and further enhances existing tools and procedures to create a survey based instrument for maturity measurementThe paper also explores potential methodological challenges associated with conducting a more extensive study of purchasing maturity via the proposed model. A preliminary study is made and the learnings discussed.The preliminary findings of the survey indicate that the purchasing maturity varies with industry. The purpose of this thesis is to understand the implications of corruptions and why networks have come to play a key role in the Moldovan culture and if the formations of network are due to heritage or an effect of functionalism. The focus of the study is also to explain how the networks develop and the formation and maintenance of loyalty and trust among the members of the network. The study is of a qualitative nature that uses a key informant sampling method to get access to members of different business networks.

Wind damages next to strip roads in 1st and 2nd thinning in Boxholm, Östergötland Anneli Fransson, SLU, inst f sydsvensk skogsvetenskap, Examensarbete no 108 Wind damage is something we are all familiar with since the storms Gudrun (2005) and Per (2007). Research about strip roads and wind damage is very limited. It is commonly known that the trees next to the strip roads more often fall whit heavy winds, and the purpose of this thesis was to verify this statement. Data was collected from first- and second thinnings at Boxholms Skogar AB, Östergötland. In first thinnings data was collected from both spruce and pine stands and second thinnings only data from spruce stands was collected.

This thesis deals with query formulation in full text retrieval. The variables studied were query expansion and query structur[INS: e :INS , and the aim of the thesis is to study their co-effects on retrieval performance in a probabilistic system. The expansion was made with synonyms, and the structure by expressing facets and phrases. The study was performed using QPA, Query Performance Analyzer, which includes InQuery retrieval system and a sub-collection of TREC documents with its topics. The measurement used was precision at 11 DCV points.

Det innebär att företagen i branschen förvaltar pengarna i flera decennier och därför placerar de ofta i långa obligationer men även i aktier och fastigheter för att få högre avkastning. I september 2011 uppdagades det i flertalet artiklar hur oron på börsen pressar livbolagen. Börsraset har gjort att de värdepapper som livbolagen haft som tillgångar har gått ned. Vidare påverkar börsraset skulderna då nuvärdet på skulderna ökar vilket innebär att livbolagens åtaganden gentemot försäkringstagarna överstiger tillgångarna.

Detta arbete ämnar undersöka området Business Intelligence (BI) inom den svenska sjukvården. BI definieras som en uppsättning verktyg som används för att stödja omvandling av data till information, som sedan kan användas för att fatta beslut. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka och presentera effekter av BI som kan uppstå i verksamheter inom svensk sjukvård. Undersökningen genomfördes kvalitativt med fyra intervjuer. Teori om effekter av BI inom sjukvården och förmågor en sjukvårdsverksamhet kan uppnå av BI har hämtats ur litteratur.

Ett gemensamt regelsystem - IFRS implementerades för svenska noterade koncerner med början år 2005. Under många år har valutaeffektsredovisningen varit ett komplicerad och omdebatterat område. Före implementeringen av IFRS år 2005 redovisade svenska koncerner valutaeffekter i enlighet med RR 8 Effekter av ändrade valutakurser. Efter koncernernas konvertering till IFRS sker redovisning av valutaeffekter istället enligt IAS 21 Effekterna av ändrade valutakurser.

Abstract This report is our bachelor thesis. Our work has taken place at a galvanising company in Sölvesborg. The company faced major changes, of which one was a computerisation process. The new system could involve changes in work practice and in specific tasks, affecting the workers. If the coming system was to support work, from the production personnel?s perspective, we felt a legitimate participation in the development and design of the future work practice, was a requirement that was not met. During our ethnographical studies we noted that conflicts arose between production and administrative -personnel.

DataWarehouse which is a central part of Business Intelligence can be built in severalways but the methods presented by Ralph Kimball and Bill Inmons are considered thetwo main methods. The solution provided by Inmon focuses on integrating the entirebusiness into one large database using relational database development. Kimballhowever proposes dimensional database modeling by creating one or more data martsand integrating these using a data bus. By studying mainly press material and political documents it has been made clear that Tensta Konsthall?s location in an ill reputed suburb of Stockholm has been the cause for its exposure to different demands and expectations compared to other similar exhibition spaces. För att söka synliggöra min problemställning är teoretiska utgångspunkter för denna studie Giddens (2002) teori om människans reflexiva identitetsskapande samt Goffmans (2009) teori om presentation och idealisering. Det som studeras i denna studie är fyra olika företag som utgörs av Manpower, Poolia, Billabong samt Louis Vuitton och deras tillhörande hemsidor. De två förstnämnda företagen representerar tjänsteföretag och de två sistnämnda varuföretag.
