In this study I have analysed the history of a forest belonging to Saxåhyttan in Värmland. The study area is 448 hectares and has been used by iron industry since the 16th century. A forest that has been used by man during at least 400 years should have few ecological values. This inventory however shows the opposite. The aim of the study is to interpret the history of the forest in the area, i. e.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka uppfattningar av utsatta barns behov i förskolan hos förskollärare. Studien utgick från följande tre frågeställningar; Vilka uppfattningar förekommer hos förskollärare av utsatta barns behov i förskolan? Hur uppfattar förskollärare sina möjligheter att skapa gynnsammare förutsättningar för de utsatta barnen i förskolan? Vad är förskollärares uppfattningar av hur utsatta barn i förskolan upptäcks? Den här fenomenografiska studien genomfördes med hjälp av sex kvalitativa intervjuer med förskollärare från fyra olika förskolor. Resultatet redovisas som skilda beskrivningskategorier. När det gäller utsatta barns behov är kategorierna; behov kopplade till barnet; psykosocialt och biologiskt samt behov kopplade till miljön.

Total protection is often the option chosen when protecting forests with high environmental values. An alternative to total protection is application of management regimes that do not interrupt continuity of tree cover. This study focuses mainly on continuous cover forestry (CCF) in forest stands already protected. All objects are situated in the county of Jämtland in northwest Sweden. The purpose of the study was to attain a greater knowledge about CCF practices.

Föreliggande uppsats syftar till att genom kvalitativa samtalsintervjuer ta reda på hur ett antal lärare undervisande i årskurs 4-6 upplever ett ökat fokus på bedömning av elevers kunskapsutveckling och lärande.Tre grundläggande inställningar till bedömning framträder i intervjumaterialet; bedömning som en självklar del av läraruppdraget, bedömning som tidstjuv och skrivbordsprodukt samt inställningen till bedömning som ett påtvingat ont. Bakom lärarnas explicita uttalanden om en bedömning som syftar till att ta reda på vad eleven har lärt sig, kan i huvudsak bedömningsfunktioner som kontroll och information skönjas.När ett maktperspektiv appliceras på intervjumaterialet framträder lärares bedömningsrelaterade arbete som grundat på en samtyckesproducerande maktutövning, vilken förutsätter elevers och föräldrars delaktighet och syftar till att dessa ska förstå och acceptera lärarens verklighetsbeskrivning. Lärares bedömningar kan vidare förstås fungera eftersom eleven, genom vetskap om att hon är inordnad i ett bedömande system, anpassar sig efter detta. Bedömning utgör således ett sätt på vilket läraren kontrollerar eleverna och klassrumssituationen.Lärarna i studien tycks omedvetna om den makt som de genom bedömning utövar  över elever och föräldrar. Utifrån föreliggande uppsats perspektiv, framträder dock tydligt bilden av lärares bedömningsrelaterade arbete som en praktik där makt och maktutövande är en nödvändig, om än i strukturen dold, förutsättning..

We were accepted to the field study Dignity and therefore chose to write our thesis in connection with it. Our subject is the oasis of Siwa in Egypt. The society has long been isolated, and therefore, the city has been able to preserve their handicraft methods and values. We chose to study the Ecological and Handicraft Development Center, which is a newly opened center for craft production. We wanted to see how the centre could use storytelling as a marketing strategy.

This bachelor's thesis examines three books in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The aim is to increase understanding for what Harry Potter could contribute in terms of morality in religious studies, and how the story about Harry Potter, as a popular literary phenomenon, can be helpful for this. Lawrence Kohlberg's theory of moral development is central to this essay.I have used an hermeneutic method for the analysis of the Harry Potter books. The result shows that the main character, Harry Potter, can be seen as kind of a role model when it comes to moral development. In this essay I consider a self-experienced dilemma, and review how I, as a preschool teacher, treat a child with special needs. With the support of literature and theory, I can, with an essay writing approach, reflect and analyze the dilemma. In this way I will examine my practical knowledge and personal experiences of a complex situation. I want to examine whether children with special needs who are included in regular preschool activities, really get the support they need and deserve. Do educators have the conditions and does preschool have sufficient resources to realize this? Do educators have sufficient knowledge of how children with special needs should be responded to? I want to find out how the included children's social development and self-image is shaped by the treatment they receive at the preschool.

Den här magisteruppsatsen söker att besvara forskningsfrågan kring hur den didaktiska strategin livslångt lärande legitimerats som didaktisk strategi i den globala kontexten. Detta sker genom en hermeneutisk läsning och analys av centrala texter inom forskningsområdet och genom att tolka resultatet genom Berger och Luckmanns? socialkonstruktionistiska teori för legitimering. Resultatet tycks peka på att centrala aktörers definition, tolkning och användning av begreppet globalisering samt användandet av ett språk präglat av en underliggande politisk ideologi formar vad som liknas vid ett symboliskt universa. Detta har i sin tur skapat förutsättningarna för en introduktion och legitimering av den explicita teorin livslångt lärande som en typ av didaktisk strategi.
