This thesis deals with questions about competences and qualities that librarians inpublic libraries find that they need to be qualified suppliers of literature (books andmagazines).Our aim is to problematize the competence of the profession in relation to promotingliterature, knowledge in literature and reading habits. We want to know what librariansthemselves think about their own competences when it comes to supplying andpromoting literature. Does it have to be a leisure interest or do they get the possibility toread during working hours?What do librarians think it means to be a qualified promotor of literature and how dothey acquire the right competence? Do they believe that their competence correspondswith the occupational requirements? How much of their knowledge about literature andpromoting literature comes from personal interest and commitment?We primarily used the theories about competence by Per-Erik Ellström. One of thetheories is the one of implicit and explicit knowledge.

A new curriculum, Lgr11, was introduced in Sweden during the Autumn Semester 2011. My aim in this paper is to investigate whether an integrated and interdisciplinary approach is possible within this new Swedish curriculum.Firstly, I will describe the approach to integration and interdisciplinary work used in the new Swedish curriculum. Secondly, I will analyze whether the curriculum allows for an integrated and interdisciplinary work.The method used in this paper is a qualitative textual analysis and analyzing the new curriculum´s approach to integration and interdisciplinary education has been the focus. The analysis has been based on the explicit and implicit basics of integration and interdisciplinary work in the curriculum.I assume theories of subject integration and curricula to come up with my results in the paper.To conclude, the results of my analysis of the curriculum show that an integrated and interdisciplinary approach is not only possible, but it is also each school Principal's responsibility as well as part of each teacher`s objective. The Principal's responsibility is to ensure that the integration and interdisciplinary approach is undertaken in school. The curriculum is clear that teachers should let their students work interdisciplinary as well as vary their methods of teaching.

Denna uppsats behandlar hur agila metoder kan användas som ett verktyg för att överföra kunskap mellan enheter och individer i en organisation. Relevansen i detta ämne har sin grund i att kunskapsöverföring idag är en central faktor för organisationer att skapa konkurrensfördelar. Uppsatsen behandlar även hur organisationer genom användning av agila metoder kan överkomma traditionella utmaningar vid kunskapsöverföring. För att få en förståelse för kunskapsöverföringsprocessen och hur de agila metoderna fungerar i praktiken samt hur dessa två kan sammankopplas, genomfördes en kvalitativ studie hos den agila organisationen Spotify. Studien visade att agila metoder kan användas som ett verktyg för överföring av kunskap genom främst tre faktorer, de självstyrande enheterna, dess tvärfunktionalitet samt hur agila metoder påverkar organisationskulturen.

Essän belyser de problem som kan uppstå i utvecklingen av ett yrkesutövande på en skola eller en arbetsplats. Problem som är svåra att sätta ord på och som framstår som dilemman då de är abstrakta i sin utformning.Att lära sig ett yrke kan vara svårt, framför allt de yrken som kräver en speciell yrkeskunskap som kan vara svår att sätta ord på. Den tysta kunskapen. Att lära ut denna kunskap kräver speciella metoder. I denna essä har dialogseminariemetoden använts som är ett sätt att reflektera över kunskap och lärande.

The first aim of this thesis is to descriptively identify and chart the activities of the strategic intelligence and environmental scanning that take place at the regional collaboration network Regionförbundet Örebro. This identification is essential in reaching the comprehensive and primary aim of the thesis: to discuss, through normative discourse, what the options of improvement are and in which ways systematic operations can be integrating parts in the organization. In order to offer guidance of development from the perspectives of environmental scanning, the question at issue has emanated from activities concerning the present methods of working at Regionförbundet Örebro.During the creation of this thesis, several interviews have been made with people who are regarded to be key roles within the regional collaboration network. An analysis has been made, based on governing documents and answers from the interviews, where possible improvements of the business have been identified. The inferences become parts of a greater potential of amelioration since they are presented as active solutions and proposals that can be directly adaptable to the organization.Our proposals of improvements/ameliorations are constituted by a number of concrete/explicit points such as: a wider public information supply and an introduction of several annual routines and methods..

The present research examined both automatic and controlled processes in newpapers ability of priming racial stereotypes via the portrayals of people of foreign extraction. The automatic process were examined through articles which; a) involved an illegal act or b) the act was not illegal but morally questionable. Swedish-born subject?s explicit opinions against foreign people were also measured through ?The Modern Racial Prejudice Scale?. In the experiment participants read four different articles which included; Swedish person/noncrime, foreign person/noncrime, Swedish person/crime and foreign person/crime.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att utifrån nyhetsrapporteringen i Ystads Allehanda och Sydsvenska Dagbladet Snällposten undersöka vems röster som gjordes hörda i den massmediala diskursen kring den asiatiska influensan som grasserade 1957. Utifrån olika teman, som jag vid närläsningen kunde identifiera som återkommande i nyhetstexterna, studerar jag vad man talade om och hur man talade om detta. Jag studerar också vem mottagarna var och om det förmedlas några speciella budskap. Dessutom gör jag en jämförelse av de båda tidningarnas rapportering i egenskap av att SDS kan sägas representera stad medan YA representerar landsbygd. Undersökningen genomförs med utgångspunkt i Faircloughs kritiska diskursanalys och utifrån det teoretiska perspektivet att språket i sig är en handling. Vad som förmedlas via språket är ingen avspegling av verkligheten, utan en konstruktion, som utifrån olika perspektiv och syften skapar ?sanningar?.

The aim with this essay is to investigate the attitude that employers have towards conflicts at the workplace and how this affects their way to prevent and deal with conflicts among employees. Another part of the essay is to discuss pedagogical issues related to learning through conflicts. With this aim and these questions of issues, we have found out which attitude employers have towards conflicts at the workplace as well as how they prevent and deal with them. We have also investigated which opportunities for further development employers sees in situations of conflict. This study is based on qualitative interviews with six women who are head of units within the communal area.

This Masters thesis aims at investigating how 15-year old girls use the Internet, particularly on their free time, taking a source critical perspective. It includes group interviews. The main question of this thesis was whether there is a need for specific user education. The following four questions were asked: What do they do on the Internet during their free time? In what way do the girls learn how to interact with each other on the Internet? How do they relate to different types of web pages and materials from a source critical aspect? What content do they consider to be relevant in a user education? The study is mainly focused on information use and information behaviour in different contexts.

Background: Competence development has become more important since the pressure on effectiveness is increasing and organisations are expected to constantly improvement. The design of the competence development activities is governed by the strategy which in turn will affect the outcome of the same. A knowledge intense business in which changes recently have taken place is healthcare, a business in which competition also has increased as a result from globalization. Due to this, it is highly important to take care of and improve the competence of individuals. According to this, we have found that healthcare is an interesting business to study with regard to competence development.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka hur brukaren och brukarperspektivet beskrivs i tidningen Evidensbaserad praktik. Frågeställningarna har handlat om de diskurser som funnits kring brukaren och brukarperspektivet och vilken vikt som läggs vid brukarens kunskap. Metoden som har använts i uppsatsen är en kritisk diskursanalys. Studiens resultat visade att det i tidningen framträdde ett flertal diskurser. I beskrivningen av brukaren gick det att urskilja två diskurser som har använts, en klientdiskurs och en brukardiskurs.

The environmental situation is becoming increasingly critical. The energy sector and other industries have a big impact on our climate and the public is raising their voice for companies to admit their responsibility towards the environment and society. Companies engage in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and happily disclose their responsible performance in annual reports. But what messages are they conveying in their CSR-reporting, and what attitudes towards CSR can be found underneath the explicit content? The aim of this study is to discover which discourses exist in CSR-reports from Swedish energy companies, and how these discourses operate.

Problem: Hög personalomsättning är en realitet i många branscher, vilket gör att företag står för utmaningen att framgångsrikt bevara kunskapen inom företaget när de anställda väljer att lämna. Eftersom att kunskapen i ett företag är starkt relaterad till företagets konkurrenskraft är det av stor vikt att ta till vara på och sprida kunskapen som har utvecklats och som existerar hos de anställda. Tyst personlig kunskap är svår att kodifiera, och på så sätt svår att bevara.Syfte: Denna uppsats syftar till att inom ämnet Knowledge Management undersöka hur kunskap överförs via face-to-face processer. Studien ämnar examinera frågan hur tyst kunskap överförs och bevaras i ett kunskapsintensivt företag, och då vilken roll interaktionen mellan individer spelar i kunskapsöverföringsprocessen.Metod: Denna studie antar en kvalitativ ansats, med karaktären av både deskriptiv och explorativ studie. Data har primärt samlats in genom intervjuer på två olika företag inom revisionsbranschen.Slutsatser: Face-to-face processer såsom teamarbete, nätverk och sociala aktiviteter används på de kunskapsintensiva företagen som metoder för överföring av tyst kunskap, flera av dessa processer är dock inte vedertagna kunskapsöverföringsprocesser för medarbetare.

Den här rapporten behandlar frågeställningen om hur man kan anpassa systemutvecklingav ett informationssystem enligt livscykelmodellen till att inkludera användbarhetstester. Frågeställningen grundar sig i att god användbarhet inte är ett explicit uttryckt mål i Andersens beskrivning av livscykelmodellen. För att besvara frågeställningen har vi utvecklat och testat ett bokningssystem åt en mindre verksamhet. Utvecklingsarbetet har bedrivits enligt en egen anpassning av livscykelmodellen. Testerna har utförts enligt metoden cooperativ evaluation.

This study explores the notion of class and social inequality as expressed in the Swedish election campaign of 2006 and in the reception of the Swedish conservative party as a "worker's party". Inspired by Fairclough's critical discourse analysis I have carried through an investigation of the debate. My sources consists in a collection of articles, mainly leader columns and contributions to the debate, from a selected number of Swedish newspapers.I found that an explicit discussion about class, or use of the concept as such, was largely absent. In cases where the concept occurred it was often used in a purely descriptive sense or dismissed as outdated. Furthermore, I have drawn the conclusion that the traditional understanding of class is being challenged by a discourse which aims at establishing a new understanding of social inequality as lack of paid work.I take my point of departure in the belief that class continues to be one of the most important bases of social inequality.
