This report treats a Master Thesis performed at Scania CV AB. The task was to create a computer model of a hydraulic actuator system in the software AVL Hydsim. The system consists of two spring-loaded masses with surrounding hydraulic components. The purpose of the model is to study phenomenon and problems in the system, as well as to be a support in the development of the system. It is not supposed to be used to study absolute values in its current form.

Den här rapporten har som syfte att utreda vilket eldistributionssystem för offshoreenheter som sparar mest vikt och utrymme. De två elsystem som jämförs är GVAs standard system och Siemens Blue Drive System. Rapporten innehåller en teoretisk bakgrund för båda systemen och dimensionering av systemens kraftkablar samt beräkning av kabelvikter och komponentvikten för systemen. För att uppskatta kabel- rutter och längder kommer ritningsunderlag för GVAs offshoreenhet 7500 att användas.Resultatet visar att GVAs standard system är det eldistributionssystem som har den lägsta totalvikten med 168 ton, GVAs standard system har en vikt som är 101 ton lägre än Siemens Blue Drive System som har en vikt på är 269 ton. GVAs standard system har en lägre ström vilket gör att ledararean blir mindre och i med det blir kabelvikten mindre.

Bakgrund: Studiefrämjandet är en organisation som har i uppgift av staten att främjafolkbildning. De arbetar med kulturutveckling och agerar stöd för föreningar som är inriktadepå kultur och fritidsintressen. I sitt arbete stöter de på många människor och ställs ofta infören kommunikativ situation. Studiefrämjandet undersöktes med inriktning på deraskommunikationsplan men främst med fokus på deras bemötande. Utan riktlinjer kan det varasvårt att veta hur man ska agera och speciellt för någon som är ny antingen som anställd eller som cirkelledare i Studiefrämjandets regi.Syfte: Att undersöka Studiefrämjandets kommunikationsplan med inriktning på bemötande och ge förslag till förbättringar.Metod: En kvalitativ undersökning av Studiefrämjandets material som granskats med hjälp avexisterande kommunikationsteorier och vetenskapliga artiklar.Resultat: Det visade sig att Studiefrämjandet inte har någon utförlig kommunikationsplan eller någon utbildning inom kommunikation.

The purpose of this essay is to do an ecocritical reading of Vilhelm Moberg?s The Emi-grants from 1949. By asking and answering the three following questions; How does a system present itself, What are the different reasons for emigration; Why does differentsystem fit some well and some not.By using two articles from Green Planets - Ecology and Science Fiction to illus-trate two different views; Different parts value in an ekosystem and The Ship as an ecosystem. I have also created, based on the literary text four different terms concern-ing the dynamic system; Stable, Static, Unstable and Collapsing systems. I have found that all system goes through changes, some drastic, that changes the way the parts of the systems fit with in it.

Detta arbete beskriver en kvalitativ fallstudie som utförts för att undersöka hur ett företags produktportfölj samt varumärke kan skrivas in i gränssnittsriktlinjer för att framtida gränssnitt ska designas i enhetlighet med existerande produktportfölj samt varumärke. Fallstudien utfördes inom robotindustrin där en gränssnittsriktlinje utvecklades. Gränssnittet som var föremål för studien fanns på en handhållen enhet vilken används för att programmera och manövrera en robot. En arbetsgång i 13 steg togs fram, vilken anses kunna appliceras även på andra områden än robotindustrin för att skapa gränssnittsriktlinjer där både varumärke och produktportfölj tydligt framgår. En analys av de framtagna riktlinjerna efter utförd fallstudie, styrkte även denna uppfattning.

Ett problem med elektroniska patientjournalsystem är att arkitekturen för patientjournalerna inte är gemensam vilket försvårar automatiskt utbyte av patientdata. En arkitektur har skapats inom ett projekt som heter openEHR. Förhoppningen är att denna arkitektur ska klara av automatiskt utbyte av patientdata mellan elektroniska patientjournalsystem.I openEHRs arkitektur används något som kallas arketyper. Arketyper är återanvändbara modeller för att begränsa, strukturera och förklara vad som lagras i elektroniska patientjournaler som bygger på denna arkitektur. Istället för att områdesspecifik information, som vad ett blodtryck är, skapas i systemet flyttas den och annan liknande kunskap ut från systemarkitekturen och in i arketyperna.

This Thesis aims to explore how to integrate an IT-system for facilitating anorganizations work with Continous Impprovements.This is done here by examining and analyzing the process within a handful ofcompanies who seem to have been successful with their own implementations. Thestudy is focused on the implementation of one particular system, "System C2".Simliarities and differences between the companies, and the established rule of thumbfor these kind of activities are focused upon. This to emphasis how another actormight emulate some of the apparent success.Part of the core question is found in the title, since Continous Improvement is oftenseen as a relativly low-risk activity, is it then also possible to take a low-risk slow pathto the implementation of such a system in the entire organization?.

Examenarbetesrapporten behandlar utvecklingen av ett modulbaserat informationshanteringssystem. Systemet ska inte bara byggas utan också konstrueras för att fungera som en eller multipla instanser (av applikationen) i den existerande portallösningen, vilken är utvecklad av företaget MindValue. Portalsystemet är ett verktyg som gör det möjligt för deras kunder, i samverkan med MindValue, att skapa sina egna portaler.Det som annars särskiljer det här systemet från många andra informationshanteringssystem är kategoriseringen av systemets information och möjligheten till fritextsökning bland informationssidornas (posternas) textbaserade filer.Utvecklingen av systemet har skett iterativt och inkrementellt. Det vill säga utveckling genom att iterera systemet genom att bygga det version för version, tills resultatet är det önskade. Fokus har legat framförallt på utvecklingen och inte lika mycket på dokumentationen.

This thesis aims to develop a control system for measuring electromagnetic compability (EMC). This has meant that a controller designed around an ATmega8 microcontroller has been manufactured and programmed. It has also meant the development of a comprehensive control software in the program MATLAB. The control system has been tested with satisfactory results and can now, monitor and control measurements of the EMC-type..

The aims of the practical work carried out for this thesis were to redesign a clinical decision support system for thoracic surgeons, called AssistMe, and to evaluate the concept behind this system. The main objective of the thesis is to give an account of the considerations that were found to be of key importance for designing a clinical decision support system for thoracic surgery. Another aim was to let future users test the system after it had been redesigned and evaluate the concept behind it. The thesis also investigates users? experience of the system and their views on whether it would be applicable in their daily work practice.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the opportunities of classification of web pages. Two classification systems are compared; a library classification system traditional and a system that is developed for use on the web new. UDC is chosen to represent the traditional systems, and Yahoo! represents a so called new system. UDC is used by NISS Directory of networked resources, which is a directory that uses the system for organisation of electronic resources. Both systems are analysed from two different perspectives, a multidisciplinary and a timeperspective.

The client, Senselogic, had noticed an increased demand for an e-commerce system integrated into its product, SiteVision, something that did not previously exist. Senselogic wanted to integrate a third-party system to manage e-commerce. The problem was that there were very many e-commerce solutions to choose from. In order to select the best system it was necessary to evaluate the e-commerce systems and compare them to each other. To identify the elements that has to be included in an e-commerce system a study of literature was conducted.

SharePoint is a web based platform designed to provide internal communications and file sharing for businesses and organizations.In this project, we created a system consisting of multiple applications to be used together with SharePoint. These applications are meant to simplify the workflow for internal orders of products. The system is targeted towards companies that do not have a flexible approach to digital orders or companies that want to integrate this functionality into their SharePoint platform. The project includes, in addition to the creation of the system, installation of the software and the servers needed to run a SharePoint environment and their configurations.The system consists of four applications where one of these, the store application, is required for the system to be used at all. The other applications are an order management application, a purchase application and an incoming delivery application. Of these four, we have implemented the store application and the order management application. Our hope is that users will find the system easy to use and graphically appealing..

Ett ERP-system syftar till att ta hand om företagets resurser och skapa ett enhetligt integrerat system för dessa. ERP-system kan också användas för informationsutbyte mellan företaget, kunden och leverantörens system. Behov av ERP-system finns inom de flesta branscher oavsett storlek och inriktning men kritik har riktats mot att systemen inte lever upp till användarnas förväntningar eller tillfredställer användarens behov. Arbetets fokus ligger koncentrerat på hur mindre företags uppfattning om ERP-system är och vad som krävs av en ERP-leverantör för att i framtiden tillfredställa mindre företag. En surveyundersökning har använts för att få fram relevant information för att lösa min problemprecisering.

This document is a summary of my work to create a project management system for a small firm working with computer graphics. The intention is to manage customers, projects, images and invoices in the easiest possible way. To make the system as flexible as possible a web-interface was chosen which makes it possible to access the system from any computer, making it independent of any particular operating system. The only requirement on the user environment is that the computer must have a connection to the Internet to be able to access the system. The different techniques that have been used to develop the project management system is primarily Ruby on Rails and a MySQL database.
