Det statliga järnvägsnätet som byggdes i Sverige under 1800-talets senare del har haft stor betydelse för landets tillväxt. Banornas sträckning och byggsätt gav upphov till livliga debatter i riksdagen som slutligen resulterade i det stambanenät som än idag ligger till grund för Sveriges transportinfrastruktur. Vilken spårvidd som skulle användas var en viktig fråga i debatterna, och att Sveriges statsbanor skulle ha en och samma spårvidd var långt ifrån självklart.Denna studie undersöker och analyserar varför de norrländska stambanorna slutligen kom att byggas med samma spårvidd som övriga landets stambanor, och därigenom bli en integrerad del av det statliga järnvägsnätet. Ursprungligen var de norrländska banorna tänkta att byggas med smalare spårvidd, något som skulle innebära att detta nätverk skulle ha isolerats från södra Sveriges. Detta beslut ändras emellertid innan byggandet påbörjats.Genom att kvalitativt studera riksdagsprotokollen från debatterna om järnvägen som byggdes mellan Storvik till Torpshammar och vidare till den norska riksgränsen för att ansluta till en norsk bana kommande från Trondheim, undersöks de argument som framfördes i debatten ur dels en sociopolitisk och dels en ekonomisk synvinkel.

The state of health in Sweden demonstrates a high average length of life at the same time as diseases, due to luxurious living, grew into more and more widespread public health problems. Finding out that information is not enough to get man to live healthy has been conducive to a pedagogic based health education. An illustration of such an education is Public health pedagogy at the University of Kristianstad. The question is, does this education correspond to the new claims that society lays to health work? Our purpose was to throw light upon how individuals, qualified as public health pedagogues, look upon their work on one hand and how different clusters of thought from their study programme are conceived as activated in their professional exercise on the other.

The purpose of my work is to understand and examine the reasons why Ethiopia has not developed a larger decline of female genital mutilation, despite their ban on it? A ban that has been operating for ten years should reasonably have reached a greater change than the one Ethiopia has developed today. Based on two different branches of feminist theory, the liberal feminist theory and radical feminist theory, I will try to understand the potential power relationship that can be a immense reason for Ethiopia's continued practice with regard to female genital mutilation. I will examine the liberal feminist approach when it comes to seeing the state as the source of the balance of power that generate inequality in the world between men and women. I will also apply the radical feminist theory on my case study and understand the problem of patriarchy and its already set roles for men and women that we are following in the society today, resulting in gender inequality. The result shows that the radical feminist approach with patriarchy as essential explanation, which articulates that because of ancient traditions and the exercise of power, the amendment must be the changing of power relations between men and women in the private sphere rather than the liberal feminist approach which applies that the state repair the problem..

The purpose of the study was to examine what methods and strategies individuals use to maintain their weight loss. Another aim was to explore which factors can complicate or simplify weight loss maintenance. Fifty-four individuals who had maintained their weight loss more than a year, participated by answering a questionnaire. The questionnaire was constructed and distributed through the internet. The answers were registered in the program google docs.  The participants mentioned successful methods and strategies, such as exercising regularly, the majority exercised 30 minutes at least five times per week.

Objective: The objective is to examine if long terms of payment are created because of a perceived zero-sum game in the cash-to-cash cycles between companies. The study will also examine if dependence effects the dependent companies Cash-to-Cash-cycle because of long terms of payment. Scientific method: The study uses a qualitative and a quantitative method, where primary data is collected from semi-structured interviews. Additional primary data is collected from an unstructured interview with an expert in the field of which is examined. Additional data has been collected from the studied companies? annual reports.Theoretical references: The primary theory has been Game theory, where the researchers have used this theory to analyze the behaviors of the companies.

Att behärska två språk och två länders syn på pedagogik är en bra förutsättning om man vill undersöka och jämföra dessa två länders syn på barn med funktionsnedsättning. Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är därmed att belysa hur skolans styrdokument i Sverige och i Ungern formulerar och beskriver barn med funktionsnedsättning. En del av syftet är också att finna likheter och skillnader mellan det svenska och det ungerska styrdokumentet.Som material till ändamålet används den nya svenska Skollagen (2010) och den ungerska Utbildningslagen (1993). Analysen genomfördes med analysverktyget diskursanalys där jag har analyserat språket som beskriver barn med funktionsnedsättning.Resultaten visar att båda skollagarna har en tydlig koppling till de gällande internationella dokumenten där allas lika värde poängteras. Den svenska Skollagen har dessutom en relationell och deltagande syn på funktionsnedsättning medan den ungerska Utbildningslagen, som är 17 år äldre än den svenska lagen, betonar en kompensatorisk och individinriktad syn..

The horse is a homeothermic animal and to keep a constant body temperature in winter season is important. Acclimatisation is to provide means for a good thermal insulation consisting of skin, hair, and an outer air layer. The skin covers the horses body and it is composed of three main layers where the top layer of the epidermis consists of dead keratinized cells that are constantly being sheed. The dermis is composed of collagen connective tissue that give the skin its strength. The bottom layer with subcutaneous fat provides a thermal insulation and can be used as an energy reserve in cold weather.

Det främsta syftet med denna uppsats var att prova en hypotes och se om elever i årskurs fem på en skola med hälsoprofil påverkas till en mer fysisk aktiv fritid än de elever som går på en skola utan hälsoinriktning. Ett undersyfte var även att se om det finns någon skillnad på idrottsintresset hos flickorna och pojkarna. Huvudfrågan är ?Hur ser elevers motionsvanor ut på fritiden på en hälsoinriktad skola jämfört med skola utan inriktning mot hälsa?? För att få svar på frågeställningen gjordes en enkätundersökning på 70 elever i årskurs fem på två olika skolor. Därefter gjordes intervjuer på sju slumpvist utvalda elever på hälsoskolan för att lite tydligare få fram vad som motiverar dem till fysisk aktivitet. Genom litteraturundersökning tog jag reda på tidigare forskningsresultat och även vad skollagen har för krav och mål vad gäller ämnet idrott och hälsa.

In this study we wanted to have a closer look at how a specific working team of pedagogues in the senior part of elementary school works with student influence through a pedagogical concept created by themselves. We have used qualitative interviews as a method to achieve relevant information from the pedagogues, and from students teached by the same.The purpose of the study was to investigate how the working team, through the concept, pursue real student influence within different school subjects and how the individual student is favored in his/her learning process. Another intention was to find out to what extent the students experience this influence. We also wanted to elucidate the advantages as well as the disadvantages of this concept, and to shed some light on how the informants view the future development of the concept.The result shows that consensus prevails to a large extent among teachers and students regarding the signification of real student influence in the everyday learning situation. It also appears that the students? abilities to exercise influence vary between different school subjects.

Laser for material processing possesses a number of advantages which mean that it has been and will be an important component for a wide range of industries' future development. Cutting materials processing is the dominant use of laser technology and has revolutionized the manufacturing industry. The aim of this thesis is to describe the principles of metal cutting by laser, how laser cutting is applied in practice and to identify how Swedish companies are using laser cutting. For the theoretical and technical description of laser cutting literature studies are the primary source of information. The empirical basis for the mapping of the Swedish industry for laser cutting is grounded on a survey; this includes Swedish companies that use laser cutting in their production.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka vilka sjukgymnastiska behandlingsmetoder för att förbättra gångförmågan efter stroke som har dokumenterats, med avseende på effekt efter behandlingen, bestående effekt samt vilken vetenskaplig evidens som finns för dessa. Litteratursökning genomfördes i databaserna PubMed, PEDro, AMED och CINAHL med sökorden physical therapy modalities, stroke och gait, samt exercise therapy, stroke och gait. Sökresultatet blev 295 träffar. Av dessa var 54 studier relevanta för studien. Behandlingsmetoder som hittades var el-stimulering, hemträning, botoxinjektioner i kombination med el-stimulering, gång på löparmatta, avlastad gång på löparmatta, gång på löparmatta i kombination med el- stimulering, robotträning, funktionell träning riktad mot nedre extremitet och gångförmågan, balansträning och styrketräning.

The aim of the study was to explore the methods used in horticultural therapy gardens in rehabilitating people suffering from fatigue syndrome. Nine horticultural therapy gardens were contacted of wich three chose to participate. Using case study as method e-mail interviews was carried out with the participants about their establishment and what kind of theories they based their methods upon. The material collected from the interviews was complemented with additional data from the establishments web pages and information pamphlets. Collected data was processed trough content analysis and then formed as background for the development of a program theory for horticultural therapy.

The field of the social economy and of the work integration social enterprises (WISE) in particular, is for many a more or less unknown area. Unlike ordinary enterprises the WISE's are different due to their aim of integrating disadvantaged people through work. In comparison with other small enterprises earlier research has shown that the WISE's are dealing with challenges regarding recruitment, participation, leadership, sustainable business ideas but above all, the access to funding. The purpose of this essay has therefore been to examine and analyze the financial situation of eight WISE's located in the Stockholm County. The results indicate that half of the enterprises perceive their economic situation as very unstable and as an obstacle to their further development.
