Bakgrund: Att tillföra vätska och näring till en patient i livets slutskede minskar sällan symtom utan kan snarare tillföra ytterligare komplikationer. Studier visar att det trots detta tillförs vätska och näring till patienter i livets slutskede. Syfte: Att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av artificiell vätske- och näringstillförsel till patienter i livets slutskede. Metod: 10 kvalitativa empirska studier har i litteraturstudien sammanställts och analyserats. Författarna genomförde en systematisk artikelsökning i Cinahl, PubMed, Academic search elite och Medline.

This essay examines the environmental ideological direction of the Swedish parliamentary parties through the private members motions directed to the committee of industry and trade and the committee of environment and agriculture during the governmental time from 2002 to 2006.The environmental ideologies explained is anthropocentrism, ecocentrism and biocentrism. Based on the ideas of these three ideologies main points the private members motions directed to the committee of industry and trade and the committee of environment and agriculture, also matching the search words environment and energy, was compared and analysed.What has emerged is that all parliamentary parties express a desire to create an energy production and producing guide lines which are stringent environmentally and matches the safety requirements. Although the approach to environmental and safety standards differ significantly between them. Basically all Swedish parliamentary parties are more or less anthropocentric in its arguments, which in short terms means that they estimate natures and animals value through their usability for humans or based on their contribution to human feelings of wellbeing.The Centre Party and the Green Party shows hints of weak ecocentrism because in many cases they put animal intrinsic value high, but the human value higher. Moderates are predominantly anthropocentric but they also express some hint of biocentrism in one statement concerning research in order to reduce and rebuild environmentally destroyed areas.

Sveaverken is a company who manufactures products and equipment for the modern farm enterprise within grain, pork and horse businesses. A large share of Sveaverken's turnover depends on the role as a subcontractor for Delaval within the areas ventilation, manure handling and feeding systems. Sveaverken wants to investigate the possibility to increase sales by establishing new sales channels, for example e-commerce This thesis is an analysis of the Swedish farmers use of internet, attitudes towards e-commerce and Sveaverken's interest within this area. There is also a minor economic analysis of the cost of establishing the e-commerce site. The study focuses on farmers who are potential customers to Sveaverken within Sweden. To examine the farmers opinions about internet and e-commerce a questionnaire was developed and sent out in November 2006, to 500 farmers of which 45% answered. The results show that the average age of the farmers was 42,5 years.

Enligt rapporter från Arbetsmiljöverket är arbetsrelaterade besvär som inte beror på arbetsplatsolycka vanliga inom trädgårdsnäringen. Orsakerna till besvären är huvudsakligen en följd av påfrestande arbetsställningar, korta upprepade arbetsmoment och tung manuell hantering. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva vad trädgårdsmästare bör tänka på vad gäller belastningsergonomi för att minska risken för skador i sitt arbete. Sökningar gjordes i databaserna Medline via PubMed, ScienceDirect och Academic Search Elite med sökorden horticulture, gardening, agriculture, ergonomics, pruning, shoveling, stoop, lifting technique and musculoskeletal injuries.Resultatet visade att när det gäller lyftteknik och arbetsställningar bör man i möjligaste mån undvika att utföra dessa med en framåtböjd överkropp och raka ben. Denna kroppshållning visade sig vara sämre i jämförelse med andra tekniker och kroppspositioner med hänsyn taget till påfrestningsgraden av ländryggen.Även vid grävning finns per automatik ett starkt inslag av att luta sig fram med böjd överkropp med den följden att ryggen utsätts för krafter som kan vara skadliga.

The purpose of the thesis Masculinities ? Gender and its Impact on the Social conditions of individuals is to perform a critical study of how gendered norms influence the social conditions of individuals. This has been done by a problematization and the attempt to answer the question of how the hegemonical masculinity can be analyzed as a discourse, and how the structural aspects of this discourse inflict on the social conditions of masculinities.The question was divided into the analytical themes: the boarders of the discourse, the institutionalization of the discourse, the actuation of the discourse and the agents of the discourse. The theoretical frame is constituted by the theory of discourse by Michel Foucault, the theory of the hegemonical masculinity by R.W. Connell and a subversive identity theory by Judith Butler.

Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva hur patienter med cancer som får palliativ vård upplever sin livskvalitet fysiskt, psykiskt och socialt. Sökningar genomfördes i databaserna Medline, Academic Search Elite och Cinahl samt manuellt. Sökord som användes var quality of life, palliative care, palliative treatment, cancer, advanced cancer, hospital och home care. Detta resulterade i att nitton vetenskapliga artiklar valdes ut till studiens resultat. Resultatet visade att en obotlig cancersjukdom försämrade livskvaliteten hos patienterna.

Alien plants that have intentionally been introduced to an area for cultivation in public or private gardens constitute the primary pathway of introduction for invasive alien species that spread into nature. Garden owners want species that have satisfying characteristics, these characteristics are often also linked to plant invasiveness. Thus, the horticulture industry plays an important role by making scientifically based decisions and phasing out invasive plants and replacing them with alternative species with satisfying characteristics, but low risks of becoming invasive. This thesis aimed to examine the sale of and the attitudes towards alien plants in the horticulture industry in Sweden. Alien terrestrial plants identified to have a severe risk, high risk or potentially high risk of spreading and becoming invasive according to ArtDatabankens assessment, were examined to see if they were for sale.

Syfte: Att beskriva hur patienten upplevde den perioperativa dialogen och dess information.Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt. De vetenskapliga artiklarna söktes via databaserna Cinahl, Pubmed, Medline och Academic Search Elite. Uppsatsförfattarna valde ut 16 artiklar låg till grund för resultatet. Artiklarna bestod av både kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier. Artiklarnas kvalitet bedömdes utifrån granskningsmallar.Resultat: I studier kunde utläsas att patienterna hade goda upplevelser av den perioperativa dialogen.

The concept of school forest was drafted in 1970 by the Forest in School organization and is defined as an area occupied by a school for outdoor educational activity. The main purpose of this study was to examine how schools use the school forest in practice, how it can be linked to the forest as an ecosystem service and find out how the forest is taken into consideration in the spatial planning. The study is mainly qualitative in nature and has been based on interviews conducted with educators engaged in outdoor education at four selected schools in a municipality in Sweden. Focus has been on the cultural ecosystem services for school forest, for example the physical characteristics that are considered as positive, forest influence on students' physical / mental health and the educational benefits available to be in the woods. Search has also been made to see how the forest is taken into consideration in the spatial planning and also what a contract agreements involves.

The post-modern western city is going through two central changes in the organization of paid labour. One is the switch from production of goods to production of services, and the other is the increasing rift between well-paid labour with permanent jobs, and temporarily employed workers with low wages. Both of these processes are rasified and gendered, and strike harder against women, young persons and people of emigrant background. The flexible capitalism creates an informalization of the economy, breaking with earlier regulations of the labour markets, in which workers also need to find informal strategies in their individual and collective struggles. In this paper, I search for these ?new? experiences of living and working in late capitalist society, by doing open interviews with three women of Latin-American origin, working without official permission (without documents) in the informal economy of Stockholm.

Stroke drabbar årligen 25 000-30 000 personer i Sverige. För dem som insjuknar i stroke är dysfagi (sväljningssvårigheter) ett vanligt problem. Dysfagi kan bland annat leda till att patienten sväljer fel och blir undernärd och risk för hostattacker, aspiration och pneumoni kan uppstå som följd. Patienter med sväljningssvårigheter efter stroke kan också uppleva oro, rädsla, skam, lidande och orkeslöshet vid matsituationer. Forskning visar också att patienter upplever sig vara beroende av andra vid måltiderna.Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva patients upplevelser vid måltiden samt formulera omvårdnadsåtgärder som kan leda till förbättring i ätandet för patienter som drabbas av dysfagi efter stroke.Metoden är en litteraturstudie.

The study is aimed at investigating the Slovenian philosopher Slavoj ?i?eks theories ofthe ontology of the subject, the crisis of our modern society and his views on how theology,especially Christian theology, can provide the answer for the threats to our society.My main object is the article Descartes and the post-traumatic subject (2008)where ?i?ek elaborates thoughts about the subject and our capitalistic society. To be ableto grasp these thoughts in full I have undergone an investigation not only on the writingsof Slavoj ?i?ek, but also on the philosophers to whom he owe much of his theories,such as G.W.F. Hegel, Friedriech Schelling, Karl Marx and Jaques Lacan.In the study I have shown how the subject is, according to ?i?eks psychoanalytictheories, decentered.

This thesis has identified and studied measures to allow for reduced use of electricity in a waste incineration plant in western Sweden. The energy extracted from the waste at the powerplant is utilized and sold in form of electricity and heat. Technical and environmentally the combined heat and power plant is by today's standards among the leading waste incineration plants in the world. The owners are constantly striving to improve the efficiency of the waste incineration plant. They have seen the opportunities for savings in reducing internal usage of electricity.

Bakgrund: Diabetes är en alltmer vanligt förekommande sjukdom bland barn i Sverige. Behandlingen är livslång och syftar till att barnet skall leva ett så normalt liv som möjligt. Det är sjuksköterskans uppgift att stötta barnet genom sin sjukdom.   Syfte:  Syftet  med  denna  litteraturöversikt  är  att  skapa  en  överblick  av  befintlig  forskning inom  området  barn  och  ungdomar  i  skolåldern  med  typ  1  diabetes  (T1DM)  och  deras upplevelser  av  mötet  med  sjuksköterskan.  Speciellt  kommer  studien  att  fokusera  på  den vårdande relationen mellan barn och sjuksköterska. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes i vilket fjorton vetenskapliga artiklar inom liknande ämnesområde analyserades.

The study Packning i tid och rum (Crowding in Time and Space) is a Master Thesis in Human Geography within Geography, presented at Södertörn University College.The aim is to investigate the connections between time and space, more particularly, geographical changes over time. This is done by focusing on the Study of Land use as a phenomenon and on-going processes in demarcated areas. Distinct areas are given special interest, i.e. how they are used. The study deals with three different kinds of sites in three levels of scale: a market garden, cemeteries and a residential area.The main focus of the study is on the cemeteries.
