The exclusion of visually impaired from the information flow presented to us through signs was what led me into this project. With a growing amount of information being presented to us on signs and digital information surface the need of communicating this information in a way that could be read by visually impaired is evident. Looking into different ways of communication, my goal was to create something that filled the need of the visually impaired without branding them as disabled. Having a close relative with bad eyesight is became evident on how much it limited her in her everyday life, not being able to navigate herself without the support of her husband. Through interviews with her and others with varying diagnoses I reached an insight in their situation. To my surprise they still favored a visual form of communication before an auditory or tactile form, because it?s easy to survey and quick to interpret.

Autism är ett livslångt handikapp som ställer stora krav på familj, skola, sjukvård samt övriga personer som på olika sätt kommer i kontakt med dessa barn. Pedagoger och vårdare behöver medvetandegöras om sina föreställningar eftersom dessa styr bemötandet. Målet för behandlingen är målmedveten träning eftersom förmåga till social inlevelseförmåga mer eller mindre saknas hos såväl barn som vuxna med autism.Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa metoder som fanns för att främja utvecklingen av barn med autism, samt vilken påverkan dessa metoder hade på barn- vårdarrelationen.Litteraturstudien var en granskning och en sammanställning av ett specificerat forskningsområde/ämne. Resultatet visade på att vårdare som använt sig av specialpedagogik i hemmet upplevde att relationen till barnen förbättrades. Genom att familjerna erbjöds undervisning om olika metoder för specialpedagogik påverkades barnen med autism på olika positiva sätt.

The domesticated rabbit stems from the European Wild rabbit and researchers have found that they share most of the characteristics and behaviors of their wild ancestor. They form mating groups in which strong hierarchic orders are formed and they are known for their ability to dig warrens which serve as one of the most important resources for this species. Although research has been performed to increase the welfare of rabbits kept in laboratory settings little is known about the housing, behavior and welfare of the pet rabbit. Among the research that has been performed within the area results have shown that the animals are kept in small solitary cages and that although many rabbits are purchased mainly for the children many animals cannot be handled by children due to display of aggression. Another conclusion drawn is that the animals are kept in ways that differs greatly from their natural environment.

Studiens syfte har varit att öka kunskapen och förståelsen för sexuella övergrepp mot kvinnor, så som den beskrivs i ett urval av forskningslitteraturen. Frågan som har varit i fokus är: Hur diskuteras våldtäkt och sexuella övergrepp i forskningslitteraturen, ur ett teoretiskt och behandlingsmässigt avseende? Studien har utförts i form av en kunskapsöversikt och bygger på ett urval av svenskspråkig samt internationell forskningslitteratur. Huvudinriktningen har varit att med feministisk och psykodynamisk teori som analysverktyg, diskutera sexuella övergrepp utifrån betydelsen av förövarens identitet och bakgrund, aktuella normer, föreställningar och värderingar i samhället kring förväntningar på förövare och offer. Vidare har sexuella övergrepp granskats ur en juridisk aspekt.

The purpose of this study is to acquire knowledge about how interaction, participation and inclusion are affected by individual integration for three students in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities. To be individually integrated means, in this case, that the students from compulsory school for children with learning disabilities are taking part in some of the programme-specific courses together with students from the regular upper secondary school. This study gets its inspiration from the ethnographic research approach, and uses passive observations together with interviews with students and their guardians as main methods to collect information.The school in question has not made any adjustments to make the programme-specific courses more adapted to the different needs, which is typical of integration. This study shows that the school presumes that the students with the help from the vocational teacher, but without any special needs educational help, themselves are to adapt to the conditions at the regular upper secondary school. This, together with the lack of special needs educational competence among the vocational teachers, led to a higher level of exclusion and an enhanced feeling of not being up to standard among the integrated students.The results also show that the integrated students maintain a strong wish to be included with the students attending the regular upper secondary school.

Today there is a research project undertaken by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences along with Wången (a highschool specialized in trotter training), which focuses on trotting horse training, performance and health. The project investigates how exercise intensity and feeding strategies affect the development of growing horses. The project includes two groups of horses where all 16 horses are fed in the same way. One group of eight individuals are trained 100% compared to conventional training and the other group are trained 20% less than the other group. All horses are trained twice a week and are out at pasture beyond that.

Det ställs stora krav på den militära organisationen vid genomförandet av en amfibieoperation. Denna uppgift är något som den svenska försvarsmaktens amfibiekår ej har förmåga till att lösa ut inom ramen för vår organisation. I framtiden ställs det krav på att den svenska amfibiekåren skall kunna vara delaktig i en multinationell expeditionär landstigningsstyrka. Sverige saknar dock doktriner och en militärteoretisk grund för amfibieoperationer. För att tillhandahålla en sådan teoretisk grund avser författaren att använda sig av den brittiska militärteorin för vad en amfibieoperation kräver.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva och förstå den så kallade lilla gruppens funktion i en skola för alla. Detta utifrån de förhållningssätt och synsätt som finns i samhället utifrån olika perspektiv på en skola för alla. Skolans styrdokument strävar mot en integrerad skola där alla elever skall kunna gå tillsammans, samtidigt som varje elev skall få utvecklas och lära efter sin egen förmåga. Detta kräver stora kunskaper hos lärarna som ska kunna bedriva en undervisning som passar alla elever. Det finns dock tecken som visar på brister i kompetensen hos lärare och även i lärarutbildningen.

Recently, there have been intense discussions about the humanities and their role in society. Internationally, as well as in a Swedish context, the humanities have been regarded to be in a state of crisis. However, these discussions usually demonstrate a lack of historical perspectives based on thorough empirical research. The notion of a crisis needs to be historicized.In this study, a case is being examined where the relationship between science and society was renegotiated. In the context of World War II, a discourse has been identified in a borderland between science and politics through an analysis of Swedish journals and anthologies during the time period 1937-1947.

In this essay, I will look at three different Compulsory comprehensive schools in one community and I will compare final grades from students who graduated in spring 2006. I will also examine how the three schools work with students, and in what way they approach students with dyslexia/reading- and writing difficulties, so that they could reach goals set by The Swedish National Agency for Education. The aim with this essay is to show differences between schools in the same community and my question is if it is the way you approach students with dyslexia/reading- and writing difficulties that affects the student?s grades and results.The study is concentrating on three schools in one community and students with dyslexia and reading- and writing difficulties that went to those schools. I have spoken to remedial teacher at each school about how they approach students with dyslexia/reading- and writing difficulties, what kind of methods the use, how they investigate if a student is in need of special help and how they grade their students who are in need of special teaching because of their learning disabilities.

Det huvudsakliga syftet med min studie har varit att undersöka hur några pedagoger tolkar begreppet inkludering samt hur detta begrepp kan komma till uttryck i deras arbete. Data har samlats in genom fokusintervjuer med sex pedagoger från två arbetslag på en F-5 skola i Stockholm. Frågeställningen har handlat om pedagogernas syn på inkludering, vilka tankar de hade kring inkluderande undervisning samt vilka eventuella svårigheter de såg med att arbeta inkluderande. Det framkom genom studien att det rådde delade meningar mellan informanterna om vad ett inkluderande arbetssätt var. Det ena arbetslaget hävdade att det innebar att alla elever skulle befinna sig i klassrummet för att känna sig inkluderade medans det andra arbetslaget menade att det handlade om att eleven skulle känna att den var en del av sammanhanget, oavsett var den befann sig någonstans.

Sammanfattning Mitt examensarbete behandlar konflikthanteringsmetoden ART (Aggression Replacement Training) och hur denna fungerar i en klass i årskurs 6 på en skola i Skåne. ART är en konflikthanteringsmetod som använder sig av tre olika komponenter. Dessa består av social färdighetsträning, ilskekontrollträning och moralträning. Syftet med arbetet är att ta reda på vilka förutsättningar som krävs för att konflikt-hanteringsmetoden ART ska fungera i en klass i åk 6. Min intention är också att redogöra för vilka eventuella resultat som pedagogerna och eleverna i berörd klass kan se under arbetet med ART.

This study investigated the effects of rubber alley flooring on cow locomotion, claw and leg health, production, cleanliness, grooming behaviour and cow exclusion rate in a free stall herd. The study was conducted in a new dairy house with a rotary milking system, with a matched group of cows on traditional scraped concrete alleys used for comparison. All claws were trimmed and lesions recorded at the beginning and end of the 4-month study. The aim of this paper is to shed some light on to what extent the process of making reality of Inclusion, as stated in International Declarations and in Government policies, has reached the actual educational activities in the school system. My chosen method is a case study, in which I have combined a survey with interviews in order to retrieve enough data for my analysis. I have also studied a number of policy documents and relevant literature. My analysis concludes, for the school that I have chosen to study, that there is still a lot to be done before inclusion becomes a reality. There are many obstacles to overcome, for instance; a constant struggle to obtain enough resources and to reach relevant levels of competence within the personnel.
