The target group of the study was employees (eleven), their managers (seven) as well as co-ordinators (two) of a maintenance department at a nuclear power plant. The training program lasted from December 2009 to May 2010. The study was in progress as of September 2009 when a decision was made at the maintenance department?s training board to carry out the evaluation.

Outdoor advertising is not very often discussed within city planning even though the commercial messages occupy much of public space. The advertising signs affects not only the physical environment but also social life. In this report I would like to acknowledge and question the presence of advertising in our Everyday environment. Outdoor advertising is not a new phenomena, technical progress however, results constantly in new expansions in the environment. Today advertising occurs in all sorts of shapes in the cities, both as free standing signs and as signs attached to facades, incorporated in city furniture such as bus shelters and on vehicles moving along the city streets. Grouping advertising into two categories; local and national, reveals that the different categories have different impact on public space.

More and more preschools are choosing to reduce the sugar consumption. The reason is, inter alia, the increase of weight in the community, but there is also research showing that sugar is harmful to children. The discussions on sugar and children are also a hot media topic.I have chosen to use a qualitative method, interviews, to gather material for the essay. I have interviewed a teacher and a cook in three different preschools, in different municipalities. I have also looked at their various nutrition policies to see how the guidelines for their work on diet and health look like.

Denna uppsats handlade om att genom en textanalys studera hur två hälsotidskrifter, Hälsa och Må Bra, framställde ämnet kost och hälsa. Hälsoupplysningen började under 1700-talet, med skrifter och utvecklades därefter till ett allt större forum i takt med samhällsutvecklingen. I dagsläget kunde jag identifiera flertalet sätt där hälsoupplysning förekom som tex. via TV, internet, massmedia, reklamannonser, apotek, hälsokostaffärer, dagstidningar, tidskrifter, etc. Av detta urval valde jag att genom en textanalys, samt genom att hämta inspiration av några analysredskap, som metaforer, intertextualitet samt modalitet, studera hur tidskrifterna genom sina artiklar valde att framställa kost och hälsa.

In Sweden there are laws and recommendations from The National Board of Health and Welfare about the importance of a user's involvement in and possibility of influencing services directed at them. Even with such good intentions the same board reports that it is hard to know if people experience that they do. The purpose of my study was to examine how professionals can use their knowledge to help users increase their sense of influence in services that they use. My focus has been on adults with neuropsychiatric disabilities within the autistic spectra, such as Asperger syndrome, and on the professionals working with them. The specific problem among people with neuropsychiatric disabilities is a lack of social skills.

The purpose of this study was to investigate what knowledge 16 year old highschool students have when it comes to text- and imageposting on social media and how they act on the basis of their skills and attitudes on text and image publishing. An important aspect of this was to investigate the impact of young people 's identity in relation to text- and image posting on social media as this according to research is a big part of what motivates young people in their Everyday practices (Buckingham, 2008). The essay questions was , What is young people?s experience on posting text- and image on social media? How aware are young people at the pros and cons on posting text and images on social media? What are young people's attitudes about text and image posting? And how do young people act on the basis of experience , awareness and attitude? Which role plays identity in their actions? To seek answers to my questions and achieve the aim of the thesis was conducted three semi-structured focusgroup interviews in collaboration with two high schools. The results have been reported, interpreted and analyzed by pattern-seeking. The theoretical framework used in this paper is the research and theories of primarily media researchers who have distinguished themselves in the Media and Youth research, For example, Ulla Carlsson, David Buckingham, Sonia Livingstone and Kristen Drotner.

The purpose of this thesis is to show how a good approach can be designed, focusing on the southern approach to the Swedish town Vilhelmina. Prior to the car being part of Everyday life, the approach was a road where the town showed itself from the very best side. When the amount of traffic increased, so did noise and other disturbances, and as a consequence industrial areas replaced the residential buildnings at the approaches. Today, the pendulum is turning back and in recent years the approach is regarded as a place to introduce the town. The approach is also the place where cars should slow down from the speed of the main road to the speed of the city.

Från kunskapens öar till den ömsesidiga insiktens fastland Ett pedagogiskt utvecklingsarbete för en personalutbildning med förankring i praktiken Anne Johansson Olsson Sammanfattning Denna uppsats redovisar ett utvecklingsarbete kring utformandet av en så kallad arbetsplatsanpassad utbildning. Arbetet bedrevs i samverkan mellan Transkulturellt Centrum (TC) i Stockholms Läns Landsting och Lina Hage samt Wasa vårdcentraler i Södertälje. Projektet syftade till att via inledande arbete, inventering av utbildningsbehov, utbildningsplanering, genomförande och utvärdering skapa en modell för en utbildning med fokus på vårdpersonalens möte med patienter som har erfarenhet av migration. Vårdcentralerna stod i början av 2007, i begrepp att inleda ett arbete med en delvis ny patientgrupp, asylsökande och nyanlända flyktingar samt anhöriginvandrare. Arbetet innebar ett förbättrat och utvidgat mottagande med erbjudande om hälsosamtal och till de asylsökande även en primärvård som motsvarade den övriga befolkningens.

In the middle of the 19th century came an opposite reaction against the hospitals? treatment of their patients and a more human way was requested. A link between crowded housing, bad hygien and other bad conditions had been noticed and nature was considered to be healthy. Hospitals and sanatiories moved closer to nature due to influences from England, USA and Germany, and cities began building public parks. Employment was seen as calming and healthy for the patients.

Det här är ett examensarbete på 30 hp utfört vidinstitutionen för stad och land, SLU Ultuna. Bakgrundentill arbetet kommer sig av att allt fler människor idagbor i tätorter (Boverket 2011a; WHO 2008a) samtidigtsom antalet personer med oro, ångest och stress ökar(Socialdepartementet, 2002). Enligt WHO (2008b)förväntas mental ohälsa vara en av de största orsakernatill sjukdom i hela världen år 2020, oavsett kön ochålder. När städer växer sker det ofta på bekostnadav den urbana naturen (Borgström 2011) och deekonomiska och ekologiska aspekterna väger oftatyngre än de sociala i stadsbyggnadssammanhangoch i hållbarhetsdiskussioner (Granvik 2011).Syftet med arbetet är därför att diskutera sambandenmellan fysisk miljö, mental hälsa och stress. Syftet ärockså att belysa vikten av dels de sociala aspekternai ett hållbart stadsbyggande, dels vikten av grönamiljöer i staden som platser för återhämtning samt attvisa hur en verklig plats kan utformas för att bidra tillåterhämtning.
