Corporate Social Responsibility (?CSR?), även på svenska kallad företagens samhällsansvar, har under de senaste åren fått en allt mer betydelsefull roll i företag. Det är av intresse att studera hur olika företag ser på och använder sig av CSR, då CSR står för hur ett företag tar sitt ansvar jämtemot sina intressenter. Detta ansvar kan vara socialt lika väl som miljömässigt. Syftet med denna rapport var att analysera och undersöka vilken påverkan Sony Mobile Communications CSR initiativ GreenHeartTM hade på koldioxidutsläppen i en livscykel av deras produkter.

The following study explores the relation between psychosocial work environment and individual health. The purpose is to examine how female employees in the occupational health sector experience their own psychosocial work environment, focusing on different influencing factors in both the workplace and their private life regarding the employees own health. The study applies a hermeneutic approach in which qualitative interviews constitute the empirical data. Previous research on this particular subject has focused on the following themes: the combination of work-family life, demand/control model and flexibility in the workplace in relation to health and stress. The theoretical framework used in this study integrates relevant concepts, specifically SOC, poor leadership and flexibility.

Identity includes an individual´s self-image and the consciousness about their self. It is about being the same person despite changes in their life situation. The identity often get´s fragile because of the disease. Beacuse of the individual´s feeling of lost identity there may arise a conflict between the person and people in his or her surroundings. They may no longer see the sick person in the same way as they used to.

Today?s wind power plants are only compensated for their reactive power consumption at no-load. As the wind power plants grow bigger the amount of reactive power they need also increases. This is no longer a problem that can be ignored, especially as the net owners are beginning to charge the reactive power they transport.In this thesis a couple of different methods of compensation and their prices will be discussed and evaluated. Problems, such as self-excitation, that can occur if one fully compensates the wind power plant will also be brought to surface.

Föreliggande rapport syftar till att utreda om det är ekonomiskt möjligt och miljömässigt intressant att införa ett retursystem för lastbärare till arkade produkter hos MoDo Paper Silverdalen. Bakgrunden är att MoDo Paper Silverdalen vill minska skadefrekvensen och öka staplingsbarheten under transport, genom att införa ett returemballage. Ett retursystem skulle också gynna företagets miljöframtoning.Genom studiebesök och intervjuer på Silverdalsbruket, hos grossister och tryckerier har vi funnit att skadefrekvensen för Silverdalsbrukets produkter är låg och inte uppfattas som något allvarligt problem i något av dessa led.De vanligaste skadorna är:? Ett mindre antal skadade ark i stapelns topp och botten, beroende på frakt och emballeringsmetod.? Små hål i krympfilmen, orsakade av omild hantering.? En eller flera av pallens medar har lossnat eller vikt sig under palldäcket, vilket medför ökade hanteringskostnader.? Förskjuten eller havererad arkstapel, p.g.a. problem med pallens medar eller att godset utsatts för en kraftig stöt, som orsakar ökade hanteringskostnader eller kassation.Skadeeffekterna kan ofta minskas genom omstapling eller genom att skära ner arken i storlek.

SSAB Tunnplåt AB i Borlänge arbetar aktivt med att förebygga olyckor och som en del i detta arbete utförs riskinventeringar och riskanalyser över företagets olika processer. Denna rapport syftar till att identifiera risker som uppkommer i samband med transport och lossning av saltsyra inom SSAB Tunnplåt AB´s område. Förslag till säkerhetshöjande åtgärder för de risker som är utmärkande ska även tas fram. Saltsyrahanteringen inom SSAB Tunnplåt AB i Borlänge har studerats och möjliga skadehändelser har identifierats. Sannolikhets- och konsekvensbedömningar för dessa har skattats, varefter en riskbedömning har presenterats i form av en riskmatris.

Stress is part of everyday life and in the working conditions of the social services in Sweden. Thus each and every person has resources and strategies to cope with those stressors that construct the assumption of stress. The aim of this study was to understand how persons in leading positions of the LSS of Social Services in Kalmar experience and cope with stressors in their leadership and organization and to investigate what factors during working and non-working hours promote health. Influenced by the theoretical approach of Aaron Antonovsky´s Sense of Coherence seven qualitative interviews were conducted with persons in leading positions. They were asked about stressors, coping strategies, resources and health promoting factors that help to cope with stressors.

In order to get a better understanding of the interaction between employees and their technical work tools one needs to know what factors influence the interaction. The purpose of this study was to examine if there is a correlation between the personality traits Extraversion (E) and Neuroticism (N), tested with Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI), and experience of the new Intranet among employees at The Swedish National Transport Administration (SNTA), and also to gather information of employees? opinions about the new Intranet. A survey, containing questions about the Intranet and a personality test (EPI), was posted on SNTA?s Intranet for eight workdays (N = 88, females = 53, males = 35).

Föreliggande arbete har utförts på Flygfrakt AB som ligger vid Landvetters flygplats någramil öster om Göteborg. Företaget är ett av Sveriges största enskilda transportföretag.Uppgiften som tilldelades var att göra en kostnadskalkyl angående transporten Flygfrakt utförför Ericsson i Borås som innefattar transport av telekomutrustning från Ericssons lager tillHuddinge.Syftet med arbetet förutom att göra en kostnadskalkyl är att se över vad som kan göras för attreducera kostnader för den aktuella rutten. Kalkylen kan också bli en standardrutin för hurkostnadskalkylering för andra åtagande av godstransporter.Inledningsvis genomfördes en litteraturstudie i det aktuella ämnet för att få en bred bas somunderlag. Vidare intervjuades VD: n för Flygfrakt AB angående det aktuellatransportuppdraget och dess kostnader. För att få kompletterande information gjordes ävenintervjuer med administrativ personal och förare.Efter analysen framkom förbättringsförslag som skulle reducera kostnader.

The breakdown of the ratification process of the EU constitution was in Sweden blamed on a lack of a debate concerning European issues. The constitution can be seen as the best and latest, but in no way the only, example of this problem. The breakdown can also been seen as proof of a larger legitimacy crises within the EU. The aim of the study is to determine whether or not there really was of lack of debate concerning the constitution in Sweden. This question is theoretic¬ally connected to EU legitimacy through Habermas idea of a public sphere.

?Facebook has become as natural as having a phone? The use of social media in three libraries in the Umeå region ? an evaluationSocial media has come to be an integral part of people?s everyday life, as well as the business world in terms of communication and marketing. More and more libraries also embark in the use of social media, and the purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of social media in three libraries in the Umeå region. The libraries all use Facebook as their current, primary social media. Thus this study focuses partly on the analysis of the content on each library?s Facebook page, and partly on the experiences of the responsible librarians. The evaluation is based on a mix of existing tools in evaluating social media that are relevant in a library context.

Introduction: Elderly people have much to gain when it comes to physical activity andresistance training. Ageing is a process that every human being has to go through. The mostimportant physical attributes changes, when it comes to handle everyday life and ailment thatusually occurs in the later stages of life. Physical activity and resistance training may help thecommon problem among the elderly, when it comes to cope with issues of pain and strenuouseveryday life that occurs under this ailment. Objective: To identify a senior citizen´sperception about physical activity and attitudes about resistance training.

Upplands Väsby municipality has a vision that podcars in the future will become an effective alternative in public transport, with reduced car-dependency as a result. The system would also attract new inhabitants and businesses to the municipality.This report deals with various issues that podcar stations may face. Also, suggestions for possible track laying at the stations and station design are presented. Two areas are investigated. Eds allé which is a neighborhood that is planned for housing and where the station may be planned into the cityscape from the start.

Pupils learn in different ways. It?s up to the teachers´ to give pupils the knowledge they need to live and work in society. The teacher should be aware of the ways of children learn in the classroom and should teach accordingly. Pupils work individually but should even be offered some kind of group work regularly.
