EMDR, eye movement desentization and reprocessing, är en evidensbaserad psykoterapeutisk metod för behandling av bl. a trauma.Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka effekten av EMDR-behandling på patienter hos S:t Lukas.Frågeställningar: Hur skattar S:t Lukas patienter Posttraumatisk stress disorder (PTSD)-kriterierna återupplevande, undvikande och överspändhet, före och efter EMDR-behandling? Finns det utifrån bakgrundsvariablerna kön, ålder, typ av trauma, tidigare trauma samt antal behandlingstillfällen några skillnader i personernas skattningar före respektive efter behandlingen?Metod: I denna kvantitativa studie undersöktes 21 kvinnor och 9 män före och efter EMDR behandling. Självskattningsformuläret Impact of Event Scale-Revised, IES-R användes, vilket mäter PTSD-kriterierna återupplevande, undvikande och överspändhet.Resultat och diskussion: Resultaten från studien visar statistiskt signifikant symtomminskning i återupplevande, undvikande och överspändhet. Ingen av patienterna gav indikation på PTSD efter EMDR-behandlingen.

Social media is a relatively new phenomenon that has had a huge impact in the way we communicate in recent years. Today it is used daily by almost everyone and has become a billion dollar industry where corporate existence is increasing by every day. But there is not entirely safe to work with social media since customers and visitors can make comments and investigate what others are writing about the brand and form their own opinion. The purpose of this study is to explain the potential advantages and disadvantages for organizations in vulnerable industries with a focus on insurance companies who works with Facebook. The paper takes its starting point in the convergence culture that explains a cultural shift where consumers are encouraged to search for new information and combine content from different media.

For the Swedish artist Björn Lövin, the personal was a problem. This leads to an opportunity for about 70 % of the joint-stock companies to choose whether or not to keep their auditors. Creditors are affected by this as they may receive a less trustworthy base to make a good credit review if many companies choose to proceed their accountings without the control of an auditor. Creditors have the option to require that companies are to be reviewed by auditors, while authorized accounting consultants may be a possible substitute as a quality control for the accountings.Purpose:The purpose of this thesis is to examine what impact optional audit has had in credit processes so far and look into alternative forms of reviews for businesses.Problem definition:? Uranium (U) is a naturally occurring component in bedrock and under the "right" conditions it can dissolve and move into the ground water. Since many people in Sweden depend on drilled wells as their main drinking water supply, they may be exposed to the uranium in the water. Radioactive radiation is not the major concern associated with naturally occurring uranium. It is rather the chemical properties of uranium that make it a potential danger to human health. Uranium is proven to have toxic effects with respect to the functioning of the kidneys.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues have been received much attention in businessand management practises globally. Jensen & Yeh (2009, 3) state that ?The agenda ofCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as a factor in the process of globalization,and Chinese companies may sometimes feel pushed into this agenda without a clearunderstanding of the rationale behind it?. VSEM project and the need for a more efficient way of handling requirements andinformation are highly apparent.The overall objective of this thesis is divided into two parts:1. To identify criteria/factors leading to a successful introduction of an informationmanagement system.2. To develop an implementation process for a requirement management system ?the first step towards a PLM system in EE development at VCC.This will be done through interviews with employees, a literature review and an analysisof studies of three earlier projects within VCC.The conclusion of this study shows the great need for change in work methods fordesigners handling information and requirements. An implementation process has beenidentified with guidelines on how to handle different phases of the process.

The project of this thesis is to illuminate the teacher perspective on study visits by examining how six religion teachers relate to the study visit method in high school religious education. The research object of the thesis is to investigate whether teachers believe there are viable didactic possibilities and challenges associated with the study visit concept in education, and to define them if present. The results show that the main didactic advantage, as perceived by the teachers participating in this study, lies in the meeting the study visit enables. A meeting may lead to increased insight and understanding of other people?s way of thinking, conceiving and believing.

INLEDNINGIntensivvårdsmiljön är en komplex och avancerad miljö där svårt sjuka patienter vårdas. Det är även denna patientgrupp som har störst risk att drabbas av en vårdskada, både pga. sitt tillstånd och för att de utsätts för avancerad vård och behandling i en högteknologisk miljö. I Kompetensbeskrivningen för intensivvårdssjuksköterskor påpekas att då miljön blir mera teknisk och avancerad krävs aktivt arbete för att uppnå patientsäkerhet. Socialstyrelsens statistik avseende vårdskador inom den somatiska hälso- och sjukvården visar att vårdskador är vanligt förekommande.

Anomalies, such as the index effect, indicate weaknesses in this theory as it has been proved that it is possible to outperform the market using public information. Hence, the index effect can be linked to market efficiency which makes it interesting to study from a theoretical perspective. The mapping of the index effect is also interesting from a practical perspective, as it leads to a better understanding of whether investors and firms should take this anomaly into account.Problem: Is there an index effect, how does it behave and what can explain this effect?Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the index effect.

Under sex månader våren 2007 har ett samarbete mellan Volvo Lastvagnar och två studenter från KTH, inriktning Integrerad produktutveckling vid institutionen för maskinkonstruktion, pågått i form av ett examensarbete på 20 poäng.Dagens AC-system i Volvos lastbilar avger 20-40 g/år av köldmediet R134a som är en kraftfull växthusgas. Detta sker främst genom diffusion via slangar och tätningsmaterial. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ta fram förslag på tekniska lösningar på ett nytt AC-system. Eventuella idéer från befintliga värmepumpar och kylsystem skall studeras för att minska eller eliminera utsläppen helt. Fokus har lagts på själva köldmediekretsen och de ingående komponenterna för att därigenom ta fram koncept där systemet är så kompakt och lätt som möjligt.Arbetet delades upp i fyra olika faser: Förstudie, konceptstudie, utvecklingsfas och rapportfas.

Inledning: Ett företag som sponsrar en känd person förknippas starkt med denna. Tidigare forskning har visat att det finns en positiv påverkan på aktiepriset och avkastningen hos företag som tecknar sponsringsavtal med kända personer.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att med hjälp av eventstudiemetoden undersöka huruvida tio oväntade händelser relaterade till tre idrottare påverkat aktievärdet för Nike Inc.Teori: Den effektiva marknadshypotesen bygger på antagandet att finansiella marknader är effektiva och att all information finns tillgänglig vilket i sin tur exakt återspeglas i priset på en tillgång. Det finns empiriska belägg för att marknaden inte alltid kan sägas vara effektiv som effektiva marknadshypotesen hävdar, något som teoretiskt kallas för anomali.Metod: Denna studie antar ett deduktivt angreppssätt och har en kvantitativ inriktning. Eventstudiemetoden används för att mäta den tänkbara effekt som en oväntad händelse har på företagets värde. Aktieprisförändringen undersöks genom den kumulativa onormala avkastningen (CAR) och hypotesprövningar görs för att nå en slutsats på syftet och problemformulering.Slutsats: Vi har utfört undersökningen i enlighet med eventstudiemetoden och kommit fram till att 9 av 10 oväntade händelser påverkar aktievärdet för Nike Inc.

Forestry and reindeer husbandry are entitled to use the same land for their operations. For this reason, conflicts occasionally arise between them. Soil scarification is a forestry operation which has a negative effect on the occurrence of reindeer lichen. Reindeer lichens are of crucial importance to reindeers and reindeer husbandry, especially in the winter when reindeers primarily feed on different lichen species (Cladina spp. and Cetraria spp.).

On a request from the water sewage plant Gryaab in Gothenburg a power quality survey was performed. The voltages and currents have continuously been sampled in the incoming 10 kV substation HSP01 from April-August 2008. Power quality measurements were also performed in Gryaabs other 10 kV substation HSP04 fed from HSP01 and at the terminals of the induction motor IN_PU4040 of 1.3 MW which controls one of the four large inflow pumps to the plant. The reason for the latter measurement was due to registered negative transients each time the motor was connected to the grid. The cause of the transients could be explained by the coupling in the substation, the ageing of the motor which could result in damage of the bearings or resonance in the motor circuit which amplifies high frequency harmonics.
