This paper examines if trading suspensions on Nasdaq OMX Nordic - Stockholm work as a contributing factor in creating a secure trading. This has been made through an event study and examination of abnormal returns. Our results for plus tick suspensions indicate that suspensions fulfill their purpose in creating a more secure trading since the trend of abnormal return we observe prior to a suspension is disrupted. Thus, the suspension is warranted. The conclusion is that the market cannot be completely safe; as the law and practice is structured today an abnormal return is inevitable.

Marknadsaktiviteter vid produktlansering är ett samarbete med Haglöfs Scandinavia AB. Våren 2010 utfördes ett samarbetade med Haglöfs då ett underlag för utökat produktsortiment inom konfektion togs fram. På uppdrag av Haglöfs ska ett förslag framställas på hur en lansering ska kunna se ut om juniorkollektionen introduceras på den svenska marknaden. Hur fungerar det med produktlanseringens strategiska och taktiska lanseringsbeslut och vilka marknadsföringskanaler är lämpliga vid en produktlansering inom outdoorbranschen.Rapporten behandlar hur dagens företag inom outdoorbranschen i Sverige fullgör sina marknadsaktiviteter vid en produktlansering. Strategiska och taktiska lanseringsbeslut illustreras samt utvalda marknadsföringskanaler skildras.En lanseringsstrategi beskriver de marknadsföringsbeslut som är nödvändiga för att presentera en ny produkt till respektive målgrupp och börja generera en inkomst i form av försäljning av den nya produkten.

Att bedöma och betygssätta företags kreditvärdighet är en stor och vinstbringande marknad. Ett företags kreditbetyg har visat sig ha stort inflytande när t ex lånevillkor behandlas. Detta ställer höga krav på kreditvärderingsföretagens förmåga att leverera korrekta analyser. Såväl långivare som investerare reagerar på ett ändrat kreditbetyg, vilket ger direkta effekter på det företag som betygssätts. Kreditvärderingsföretagen har kritiserats bland annat för att inte svara tillräckligt snabbt på ny information.

This master thesis studies distributed navigation which isa function implemented in a future network based combat information system to improve the accuracy in navigation for combat vehicles in a mechanized battalion, above all in the event of loss of GPS. In the event of loss of the GPS the vehicles obtain dead reckoning performance through the backup system that consists of an odometer and a magnetic compass. Dead reckoning means a drift in the position that makes the accuracy in the navigation worse. The distributed navigation function uses position and navigation data with measurements between the vehicles to estimate the errors and uncertainties in positions, which are used to improve the accuracy in position for the vehicles. To investigate and demonstrate distributed navigation, a simulation environment has been produced in Matlab.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om ett eventföretag skulle kunna arbeta utifrån marknadsföringsprojektet Stockholmsstrategin. Utifrån teorier om evenemang och strategier och med hjälp av teorier om image, värdskap, mötesindustrin samt konsulten, ämnar vi analysera och problematisera ovan nämnda eventföretag och Stockholmsstrategin. Metoderna som har använts för att få en bild av dessa två företag är kvalitativa strukturerade intervjuer med öppna frågor och platsbaserade, aktivitetsbaserade och öppna observationer av event som vart och ett av företagen har anordnat. Vid insamlandet av empiri rörande Stockholmsstrategin användes själva dokumentet Stockholmsstrategin samt en kvalitativ strukturerad intervju med projektledaren för projektet. Även vid denna intervju användes öppna frågor.

This paper aims to investigate whether a small organization with small development teams can find a value in leaving a functioning development process to follow a formal systems development methodology, if these organizations can find support in an agile systems development method and in such case the method needs to be adjusted according to the organizations unique conditions.A traditional plan-driven system development methodology includes a number of phases that are carried out sequentially and a completed phase can basically not be resumed. All requirements are specified at the beginning of a project and at the end of the project only one delivery of software take place. This can cause difficulties in for example dealing with changing requirements. Agile system development methods intend to deal with changing requirements and to enable continuous delivery of valuable, working software.In this paper, both the traditional plan-driven methods and agile methods will be explained. Research methodology and existing system development theories will be discussed and a company where the study has been conducted will be presented.

The purpose of this master thesis is to map and analyze the appropriate valuation approaches used for Intellectual Property rights and develope a model for valuing patents. This project has been executed on behalf of Electrolux?s Group Intellectual Property and is intended to be used for managerial purposes.Project limitations include patents that doesent concern technology oriented products and services, real option methods, financial forecasts, decisions concerning patents taken by the R&D division, patent applications in general and taking into account unexpected future management decisions regarding patents.Electrolux?s Intellextual Property team applies, manages and protects the groups Intellectual Property rights including patents, designs and trademarks. With an increased globalization and the rise of emerging markets, incentives have increased further to protect and safeguard the group?s innovations.Mainly there are three different valuations approaches for valuing intellectual property rights, these include the income based approach, cost base approach and market based approach.

Bakgrund: Det primära syftet med ett kreditbetyg är att tillhandahålla information till kreditgivare och investerare angående ett företags återbetalningsförmåga. Kreditbetyget baseras både på publik och privat information och bör därför vid publicering påverka priserna på både kreditmarknaden samt aktiemarknaden under förutsättning att dessa är semieffektiva marknader.Syfte: Syftet är att studera hur aktiekurserna för samtliga företag på Stockholmsbörsen, som erhåller kreditbetyg från S&P, påverkas vid en förändring av företagets kreditbetyg samt outlook.Genomförande: Uppsatsens syfte besvaras genom att undersöka aktieavkastningen i samband med publiceringen av ett förändrat kreditbetyg. Vi har använt oss utav en event study för att isolera och testa eventuell abnorm avkastning.Slutsatser: Av de totala antal tester som vi har utfört finner vi att endast en bråkdel av dessa är signifikanta på 10 % eller lägre. För att med säkerhet fastställa att ett förändrat kreditbetyg påverkar aktieavkastning hade en signifikant abnorm avkastning på 1 % nivå önskats för en majoritet av testerna. Således finner vi inte några starka bevis för att en förändring av kreditbetyg påverkar aktiekurser på den svenska marknaden.

In this thesis the survival and development of a yearly recurring event will be examined. The purpose of this work is to examine how the festival Stockholm Pride has developed and to find out what underlying factors and conditions that lays behind the development. Also being examined is how the event affects Stockholm city?s tourism industry. To be able to fulfill the purpose of the thesis a qualitative research has been used and two persons with allot of knowledge about Stockholm Pride and Stockholm?s tourism industry has been interviewed.

Understory vegetation and fungi are regarded as important ecological drivers of processes like productivity and nutrient cycling in boreal forests. Whilst those processes are linked to soil water content, relatively little is known about the sources of soil water for these forest components. During early autumn in boreal forests, temperature falls and large events of rain are frequent which may influence soil water availability. To better understand the autumn plant-soil-fungi water relationships in this ecosystem, I used stable isotopes techniques in this study to examine the water sources for ericaceous shrubs and fungi in a Scots pine forest following a large, early autumn rain event. This thesis will explore how swedish Talang 2010 used their strategic communication in Kalmar and Stockholm and how the effect of this work was shown in the two cities. With a focus on how the sender was working with the external communication in the two cities, the heart of the research was studying Talang 2010?s communication strategy in these two contexts. The research was made with surveys during two audition days in Kalmar and two days in Stockholm. The competitors, the audience and the general public were answering different surveys but with the same base to study the effect.

What happens when ideas and attitudes in the public sector towards culture driven businesses meets the perspective of individual cultural entrepreneurs?This study is based on analysis of political documents about the cultural and creative industries (CCI) from the European union, national level and regional level. Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka hur mindre svenska event- och turismföretag använder sig av hemsidor och sociala medier för att marknadsföra sig via Internet. Bakgrunden till detta ämnesval är delvis ett intresse från oss författare. Genom våra studier och vårt intresse för event och ?turismbranschen har vi blivit allt mer intresserade av dessa verktyg då vi tror att de kan vara av stor vikt speciellt för mindre företag inom denna bransch. Vi har även identifierat ett behov av vidare studier inom ämnet från forskare (Robeiro & Love, 2003).
