Students at Jönköping School of Engineering were given an assignment from Jönköping municipality, to evaluate their decision support system, QlikView. The students have also developed proposals for improvement with focus on usability.The Jönköpings municipality has currently got 11000 employees and consists of nine different administrations. The target group for QlikView is approximately 600 first-line managers.The intention of QlikView is that the users can get an overall picture of their business by having all information in just one system.The purpose of the thesis is to obtain a picture of what the users think about the system today and present relevant suggestions for improvement, which the Jönköping municipality can use when the introduction of the new version of QlikView takes place. Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på hur lärare ser på och använder laborativt material i matematikundervisningen. För att svara på studiens syfte och frågeställningar har kvalitativa intervjuer gjorts med sju lärare som undervisar i årskurs 1-3. Observationer har också gjorts för att se vilka laborativa material som finns och hur de används av lärare och elever.Analys av intervjuerna visar att lärarna i första hand nämner plockmaterial i intervjuerna. Andra material som är vanligt förekommande enligt både intervjuer och observationer är vardagens material (pengar) och skolans laborativa material (centicuber). Lärare berättar att det laborativa materialet används i så gott som alla områden i matematik.

The author contacted designers Claesson Koivisto Rune Arkitektkontor in August 2007regarding his Master thesis at KTH. The company had discussed the possibility of creating achair made from molded pulp. The author was taken on as a manager for the project. Theobjective was to produce design documentation for a paper pulp chair which was to belaunched at the in 2008 Milan Furniture Fair. The purpose of the thesis was to develop aproduct with scientific methods as well as to investigate how to make collaboration betweendesigners and engineers easier through communication.The project went through four basic stages: Information, Analysis, Synthesis and Evaluation.Information on paper pulp, molded pulp, chair design, sitting postures and the existingmarket of molded pulp furniture.

Syftet med denna studie är att göra en komparativ studie och undersöka vilken typ av material barn på två förskolor i två länder använder sig av och hur de använder material i sin lek. Förskolorna ligger i Sverige och Bosnien-Hercegovina. Metoden bestod av observationer i de två förskolorna och pågick i fyra dagar i varje förskola. Den tidigare forskningen och den teoretiska utgångspunkten bestod av tidigare studier och teorier om socialisation och könssocialisation och hur detta inverkar i ett barns uppväxt och föreställningar om vad som är kvinnligt och manligt. Resultatet i denna studie visar att barns val av material till viss del återspeglar rådande könsrollsmönster i båda länderna genom att flickor intar en mer omhändertagande roll av familj, medan pojkar visar styrka och tuffhet genom olika typer av krigslekar. Det var dock svårt att dra en generell slutsats, eftersom det fanns situationer där pojkarna valde material och typer av lekar som traditionellt betraktas som typiskt kvinnliga situationer.

En förfrågan om att utvärdera P2P-processens prestationsmätningssystem på IKEA AB, Finance Services ledde till utvärderingsstudien.Syfte: Syftet med utvärderingsstudien är att utveckla en modell med dimensioner, för att analysera prestationsmätningssystem på shared service centres. Analysmodellen kommer appliceras på P2P-processen inom IKEA AB, Finance Services.

I takt med att vi förbrukar samhällets resurser så ökar intresset för att ersätta oljebaserade material med likvärdiga baserade på cellulosa. Det forskas mycket kring nya cellulosabaserade material och dess egenskaper, och det presenteras även nya material som är mer eller mindre färdiga för produktion. Vid en produkts utveckling och framställning finns det ett stort antal olika material tillhands att välja ibland. De traditionella och etablerade materialen är väl undersökta och deras egen skaper är välkända och väl dokumenterade, men så är inte alltid fallet med nya material som kommer fram från forskningen. En uppfattning är att det kan vara svårt att få ett material att gå från att vara ett intressant, nytt material till att det faktiskt hittar sin väg in till en produktion eller till att ingå i en produkt.Syftet med arbetet är att det ska vara till hjälp för de personer som är involverade i ett materials framtagande i förståelsen av om vad intressenter efterfrågar från ett nytt material.

This study is a follow up of a pilot study made 2004, that evaluated feeding, exercise and weight as possible risk factors for developing any kind of diabetes in dogs. We have selected our material for a certain kind of DM that exists among Norwegian and Swedish elkhounds. These breeds are among the most common breeds affected by diabetes and this kind of DM almost exclusively affects intact bitches. We performed a case- control study where the owners were interviewed over the phone. The owners of a total of 48 case dogs and 58 control dogs were contacted. The questions for the cases focused on the time before the diagnosis and the questions for the control dogs focused on the dog´s adult life.

The aim for this essay is to identify and distinguish the metal casting of Uppåkra during late Iron Age by examine related material that primarily consist of finds made with a metal detector. I intend to, by analysing maps, concentrations in the detector material and probable constructions within the settlement, find patterns that can indicate a metal casting activity. The results of the essay show that a number of concentrations can be seen and that they both indicate metalworking activities and to some degree a structural specialization in the settlement. The exclusive artefacts also indicate that Uppåkra was a settlement with over-regional functions when it comes to traditions dealing with metal casting..

In this Master's Thesis a rhetorical analysis is applied to reading suggestions in the database Boktips.net. Boktips.net utilize the Internet for readers advisory by offering public libraries in Sweden to use and participate to its contents. The aim is to examine how library staff writes about literature in Boktips.net. The empirical material is delimited to reading suggestions on fiction for adults. Areas in focus of the analysis are rhetorical context, disposition, style and components from the point of view of content: summary, evaluation on portrayal of characters and setting, narrative, language use, genre and themes, entertainment, insights and external information.

The application of the LSS law and how the public organization (Municipality of Hudiksvall) later had to reform their organization to fit the new demands is the foundation to this master's thesis.
