År 2009 färdigställdes två passivhus på Portvakten Söder i Växjö. Mellan de två byggnaderna finns en spillvattenvärmeväxlare installerad i ett försök att ta tillvara på outnyttjad energi ifrån byggnadernas utgående spillvatten. Växlarens effektivitet undersöks genom beräkning av dess temperaturverkningsgrad över ett dygn. Verkningsgraden bestäms genom temperaturmätning med tekniken termoelement. Vald metod tillsammans med upptäckten av grundvatten på mätplatsen medförde att temperaturmätningen inte blev tillförlitlig och uträknad verkningsgrad för växlaren blev därmed inte rimlig.Under 2013 var skillnaden i varmvattenförbrukning 55 % mellan de två husen.

There are different ways of developing a second language. The purpose of this qualitative study is to investigate whether and possibly how music, focused on singing, can improve the development of Swedish as a second language. Through interviews with three vocal teachers, from three different schools in Sweden, and observations of one of the vocal teachers, information about how they work and think about the subject has been collected. The vocal teachers teach groups of second language learners by singing songs made especially for second language learning. The vocal teachers consider singing beneficial in the development of the pronunciation and improvement of the prosody, which affects the students? capacity to sound like a native Swedish speaker.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur mediers gestaltning av mat och matlagning reproducerar livsstilar och identiteter. De senaste åren har mat börjat förekomma alltmer frekvent i olika medier. Varje dag släpps en ny bok om matlagning i Sverige, när vi bläddrar bland kanalerna på tv:n visas nästan alltid någon form av matlagningsprogram och i affären syns rader av matmagasin i tidningsställen.I genomförandet av vår undersökning har vi valt att använda oss av identifikationsteorin och teorin om användarperspektivet. För att göra detta har vi gjort en kvalitativ textanalys av artiklar ur två svenska tidningar, Dagens Nyheter och Allt om mat. Med hjälp av ett kodschema har varje artikel analyserats på både makro- och mikronivå.

During Sweden's economic crisis in the early 1990s a governmental committe of prominent economic and political experts were gathered to produce an analysis of and suggestions to the solution of that crisis. The committe produced a report that became widely commented in the media and in parliment. The report anc the reception of it gives us insights in how the boundaries between social science and politics are created an how new fields of expertise is added to a science. This thesis uses a constructivist approach to explore how the techniques of the economic science were made into credible means of knowöedge production outside of the field where it traditionally holds epistemological authority. Working from the assumption that language does things to the objects that it describes I claim that the episode investigated in this thesis was shaped by the committee's ability to define the economic crissi and thus making it into a knowable object.

A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. Kok Haal-Tau i centrala Tian Shan påverkas som resten av världens glaciärer av klimatförändringar. Avrinningen från glaciärerna påverkar vattenflödet i Tarimbäckenet, i och med glaciärernas koppling tillklimatförändringar riskeras vattenflödet att ändras. Genom fjärranalys av området avgörs hur förändringen har sett ut mellan 1990 och 2013. Den uppmätta glaciärarea i området har ökat kraftigt samtidigt som dess tungor har dragit sig tillbaka. Skillnaden mellan uppmätt area och tillbakadragande tillskrivs olikheter i snötäcken mellan åren samt förekomst av supraglacialt material.

ProblemIdeation in group is used by many, often as a tool for creating new and innovative ways to solve problems and creating change. Groups may have difficulties to move from the phase of inspiration to the phase of ideation, if information and ideas aren?t defined in the team.The authors claim that this process can be helped by providing practical tools that are adapted and tested for the purpose. The reason is to foster concretization of volatile thoughts in form of inspiration and information.PurposeThe study aims to investigate how Storyboard as a tool can be used to concretize thoughts and inspiration in a group before ideation.MethodIn order to collect empirical data the authors along with four other facilitators, conducted 24 DO TANK:s for the innovation contest Smart Lunch. The empirical data where then analyzed using theories related to the topic.

I den här uppsatsen undersöks opinionsmaterialets utveckling och förändring mellan 1986 och 2013 i de fyra tidningarna Dagens Nyheter, Expressen, Metro och Nerikes Allehanda. De år som har undersökts i nämnda period är 1986, 1995, 2004 samt 2013. Genom kvantitativa undersökningar har vi studerat hur mycket opinionstexterna har ökat i antal, hur placeringen på tidningssidan har förändrats, vilka ämnesområden som har bevakats och hur många kvinnliga respektive manliga skribenter som har skrivit texterna.En kompletterande kvalitativ undersökning har också gjorts för att undersöka hur argumentationen i opinionstexterna har förändrats genom åren. För att komma fram till det har vi använt oss av Aristoteles retorikbegrepp ethos, pathos och logos, och applicerat dem på ett urval av krönikor från olika år och tidningar.Undersökningen visar att antalet opinionstexter utanför ledarplats har ökat och att majoriteten av skribenterna är män. Undersökningen visar även hur den populära spalten så sakteligen har börjat bytas ut mot andra placeringar på nyhetssidan.

Varje år bildas upp emot 90 tropiska cykloner över de tropiska världshaven (Emanuel, 2013). Flera av dessa når landområden och kan orsaka förödande skador vilket gör cyklonerna till ett av världens mest fruktade väderfenomen. För att skydda oss - både direkt genom varning och evakuering, och förebyggande genom exempelvis ändrade byggnormer i drabbade områden - krävs mer kunskap om hur, vart och när cyklonerna bildas. Bildningsprocessen av dessa stormar kräver att vissa faktorer uppfylls, exempelvis vattentemperatur över ca 26 °C, låg vindskjuvning och utlösande processer. Det är ett faktum att klimatet förändras och att jordens medeltemperatur ökar.
