The purpose of this essay is to investigate how parents of children with ADHD or autism experience the transition between preschool and preschool classes. To get answers to my questions, I interviewed five parents representing three different schools in one municipality. I have chosen to use a qualitative research interview inspired by phenomenology. The results of this study show that parents perceptions differ, in terms of how well the transition work for children, and how support and treatment are at a transition. For children with a documented diagnosis, schools have an action plan for those in the gray area there are no procedures.

Slovenia and Latvia are two examples of countries which have gone through a successful democratic transition. They were both under authoritarian rule and command economy up until their declarations of independence in the early 90s. Today they have a functional market economy and political pluralism. I have examined transition theories highlighted by Jonas Linde and Joakim Ekman and from these theories sought the explanations to what lies behind the successful transitions of these two countries. The transition in Slovenia was affected by liberalization from within the ruling communist party which then controlled much of the transition process. A relatively large civil society and the fact that Slovenia was not involved in the Balkan War also contributed to the short process.

This essay aims to explain the fluctuations in the Swedish transition rate to higher education between 1923 and 2002. With theories of human capital, and screening, as points of departure, seven variables are selected and their correlation with the transition rate investigated by use of graphs and tables. The variables are unemployment, youth unemployment, the supply of academics, cohort size, number of high school graduates from programs preparing for ensuing studies, relative wage trends for worker categories with differing levels of education, and structural phase. Results show that no single variable nor the theories of human capital or screening can explain the fluctuations in transition rate in full. Instead I propose a theoretic model which amalgamates the above and places risk aversion as the driving force behind the individual?s educational decision.

The intention with the research was to investigate the role of civil society in the Kenyan democratization process. The research intends thus to analyze (1) the role of civil society in Kenya's transition to democracy (1990- 2002), and (2) the role of civil society in the further democratization process (2002- 2013).The results of the research demonstrates that the role of civil society played a crucial role in Kenya?s transition to democracy given that civil society provided with a multiparty- system in 1991. Detta examensarbete behandlar STT/F-bjälklagselementens krympning och krypning. Arbetet har utförts på uppdrag av Strängbetong AB, med Örjan Pettersson som initiativtagare och handledare.STT/F-bjälklagselement är en prefabricerad förspänd betongprodukt bestående av två spända balkar med en ovanpåliggande armerad platta. De används som bjälklag i yttertakskonstruktioner och har, tack vare tunna balkliv och en sadelformad platta, låg vikt och kan uppnå spännvidder närmare 30 meter.Förspända element förändras efter gjutning på grund av krympning, krypning samt stålets relaxation. Förutsättningarna varierar med bland annat olika betongkvalitet, förspänningsnivå, temperatur och luftfuktighet. Vid dimensionering tas hänsyn till dessa parametrar för att säkerställa maximal spännvidd och upplagslängd.

Vid sjukdom genomgår personen en transition, processen innebär att ny kunskap, upplevelser och erfarenheter integreras över tid och blir en naturlig del i dagligt liv. När en människa drabbas av långvarig sjukdom förändras livet radikalt, det ären händelse som delar upp livet före och efter sjukdom. Transition är enkomplex och personlig process som handlar om att utforska det egnamedvetandet för att komma till insikt och finna mening. Syftet med vårlitteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelsen av att leva med långvarig sjukdomur ett transitionsperspektiv. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie där 11vetenskapliga artiklar ingick och analyserades med manifest deduktivinnehållsanalys. Det resulterade i nio kategorier; att ställas inför ett besked, attfå ett förändrat liv med förluster, att känna ovisshet och osäkerhet, att varaberoende av andra, att förlora sin självkänsla, att vara ensam i sin sjukdom, attåterta kontrollen och bli medveten om sin kropp, att känna hopp, stöd ochlycka, att prioritera och lära sig av erfarenheter.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to illustrate Serbia?s democratic development on the basis of consolidate democratic perspective. Linz & Stepan´s five arenas (political, civil, economic, legal and bureaucratic) are required for the possibility to become a consolidate democracy. In order to fulfil the aim, I have chosen to focus on the political and civil arenas that are most central in the study of consolidate democracy.The purpose of this study is to process how far Serbia has come towards a consolidate democracy and which obstacles still remain in the transition.The questions in this study are:? What problems has Serbia faced since the democratic transition in the beginning of 1990?? What possibilities are there for Serbia to consolidate the democracy, with focus on the two key arenas of consolidation?By applying the theoretical framework to the data, I have been able to present answers and build up an analysis.

AbstractThe purpose of this work is to contribute knowledge about the transition of children from preschool to preschool classes. The experiences of pedagogical staff, parents and children are described, based on four deepening questions. The questions are about what the actors experience as positive and what the difficulties were in the transition process, and they also cover the differences of children and collaboration between actors. The method consists of qualitative interviews with parents, children, and pedagogical staff. The interviews concern the experiences of transition from the different actors.
