AbstractThis master thesis is a hermeneutic inspired case study of how the value base regarding the environmental and social responsibility in the Swedish coffee company Löfbergs Lila AB is affecting the company's business. A thesis inspired by hermeneutics means that it is based on two ideas, the one of interaction between entirety and partitions and the one of interpretation (Alvesson & Sköldberg 1994). This cause that the emphasis is on how the reality is interpreted and that it never can be seen as completely objective.The case study was conducted during the spring semester of 2010 at Karlstad's University and consists of both empirical and theoretical material collected during this time. The empirical material in this thesis includes, among other things, interviews with four representatives of Löfbergs Lila AB, written material from the company regarding its work related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), some information about the coffee industry as a whole and different certifications for "ethical? coffee that exists on the Swedish market.The basic idea with CSR as a business strategy is that it can be financially beneficial for companies to take a social and environmental responsibility outside of the company (Vogel 2005).

Centrala begrepp: Virusmarknadsföring, etik och moral, virala agenter, image, identitet och kundvärde. Problemformulering: Vilken effekt har olika viruskampanjer på konsumentens uppfattning om företaget? Syfte: - Att utifrån befintlig teori på området beskriva vad som kännetecknar virusmarknadsföring. - Att utifrån fyra utvalda virusfilmer förklara hur denna form av virusmarknadsföring uppfattas utifrån konsumentens synvinkel. - Att finna eventuellt samband mellan en virusfilms utförande och konsumentens uppfattning om företaget. Metod: Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ ansats, där en kvalitativ undersökning utförts i form av fem fokusgruppsintervjuer, där grupperna ordnats utefter kön och ålder. Teori: Den teoretiska referensramen bygger på de teorier som finns inom området virusmarknadsföring, samt inom etik och moral. Dessa teorier är främst gjorda för olika företag med ingen eller mycket liten inblick i hur konsumenten själva uppfattar virusmarknadsföringen. Inte heller nämner teorierna virusmarknadsföringens etiska och moraliska betänkligheter. De teorier vi funnit på området har gett oss kunskap och insikt i ämnet samt legat till grund för en jämförelse i hur konsumenten uppfattar denna form av marknadsföring. Empiri: Empirin grundas på de fem genomförda fokusgruppsintervjuerna, samt fyra utvalda företags virusfilmer. Slutsats: Vår slutsats är att en virusfilm antingen skapar en positiv eller negativ reaktion hos konsumenten.

Denna uppsats behandlar den retoriska övningen smädelsen och dess roll som övertygningsmedel inom rapbattlesituationer likväl som i retorikutbildningen. Jag tar mig en närmare titt på vinnaren av Vendetta (rapbattle sm i Sverige 2012), Mr.Cool, där jag i hans battles finner smädelsens topiker. Uppsatsen ser till smädelsens topiker och dess effektivitet i att söka avråda Vendettas publik och domare från att sympatisera med Mr.Cools motståndare. Vidare ställer jag denna till synes stridande argumentationsteknik i förhållande till retorikens krav på moral och etik för att utvinna om detta är förenligt. Jag utgår ifrån tanken att den retoriska situationen och publiken kommer att påverka utfallet av vad både battlerapparen Mr.Cool och publiken anser vara passsande och därmed för domarnas slutgiltiga utlåtande.Undersökningens resultat visar på att användandet av smädelsen tycks vara ett effektivt retoriskt medel i denna situation, i diskussionen resonerar jag kring frågan om samma slutsats kan gälla för andra situationer..

This thesis aimed to, with the help of a case study, investigate and discuss state responsibility towards climate refugees. The state of Tuvalu was selected because of their vulnerability as a low-lying island state. This was fulfilled by on-site study how the state Tuvalu acted to climate threats, determine if the future migrants from Tuvalu can be counted as climate refugees and find out if they are by that definition included by the UN Refugee Convention. The result indicated that the state of Tuvalu is adapting to climate threats, that in the future the population can be seen as climate refugees, if they are forced from their homes due to climate change, and that they, despite that definition, can not be included by the UN Refugee Convention. The study also indicates a need for greater international protection of climate refugees by, for example, an expansion of the UN Refugee Convention so that these vulnerable people do not fall into oblivion due to a question of definition..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om det finns någon relation mellan den starka företagarkulturen och de många frikyrkoförsamlingarna i Gnosjöregionen. Uppsatsen bygger främst på intervjuer med tre medlemmar ur Alliansmissionen.Informationen som kommer fram i intervjuerna har till stora delar analyserats mot Webers bok Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism. I grunden bygger idén till uppsatsen på Webers teori om hur kalvinismen gynnade kapitalistisk framgång.Att det finns en relation mellan frikyrkorna och näringslivet i regionen framkom tydligt i intervjuerna. Bygdens historia har också haft stor betydelse för hur både religion och företag har utvecklats. Likheter med Webers teori finns men däremot har det under detta arbetes gång inte gått att se något direkt inflytande från kalvinismen i området.

The purpose of this thesis is to get a better understanding of consumers? perception and knowledge of Fair Trade and Fair Trade products in Sweden. Literature was reviewed before the empirical research was conducted. A quantitative method, in form of a questionnaire survey, has been used. We have entered different areas related to our topic.

This paper aims to create a better understanding for how executing private matters during work hours affect the individual worker. In todays world the access to social medias, the Internet and all your friends is easy to access due to smartphones and computers. Prior research as described this both as a threat against the productivity of the worker and the moral of the workplace. While others mean that it is a source of recovery and something positive.This thesis uses a qualitative method and fifteen interviews where conducted with people between 20-30 years, who where working and living in Sweden. The theory of this paper is built on following areas: Time, the line between work and private, together alone, the brain and the affect it has on the dialogue between colleagues.

This essay focuses on the reception of Yahya Hassan?s debut YAHYA HASSAN in Swedish media, mainly daily newspapers. Following the work of Magnus Nilsson it analyzes the ?reading strategy of the politics of identity? in ?immigrant literature? and outlines structural racism in the literary scene. By bringing attention to the critics? use of this reading strategy, it is possible to unveil the ?ethnic filter? through which literature by Swedish authors with a ?non-Swedish identity? is being read in contemporary Swedish literary criticism.

Over the past decade, the fashion industry has experienced a relatively high rate of consumption with material and clothing becoming increasingly subject to waste and disposal. As a result of the increased awareness within the industry the interest in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) amongst retailers has increased substantially in an attempt to shy away from the critically amplified media attention. In addition the underlying demand from external stakeholders has forced companies to ensure they focus and act upon each stage of the product life cycle.This study provides a further in depth analysis of the fashion industry and conveys the key messages and steps that firms are taking in response to the external pressures and requirements based on four different merged process areas. This research paper examines the impact of CSR on two Swedish fashion retailers Åhléns and JC and shows how accountability relates to the external expectations and norms that prevail in society. The result shows that the firms do meet the demands within each sub category as a response to market demands.

The essay's aim is to explain how responsibility distribution between private and public bodies, primarily within three important service areas, can be visualised in light of the fact that they have experienced different forms of readjustment. We have chosen to study this by looking at the restoration work taking place after the hurricane Gudrun swept across southern Sweden on January 8-9, 2005; and we have chosen to concentrate on the service areas of electricity- and telephone supply, and public transport. The responsibility distribution has been depicted by carrying out qualitative interviews with employees within both private and public bodies included in the restoration work. The conclusion produced is that there were obscurities in the formal responsibility distribution between private and public actors taking place in conjunction with the hurricane restoration work.In a deeper analysis, the result can be explained by a ?several hands? problem arising since the number of actors has increased as the public sphere has adopted leadership forms influenced by the private business sector.

The essay examines women's experiences of gender equality and how it is defined and done in heterosexual relationships, putting equality in a private, intimate and personal context. The essay was done through semi-structured qualitative interviews, where women told stories of their own experiences in romantic heterosexual relationships. The analysis is based on the women?s stories and partially through a discourse analysis and is, among others, theorized by patriarchy, defined by Sylvia Walby, as well as emotion work through Arlie Russell Hochschild. All the women did to some extent share having had a much larger role of work and responsibility in most discussed aspects of their relationships.

Abortion remains a contentious issue, which greatly raises ethical problems. This thesis examines the leading arguments in the Swedish abortion debate around the ? in terms of legislation ? critical years of 1938 and 1974. With Foucault's genealogical method, Butler's theories of gender as a social construction in relation to power and doxa, the study examines what the development of the argumentation says about the views on morality, the woman's body, life, individual and state? How has the arguments pro and against abortion changed over time and what does this say about the norms that guide and orientate the arguments? The most obvious change in argumentation is seen in the shift from an absolute moral and conservative position into an increasingly relativistic and liberal position, and this study will argue that this shift has its prerequisites in the changing status of the citizen and state.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att analysera CSR-kommunikationen från Sveriges två största livsmedelskoncerner, ICA och Axfood, under åren 2012 och 2013. Denna analys kommer att göras utifrån företagens officiella hållbarhetsredovisningar. Studien avser även att analyseravilka tydliga skillnader som finns mellan företagens kommunikation. För att göra detta har vår studie utgått från modellen The pyramid of corporate social responsibility av Archie B. Carroll.

Eventing is often called as the formula 1 in equestrian sports and comprises three disciplines: dressage, show jumping and cross-country. The sport provides excitement, challenge and joy and is the ultimate sport for intelligent riders and horses. Many are fascinated by the challenges the sport offers while other consider it foolhardy to ride a cross-country. Eventing is not a risk-free sport and has even been given the label of being one of the world´s most dangerous sports. What do those risks mean to the horse? And particularly, is it associated with good animal ethics to use the horse for eventing? Finding answers to these questions is not easy as it probably is not a clear and simple answer.

The main focus of the essay is to investigate if bugging can be justified from two ethics perspectives, the teleological and the deontology. I?ve chosen to emanate from two specific values which I believe is especially relevant to the ethical problems of bugging, efficiency in fighting crime and the personal integrity. To be able to illustrate this conflict between different values did I do an analysis of an official report which had the task to explore if Sweden should introduce bugging as a new means of compulsion. The official report's statement was that the police should have modern instrument to fighting crimes efficient, including bugging.My examination of the report showed that they used several arguments derived from both the efficiency in fighting crime perspective and the personal integrity perspective.
