Analysis of eucalyptus plantations on the Iberian Peninsula

This thesis analyses the prerequisites, profitability and competitiveness of eucalyptus plantation on the Iberian Peninsula and in Brazil. The thesis has a macro perspective and analyses a typical hectare of eucalyptus in each studied region. A survey methodology was used as a strategy to cover a broad perspective using expert respondents. The regions studied on the Iberian Peninsula were the ones found suitable for eucalyptus plantations from an economic point of view. The studied regions were Huelva in the South West of Spain, Galicia in the North West of Spain and Portugal.

Orsaksfaktorer till personalomsättning i fastighetsmäklarbranschen : Med fokus på ledarskapets betydelse

Syfte: Personalomsättning är ett omfattande problem i fastighetsmäklarbranschen. Eftersom vi utbildar oss till fastighetsmäklare, är studien av intresse för oss då vi vill få insikt i personalomsättning och vilken betydelse ledarskapet har för medarbetarna. -          Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur ledarskapet kan påverka personalomsättningen inom fastighetsmäklarbranschen i Sverige.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod. Datainsamlingen har utförts i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Vi har utfört totalt 16 intervjuer, fördelat på 11 medarbetare och 4 ledare. 14 av intervjuerna har utförts face-to-face, och två har skett via telefon.

Kommunikation med hjälp av mock-uper

In several cases, systems that have been developed have been very time consuming and cost a lot of money, but they still do not fulfil the users requirements and requests. To make new systems better, you have to find a way to communicate that allows the developers to understand the needs of the user. The aim for our thesis is to highlight the importance of communication in system development. To investigate this we have choosen to do a study of the real-estate system. The work methods that have been used include mock-ups and informal conversations with the user, who is employed by the Church of Sweden in Ronneby.

Röjning på snö och röjning på barmark : effekter på produktivitet och kvarvarande bestånd

Approximately 4000-5000 hectares, of SCA´s forest land area in Västerbotten, are in need of pre-commercial thinning (PCT) every year. Within the management district, the areas annually treated with PCT must increase, in order to decrease the area with an urgent need for PCT. This can be done by employing more forest workers or entrepreneurs, by mechanized PCT or by an extended season for PCT. Positive experiences from a private forest owner, who started to carry out PCT when the first snow came and then continued for several months, gave an idea to investigate the possibilities to prolong the season of PCT. The purpose of this experiment was to compare PCT carried out when there was snow on the ground with PCT performed when there was no snow on the ground.

Huggormsbett hos hund i Sverige : en klinisk studie och litteraturöversikt

Every year many dogs in Sweden are bitten by the adder, a venomous snake (Vipera berus). Despite the fact that adder bites are so common in dogs there have been few investigations made that study the effects of treatment with glucocorticoids, a drug that is commonly used. We have carried out a literature study concerning adder bites in dogs and a prospective study where case history, clinical signs and treatment have been recorded in dogs that were presented at two veterinary hospitals after a confirmed or suspected adder bite. Fifty three dogs were included in the study out of which 22 were treated with glucocorticoids. In our study, the group of dogs treated with glucocorticoids was compared with the group of dogs that did not receive glucocorticoid treatment by the owner or on arrival at the clinic.

In June 2006 the Swedish government decided that the use of energy in buildings should be reduced by 20 percent until 2020, compared to the level of energy used in 1995. En bostadsmarknad på svaj med lyxboenden på kaj : En studie av fenomenet bostadsbrist på hyresmarknaden och dess problem ur aktörernas perspektiv

70 percent of Sweden´s municipalities say they do not have vacant rental flats and a shortage is emerging, during the same time are 1.1 million young people ready to enter the housing market. In order to curb the housing shortage, have the Swedish politicians since the postwar period chosen to stimulate the market with subsidies to increase new production and to control that what is built is in the right direction. The construction industry is perceived as conservative, and many argue that the state keeps it under their wings, which has led to that the development not has progressed in the same way as other, non-subsidy regulated industries.The purpose of ours bachelor thesis is to provide an overall picture and describe the underlying problems of the housing shortage at the rental market. In addition, we want to present theories about where possible actions could take place in the market, by illuminate the problem from the differente actors perspective.To fulfill our purpose and provide a deeper understanding of the problem we have chosen a qualitative approach. We interviewed nine different actors on the Swedish housing market, two managers, two to representatives of Halmstad Municipality, a representative for the construction operators and four different interest groups.

Beviskraven för förbättringsutgifter på privatbostäder : Rättsläget efter 2002 års Regeringsrättsavgöranden

Förbättringsutgifter på privatbostäder får dras av vid kapitalvinstberäkningen när bostaden säljs. För att ett sådant skattemässigt avdrag ska medges har normalt krävts att kvitton eller fakturor visats för utgifterna. Två domar från Regeringsrätten år 2002 visade dock att det går att bevisa att förbättringsutgifter funnits med annan bevisning än kvitton och fakturor. I de två fallen ansåg Regeringsrätten att den bevisning som visats utgjorde en godtagbar utredning över förbättringsutgifterna trots att bevisningen inte bestod av kvitton eller fakturor. I denna uppsats har författaren undersökt vilken bevisning rättstillämparna ansett utgöra en godtagbar utredning efter 2002 års Regeringsrättsavgöranden.

Komponentavskrivning enligt K3-regelverket : Hur identifierar fastighetsbolag komponenterna?

Problembakgrund och problemformulering: Komponentavskrivningar är en del av BFN:s allmänna råd som även kallas K3, vilket blev tvingande från och med år 2014. Vi har i denna komparativa studie behandlat hur familjeägda och kommunala fastighetsbolag tillämpar komponentmetoden, eftersom de kan ha olika skäl till förvaltning. Vi kom därför fram till följande problemformuleringar: Vilka kriterier har familjeägda respektive kommunägda fastighetsbolag vid identifieringen av antal komponenter? Hur förhåller sig dessa fastighetsbolag till begreppet rättvisande bild i samband med valet av antal komponenter?Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att utveckla en förklaringsmodell för vilka kriterier familjeägda respektive kommunägda fastighetsföretag beaktar vid urskiljning av antal komponenter enligt K3-regelverket.Metod: Studien har ett explorativt syfte eftersom området är outforskat. Studien har genomförts med en triangulering, där vi först gjorde en pilotstudie där vi tog reda på om fastighetsbolagen hade tillräckligt med kunskap för att svara på våra frågor.

VÄRDERING OCH REDOVISNING AV FÖRVALTNINGSFASTIGHETER I KONJUNKTURNEDGÅNG

In the year of 2005 the international standard IAS 40 came in to use in Sweden, this lead to an opportunity for the corporations to choose either to evaluate their investment properties according to the historical cost accounting principal. The model contains the obtaining price with reduction for the planned writing off. The alternative that IAS40 offers is the fairvalue principal, which evaluate the investment properties by consideration of the income versus outcome and surrounding factors for every accounting periodSince the fairvalue is buildt on numbers the corporations them self choose what to publish and for how long the value depreciation should be lasting before it should be taken up as an unrealized value change in the reporting material. This means that there is a big chance that the evaluation can be distortedSince we just recently have had strong cyclical variation and are on our way from an excess boom into a weak economic climate, this will be the first study performed about fair value in a weak economic climate since the adoption of IAS40.The purpose of the essay is to find out how well the booked value of investment properties owned by corporations listed on the Swedish stock market accord with the fairvalue that the market and the Swedish property index indicates on. To be able to test this connection we gathered information from the corporation?s annual reports which we compiled to see how the market comprehends.

Vilken information får hundägare i samband med kastrering av sin hanhund?

BACKGROUND Until 1988, it was forbidden to neuter male dogs in Sweden without a veterinary medical cause, so there is clearly no long tradition of this procedure in healthy dogs. According to the website of The Swedish Kennel Club (SKK), February 11, 2011, there has been an increase of castrated male dogs in Sweden. They see this increase as worrying, especially in cases of the less common breeds, where it is most important to maintain the gene pool. The SKK expresses concern that castration is used as a tool to influence the personality of dogs, instead of training and education of the dog. They write that castration should be preceded by a discussion initiated by the veterinarian, where the pros and cons of castration are weighed against each other.

Val av fastighetsmäklare : En jämförelse småstad/storstad

Tillskottet av nya mäklarkontor ökar årligen och varje år examineras flera hundra nya fastighetsmäklare. Att säljare jämför fastighetsmäklare har kanske varit vanligast i storstäderna, men i takt med att konkurrensen hårdnar även på mindre orter upplever vi att det blivit ett allt vanligare fenomen även där. Vi kommer båda från en småstad och är inte främmande för tanken att flytta till en större stad som nyutexaminerade fastighetsmäklare. Vi frågar oss vilka faktorer som är avgörande vid valet av fastighetsmäklare i en storstad kontra småstad? Kan vi se några skillnader? Avsikten med uppsatsen är att ge oss en ökad kunskap om vilka faktorer privatpersoner anser viktiga vid valet av fastighetsmäklare vid en villaförsäljning.Materialet bygger på två parallella enkätundersökningar, en i Hudiksvall och en i Stockholmsamt intervjuer med branschfolk.

Hållbara uppvärmningsalternativ för Grinda Wärdshus : En studie om uppvärmning med pellets och flis

This report is a bachelor's thesis of two students from the Energy and Environment degree at KTH Stockholm. Grinda is an island situated Stockholm archipelago. Skärgårdsstiftelsen is landowners and manages the area. Grinda Wärdshus, a guest house located in the island, currently uses an oil-fired boiler as a heating system. The aim of this thesis is to investigate whether wood chips or pellets is, from a sustainability standpoint, a suitable heating method for the guest house.
