From the mid 19th century to the early 20th century about 1.2 million Swedes left Sweden for a new life in America. Three parishes in Örebro län is at the centre of the research of this Essay. The time span of this Essay ranges from 1856-1915, divided into three periods; 1856-1870, 1881-1895 and 1901-1915. The main objective has been to compare the three parishes with each other, with Örebro län and with Sweden. What I have wanted to examine has been the following: How many people from each parish emigrated during each period? How many were men, women and children up to the age of 15? In the analysis part of the Essay the results were compared parish with parish, and with Örebro län and Sweden.

The purpose of this Essay is to show how or if teachers use different methods working with minority language students, who don?t speak Swedish in lower primary school. By using different socio-cultural perspectives I want to show that learning for both students and teachers is contextual and socially connected and how practical knowledge is significant for many teachers.My working method of this Essay is made in a qualitative form by interviews with four preschool teachers. By these interviews I hope to find account for how teachers with or without experience work with immigrant children.The result of my survey shows that perceived experience is significant to most of my informants, which is what deficient in their work with non-Swedish speaking children.    .

AbstractThe purpose of this Essay is to analyse and interpret artist Hans Hedberg?s monumental, ceramic reliefs in Sweden and France. Hedberg is internationally famous for his ceramic fruits and eggs in different glaces and formats. A mostly unknown side of his artistic production is that he produced about 50 ceramic reliefs during the 1950s and up to the 1970s in public buildings. Hedberg was one of very few foreign artists in France, who, during a long period of time, produced monumental, public reliefs for the French state.

This Essay aims to broaden the understanding of intolerance towards people with religious and/or cultural Islamic association or background. This thesis has intolerance and Islamophobia as central components and starts with the question: In what manner do twelve pupils talk about Islam and Muslims in their third year of the vocational program, in small towns and in the countryside? The survey took place in the south of Sweden in a rural municipality where a total of twelve students from the industrial, electricity and vehicle program in the Swedish gymnasiums participated in two separate focus group interviews. The Essay will use an intersectional analysis to see where the students position themselves and Muslims in relation to each other and to society. The Essay also contains a comparison of Islamophobia in the country side and in the city environment.
