To be able to plan for the expansion of a town, one needs a vision of the future appear-ance of the town. It is the current issues (social situation, supply and demand, political control etc.) which decide what the ideal for town planning is. This is turn is the steering factor of the physical structure of the town. Therefore, the town's structure is decided by these ideals.In this report, I will present planning ideals that have historically been, and which criticisms that have been directed towards them. With reference to these issues, I will present those guidelines and ideals we have today for planning of our towns.

This thesis is a study of spatial practice and literary depictions of homes in novels by Elsie Johansson, Kerstin Thorvall and Kristina Sandberg. The theoretical perspective is based on Henri Lefebvre´s view on social space, and on the concept of spatial practice. Research questions are: What homes are depicted? How does spatial practice function in the texts? How does the depictedspatial practice relate to norms and ideals?The novels, published 1993-2014, depict an interesting period in Swedish history (cirka 1920-1970) when politics and society at large was deeply involved in reshaping the homes and lives of Swedish citizens. The aim was to turn the citizens into new, healthy and rational parts of the new and rational society.

The purpose of this master thesis is to attract attention to the undefined spaces of our urban landscape and emphasize the need of these spaces in the city. The different values of these spaces are here clearly presented so that they can be considered when real estate developers show a particular interest in any one of these undefined spaces. The term undefinied spaces can mean a lot of things. The spaces that I now choose to define as undefined spaces are neither planned nor designed. It could for instance be a piece of leftover land in between two residential areas, or as times change, a formerly planned area might be forgotten and left to its own.

This study was conducted in the red-light area of Pune city, India. The target group of the study is sex workers that are victims of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The purpose of this study was to examine the initial and continuing trauma and its effects, and the coping strategies that these women develop in order to survive. The initial trauma occurs during the trafficking and seasoning process in the brothel. The term continuing trauma refers to violence and psychological trauma that are part of sex workers lives.

Ekvin infektiös anemi (EIA) är en virussjukdom som drabbar hästdjur. Den kännetecknas av ett förlopp med periodiska viremier Symtomen som ses i samband med viremi orsakas av proinflammatoriska cytokiner från det medfödda immunsvaret. Värden blir vanligtvis asymtomatisk inom ett år efter infektion, därefter fortsätter individen att vara persistent infekterad under resten av livet. EIAV kan överföras via kanyler eller blodsugande vektorer (bromsar och stallflugor) som intar blod från hästar med viremi. Virus från blodet på insektens mundelar förs ut i cirkulationen när den biter en ny häst. Viruset infekterar och replikerar i makrofager, vilket leder till att vävnader som har rikligt med makrofager har höga virustitrar, även om halterna varierar med infektionsfas och virulens hos virusstammen. Ett cellmedierat förvärvat immunsvar förmodas vara en mycket viktig faktor för att begränsa virusreplikationen under den akuta fasen.
