This thesis has been performed at Clinical Chemistry at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg. The purpose of the project was to investigate new and alternative ways to determinate synthetic cannabinoids by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Currently, the possibilities to quantify synthetic cannabinoids are very limited. This can lead to an increased use of synthetic cannabinoids as the risk of detection is low, which may be known by drug users. The synthetic cannabinoids are sold mixed with different herbs and have varying names like Spice Gold, Spice Silver, K2, Smoke and Pot-pourri.The synthetic cannabinoids analyzed were JWH-018 and JWH-073, which are commonly found in seized Spice material.

This thesis was performed at Zetterbergs Industri AB. Zetterbergs is designing, building and mounts body systems for trucks, including dumpers and tippers. The assignment for the thesis was to design a door hinge for a spreader gate. The spreader gate is the top of the two tailgates on a dumper or tipper and opens back and outwards when tipping the cargo. The spreader gate controls the mass flow of the material being tipped.

This is an essay in Swedish on the subject of democracy and demonstrations of collective violence. The study is based on a conflict between the youth-house movement in Copenhagen and the state of Denmark - the city of Copenhagen. The focus is over the period December 2006 until January 2008 with reflection on the political movement around the youth-house from the 80's and onwards. This political movement roots back to the late 60's and especially the squatting movement, the BZ, of Europe which had a strong period in Denmark both in the 60's and the 80's. There is also a strong connection to other political movements of anti-fascism, anti-globalisation, queer activism and equal rights.

AimThe aim of this study was to survey the physical fitness in boys with type 1 diabetes (IDDM). The results were compared to a control group with healthy boys that have preformed the same tests in other studies. Our questions were:1. How does BMI relate between IDDM-children and healthy peers?2.

Problem definition and purpose: A debated question in journalism today is if the mass media have the power to affect norms and values in the society. There are therefore many who believe that the media must works for democratic and equitable news coverage. Studies have shown that there are still many differences in how women and men are being portrayed in the Swedish media, even if Sweden is one of the most equal countries in the world. This inequality may affect the democracy and equality in the society negative.Previous studies have mainly been using gender as the only explanatory factor to explain the difference of coverage between men and women in the news content. The purpose of this study will therefore not only be to compare the coverage of the Green Partys two spokespersons, Åsa Romson and Gustav Fridolin, from a gender perspective but also to take in count other factors that could contribute to differences in the news coverage.Method and material: To find an answer to the purpose of this thesis a quantitative content analysis have been done on a total of 238 news articles in which Åsa Romson and/or Gustav Fridolin occur.Main results: The results of the content analysis show that Gustav Fridolin occurs more frequently in the news than Romson does, and that the articles he appears in is lager than the articles in which Romson appears.

In this C-thesis, I investigate the sudden outbreak of the Swedish witch-hunts during the 17th century, mainly focusing on Gävle and Ockelbo in Gästrikland.To show the extension of the Swedish witch-hunts, I have included an introductory part of the thesis, where this is described. Another important part of the thesis is the one about views upon women and the functions of their bodies, which had to do with female sexuality. Women were indeed considered a threat, by men in powerful positions, and very often it was sheriffs, judges, commanders and governors who most strongly claimed this.People believed that the witches went to Blåkulla, which could be practically anywhere. It could be a mountain, an open area, a rock or a heath. It seems, however, to have been situated far north.My investigation mainly concerns the witch-hunts in Ockelbo and Gävle.

AimThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of MotVikt´s obesity-treatment program on eight severely obese subjects, concerning Body Mass Index, Waist-Circumference and Weight after three and a half months and Sense of Coherence, Body Image and Self-experienced Health after three months. The question in focus was: Did MotVikt´s obesity-treatment program have any effects concerning the factors mentioned above?MetodInformation was collected with questionnaires that were filled out by the eight subjects, three men and five women, who participated in MotVikt´s last round of treatment. Data concerning waist-circumference, weight and BMI were provided by MotVikt. The questionnaires that were used to get information about Sense of Coherence, Body Image and Self-Experienced health were SOC-29, BSQ and IQOLA SF-36.ResultatThe average BMI in the group has decreased with 2,9 kg/m2, from 39,7 till 36,8.

Since product placement is a relatively new phenomenon in Swedish television, there is a lack of research on what attitudes Swedish TV-viewers hold towards it. This is where our paper will contribute to the research. The purpose of this reserachpaper is to describe and analyze what attitude Swedish TV-viewers has towards product placement. Kim Schröders multidimensional model of mass media reception were used, which is a developed model from Stuart Hall?s ?encoding/decoding? one-dimensional model.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the media discussions of the rape in Bjästa 2009 and to reveal how stereotypical illusions of ethnicity, religion and gender affect how media understands and defines violence. The rape in Bjästa occurred in a ?Swedish context? but has been defined as honor related in other arenas outside media. This discussion occurred because the whole village turned against the woman that was raped and supported the perpetrator? a phenomena that speaks against the idea of an equal society and a behavior that is usually understood as honor related and something that the ?others? do.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan sociala band och inställning till politiskt motiverat våld. Hirschis teori menar att starka sociala band gör det mindre troligt att individer begår brott. De sociala banden operationaliseras som föräldraanknytning, åtagande i studier och arbete, delaktighet i organiserade fritidsaktiviteter samt förtroende för samhället. Feministisk kritik mot Hirschis teori menar att mannen används som standard då man skapar en teori baserad på analyser av enbart män som generaliseras till hela befolkningen. Frågeställningarna som besvaras i uppsatsen är om det finns samband mellan de sociala banden och inställning till politiskt motiverat våld, om det finns några skillnader beroende på ålder och kön samt om det finns skillnad i sambandet mellan sociala band och inställning till brott beroende på om det rör sig om traditionella eller politiska brott.Anknytning till föräldrar samt förtroende för samhället ger en lägre grad av positiv inställning till politiskt motiverat våld vilket stämmer överens med tidigare forskning.

Today small metal parts are mass-produced as for example rollers in cylinder bearings. At high velocity cutting the metal is cut with a great force in a scissor-like device. Both precision and repeatability is important to be able to guarantee good quality, but from an economical point of view it is also important to keep a great manufacturing capacity. The part of the process that is most time consuming is when the metal bar, that is about to be cut, is fed to the right position. Therefore it is interesting to examine if the time used for positioning can be reduced.

Allt fler barn i Sverige lider av psykisk ohälsa. Det finns ett behov av bättre kunskapsunderlag för att hitta de barn som visar tidiga tecken på psykisk ohälsa. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad personal inom förskolan har för inställning till att utföra skattning av barns sociala och känslomässiga utveckling med formulär. Tretton intervjuer genomfördes och materialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultatet visade att det fanns en olust bland förskollärare att möta föräldrars reaktion och oro inför en eventuell bedömning.

Syftet med detta projekt är att söka samband mellan psykisk besvär och BMI, Body Mass Index hos ungdomar. Till underlag har legat en hälsoenkät som varje elev på två gymnasieskolor besvarat vid skolstart samt information om deras vikt och längd. Sammanlagt har 846 elever fullständig information. Om eleven i hälsoenkäten uppgett att de har ett eller flera av symptomen av psykiska besvär, här definierat som återkommande huvudvärk, återkommande magbesvär, återkommande oro eller ängslan, återkommande sömnsvårigheter, nedstämdhet, mindervärdeskänslor, ätstörningar, brist på energi eller svaghetskänslor, koncentrationssvårigheter eller hopplöshetskänslor, har de klassificerats som elever med psykiska besvär.Resultatet visar att psykiska besvär klassificerats hos 73 % av eleverna. Det största antalet elever med psykisk besvär ligger inom gränsvärdena för normalvikt, cirka två tredjedelar.

I mitt examensarbete har jag valt att försöka undersöka i vilken utsträckning det i en hemmastudio är möjligt att återskapa ett sound från en professionell inspelningsstudio. Denna fråga är intressant för mig då jag fastnade för hur en produktion lät i ljudbilden. Dels instrumentuppsättningen och deras rytmisering men främst soundet på helheten i mixen. Det kändes luftigt, stort och brett i lyssningsspektrat trots att det inte var så mycket instrument. Jag har alltid velat utveckla min förmåga att skapa och producera musik men har inte tillgång till så mycket kvalitativ utrustning.

Obesitas är idag ett stort hot mot folkhälsan och förekommer i alla åldersgrupper. Som en följd av detta skrivs fler kvinnor med obesitas in på Mödrahälsovården än tidigare. Detta resulterar i att barnmorskan allt oftare vårdar gravida kvinnor med obesitas. De medicinska riskerna som föreligger för en kvinna med obesitas är identifierade, men kring barnmorskans upplevelser av detta bemötande finns endast begränsade studier. Syftet med denna studie var därför att undersöka barnmorskans upplevelser av att möta den gravida kvinnan med obesitas, det vill säga ett Body Mass Index >30.
