There is a growing interest for ethical consumption, in general as well as in
the clothing industry. The consumption of ethical clothes is a complex
phenomenon though, where aspects such as quality, style, function, price,
time assets, accessibility and ethical attitudes affect the decision making.
Researches that have been executed show the diversities in development
between different countries. There are fairly strong indications that the
ethical clothing market is more advanced in the United Kingdom than in
Sweden and therefore these two countries are objects of this research.
The aim with this thesis is to describe and explain what have affected the
development of the ethical clothing market in the United Kingdom compared
to Sweden. For that reason a qualitative approach has mainly been used,
where deep interviews with people within the ethical clothing industry have
contributed to most of the empirical part. As a complement secondary data
such as statistics of the two countries have been used in order to investigate
our area.
One useful tool, among others, to investigate the macro environment is the
SLEPT model.

Fluidrörelse- och värmetransportsmodellering i götugn
The purpose of this thesis for Sapa Heat Transfer is to examine a furnace in which aluminium is pre-heated before hot rolling. The project is modeled in a computer environment in which the air flow in the furnace and the heat transfer to the aluminium solids are included. The computer environment and its governing equations, as well as boundary conditions and generalizations, are presented and explained. The simulations are based on two models. The first model has an asymmetric solid placement, which is how it looks in today's ovens. It is validated against collected data.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is the major form of certification system in Swedish forestry today and its more than 11 million hectares are covering almost half of the total productive forest area in the country. Its regulations prescribe that at least 10 wind firm trees should be left behind after every clear cutting operation.
This study have taken place on 30 recently clearcut objects in Bergslagen, Sweden, were an inventory of the standing stock have been made. The research shows that, with 90 % security, the retained trees together contain 9-13 m3sk per hectare. Pine is the dominant tree and it covers more than half the numbers of retained trees and its volume cover 65 % of the retained trees total volume. Spruce is on second place with 30 % of the retained trees, but only 21 % of the standing stock.

Changes in the climate and the environment are largely consequences of human influences. Resources are given to teach adults about the environment. However, there are problems in focusing on adults because it is difficult to influence people when they already have created a lifestyle. We have instead chosen to focus on teaching children about changes in the climate and the consequences of this. Many of the toys available on the market today encourage children to consume. Luxury cars and dolls with hundreds of accessories are often made of materials that has have a negative effect on the environment.Another problem we often encountered during the year is the declining interest in technology and science.
Gångvägsljus :
Discussing light and lighting in the night-time environment of Tensta, a Stockholm suburb built between 1962 and 1970, this thesis suggests that lighting should be designed for the outdoor environment as a whole. The feeling of safety and human perception are important components in this thesis.
Starting with some comments on visual perception and how we adapt our sight to an interval of the visual input we get, makes it possible to understand that more light sometimes hides, rather than reveals, things. Amongst the dispersed houses, in the green parks of Tensta, this turns the pedestrian roads, lit by pole-top-mounted fixtures, into light tunnels in a dark surrounding.
Talking about the feeling of safety I am inspired by, amongst others K. Lynch, B. Hjort and J.
Effektivisering av miljöcertifieringsprocessen med hjälp av BIM
Syfte ?

One environment from the 1960?s that has not been protected is Televerket in Farsta, Stockholm. The facility has been classified as worthy of preservation by Stockholm City Museum and has received the Kasper Salin Prize.
