The public library is an institution that throughout history has been associated with anumber of social codes, that seem to be deeply rooted in the minds of the public. Thesecodes regulates how users act and interact in the library environment and as a library useryou have to obtain knowledge about these social codes.This master's thesis aims at studying how these codes are transferred to children in the earlyschool-age, how children react to the social codes and what effects they have on thechildren's development into library users.The empirical material used in this study consists of observations and interviews. Theobservations are conducted during two school classes visits to a public library and focuseson the interaction between librarians, the children and their teachers, and the interviewswere conducted with the two librarians responsible for the library visits.The theories used in this master's thesis consists of symbolic interactionism, in the form oftheories by George Herbert Mead and Erving Goffman, Peter L. Berger and ThomasLuckmanns theories regarding the concept of institutions. Another theory that's used in thismaster's thesis is the one concerning the social aspects of information literacy focusing onthe concept of epistemic communities as presented by Kimmo Tuominen, Reijo Savolainenand Sanna Talja.The result of this study is that the social codes are communicated to the children primarilyby the teachers rather than the librarians.

Entreprenörskap bidrar till utveckling och är en förutsättning för företagande. Förutsättningarna för organisationer är också ständigt i förändring, vilket gör det intressant att studera entreprenörskap och dess kontextuella omständigheter. Studier inom entreprenörskap har till stor del fokuserat på den enskilda entreprenören och inte på entreprenörskapet som en process i sin omgivning. Det gör att en helhetsbild går förlorad. Att beskriva den KRAV-anslutna ekonomiska föreningen Jord på trynets uppstart är intressant för förståelsen för hur och varför en producentförening bildas. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur kontexten interagerar med den entreprenöriella processen.

I denna jämförelsestudie avseende infrastruktur (åtgärdskod 125) har framförallt Länsstyrelsernas genomförande av Landsbygdsprogrammet 2007-2013 analyserats. Speciell inriktning har gjorts mot Länsstyrelsernas genomförandestrategier och prioriteringar, handläggning, beviljade ärenden och belopp, budget och utnyttjandegrad, begränsningar i stöd per ärende samt avslagna ärenden. I jämförelsen har det genomförts intervjuer med samtliga Länsstyrelser, förutom Uppsala län.Landsbygdsprogrammet är till lika delar finansierat av EU och Sverige och möjligör, inom åtgärdskod 125, ekonomiskt stöd till flertalet insatser där det exempelvis finns brist på kunskap, samverkan eller pengar. Stödet syftar till att förbättra konkurrenskraften inom jord- och skogsbrukssektorn samt rennäringen. Stöd lämnas till maximalt 50 procent av de stödberättigade kostnaderna för ett projekt.

Smålands museum, the museum of Småland, is a museum for the county of Kronoberg, a mission given to the museum by the state and county council. The main fields of the museum are the cultural heritage and the history of culture of the region. The museum of Småland is also the Swedish museum of glass. This Master s thesis focuses on the information requirements of the employees at the museum of Småland. Because of the financial status of the museum, the librarian that worked at the museum had to quit about four years ago.

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur fyra vägledare i Malmö ser på gruppvägledning, gällande lämpliga deltagare och gruppvägledningens syfte, vidare är syftet att jämföra gruppsamtalet med det individuella samtalet genom de intervjuades ögon. Problemformuleringarna som används till arbetet är följande: ? Hur uppfattar vägledarna gruppvägledning med eleverna i niondeklass inför gymnasievalet? ? Vilka faktorer uppger vägledarna som viktiga i gruppsamtalet gällande dess syfte? ? Hur uppfattar vägledarna det enskilda samtalet i förhållande till gruppsamtalet? Huvudteorin som används är Baumans teori om den individualiserade människan, teorin valdes på grund av att efter att allt material insamlats gjordes bedömningen att det var den teorin som passade bäst. Enligt Baumans teori blir människan mer och mer individualiserad och detta inverkar på personens förmåga att kunna samverka med andra individer. Från början var arbetet tänkt att vara en kvantitativ enkätundersökning, då svarsfrekvensen för enkäten var för låg för att basera ett arbete på, så bestämde jag istället mig för att göra en kvalitativ studie där fyra vägledare på olika grundskolor i Malmö intervjuas gällande sina erfarenheter av gruppvägledning.

Today, "the digital library" is the common way of describing a managed collection of information, with associated services, stored in digital formats and accessible over a network. Digital libraries have mainly been developed at research libraries, but during the last few years public libraries have started to offer similar services.The aim of this Master's thesis is to study how the Swedish public libraries plan to develop their digital libraries according to their mission statements, and in what way they have implemented them at their web sites. 21 public libraries, the largest in each Swedish county, were investigated.The library mission statements are investigated to find out in what terms the digital libraries are described and to what extent. The library websites are examined with respect to what kind of digital services are offered, to what extent they supplement or replace the physical library, and if there are new digital services not found in the physical library.In most mission statements the digital library is referred to in sweeping terms like "IT activities" and "new media". However, a few of the libraries clearly regard the digital library as an important part of the future operations, speaking of it in well defined and extensive terms.The public library websites are relatively homogeneous when it comes to services supplementing physical library activities, like web access to the library catalogue and links to other library catalogues.

Psykosrelaterade diagnoser är de mest förekommande diagnoserna bland rättspsykiatriskt vårdade patienter inom den rättspsykiatriska vården. Dessa patienter riskbedöms för framtida våld och i vården ingår riskhanteringsarbete, vilket sker innan patienterna skrivs ut eller överförs till annan vårdform. Syftet med studien var att beskriva dömda rättspsykiatriska patienter med psykosrelaterade diagnoser, vilka lämnat den slutna rättspsykiatriska vården vid Rättspsykiatriska regionkliniken i Sundsvall mellan åren 2005-2010. Beskrivningen fokuserades på patienternas riskbedömning för våld med HCR-20, vart patienterna hade skrivits ut eller hade överförts samt deras nya lagföringar. Patienter med och utan psykosrelaterad diagnos jämfördes med varandra.

Information is essential in order for pharmaceutical companies to be successful. This essay focuses on the information provision of pre-clinical scientists at AstraZeneca R&D Lund, and the role of the company library in this process. In semi-structured interviews, four pre-clinical scientists were asked to describe their information provision regarding what type of information they need, how they find it and what sources of information they use. Four librarians from the company library were also interviewed to give their perspective on the information provision of pre-clinical scientist. The study also aimed at comparing the image of the process as described by the scientists themselves and the librarians.

Title: Development and continuity: A new institutional case study of a Danish public library in changeAbstract: The purpose of this master's thesis is to discuss and analyse the relationship between the traditional core values belonging to the institution of the public library, and the development work that takes place at the institution. The thesis also investigates the relationships that influence the development work.By investigating a library that is considered progressive in its development work, our purpose is also to unveil alternative values that compete with the traditional core values. By illustrating the perception among seven staff members and the director at Aarhus Public Libraries, we want to illuminate the terms for development among public libraries. In addition to our interviews, an activity plan is studied.We base our study on new institutional theory which focuses on norms and values in an organisation. This focus helps us to understand the development work from a comprehensive view.Our study shows that the development work at Aarhus Public Libraries is taking place in a complex environment that consists of several different actors and different interpretationsof the traditional core values of public libraries.

Studiens syfte är att synliggöra fritidspedagogers funktion i skolan. Vilka arbetsuppgifter får de? Hur de upplever att deras kompetens tas till vara? Påverkar deras utbildning vilka arbetsuppgifter de får? Studien har genomförts med både kvantitativa och kvalitativa metoder. Vi har insamlat våra data genom enkäter med fyra öppna frågor. Enkäterna har analyserats med meningskategoriserings- och ad hoc metoden.

The aim of this master thesis is to gain greater knowledge of interpersonal communication. This study explores on one hand how interpersonal communication can be used as an important part of reference work in a Swedish electronic synchronous reference service, and on the other how interpersonal communication affects the relationship between user and librarian. By using communication theory and establishing a positive relational contact with the user in the electronic environment, the outcome of the reference encounter can be successful for both the librarian and the user. Furthermore, the importance of recognising relational barriers is of great relevance to the relational contact. The scope of this master thesis is to find what relational factors are used and can be used in the interaction between user and librarian.

De svenska elevernas matematikresultat blir sämre år efter år, samtidigt som det enskilda arbetet blir mer och mer dominerande i undervisningen.I detta arbete presenteras åtta metoder som kan användas och som dessutom utvecklar olika matematiska kompetenser. Dessa metoder är bland andra grupparbeten, frontalundervisning, problemlösning och undervisning utomhus.För att nå så många elever som möjligt visar detta arbete hur viktigt det är att läraren varierar undervisningen och blandar de olika metoderna för att eleverna ska lyckas med matematiken..

SAMMANFATTNINGUnder kursen Estetiskt lärande har en ständig frågeställning varit: Hur kan man arbeta med estetiska ämnen och samtidigt kombinera dem med ett annat?Jag har gjort ett examensarbete i två delar, den första är en litteraturstudie där olika författares teorier om drama och amatörteater tas upp. Den andra är en undersökning av amatörteatrars bevarade material från Folkrörelsernas arkiv.Mina frågor i arbetet är:1. Till vilken nytta har elever och lärare i drama om kunskap i amatörteaterhistoria?2.

Syftet med detta arbete är att ta reda på hur killar i åldrarna 11 och 14 ser på sig själva och sin psykosociala utveckling. Vad påverkar killars syn på sig själva i sin psykosociala utveckling i åldrarna 11- och 14 år? Har killar i dessa åldrar behov av samtal om sin psykosociala utveckling? Genom enskilda intervjuer fick killarna berätta om sina personliga upplevelser och erfarenheter. Resultatet visar att familjen och främst mamman är viktig för killarna. The potential of information technology as a means to invigorate democratic practise is constantly under discussion. Regardless of the differing opinions as to the most suitable way to utilise IT, there are certain democratic core values that have to be considered. One of these is freedom of information, defined by us as the right of every citizen to seek, obtain and express information. The aim of this study is to explore whether the use of IT as a means to enhance democracy can strengthen the citizens right to freedom of information. As an instrument for analysis we use an article by Jan van Dijk, professor of communication science.
