Investigating the importance of music creation in high school?s aesthetic program). Syfte med denna studie är att undersöka vilken betydelse musicerandet har i elevernas musikaliska utveckling.

The aim in this project was to spread play in the city and acrossgenerations. My way of approaching this challenge was to explore theborderland between playground equipment and street furniture. Thisopened up many possibilities to afford play in places where playgroundequipment often is excluded.The goal was to create one, or more, furniture with play value. The targetgroup was all vivasious people spending time in the public outdoorspace. Through user studies, a lot of serious playing and a lot of testing,the project resulted in a bench called Rollin´.

My aim in this case study has been to create a method for creature design to test this method in a production and evaluate the results. To achieve this I studied and analyzed the methods of three concept artists and illustrators named James Gurney, Neville Page and Iain McCaig. From the analysis of these artist´s methods, combined with my own personal experience, a new method was formed. To test this method a creature was designed based on directives given by a game design group in the process of creating a table top role playing game in a fictitious world. These directives where given for the creature´s role and its living conditions.

Denna uppsats har till syfte att undersöka om det är möjligt att som pedagog tälja leksaker i en barngrupp medan barnen leker. Undersökningen har även inriktats mot om det egna förhållningssättet till själva utförandet av att tälja leksaker, kan ha inverkan på barnens lek. En frågeställning har då varit om leksakers utformning har betydelse för barns fantasiutveckling. Den egna utvecklingen av gestaltningsförmågan har också observerats. En kvalitativ forskningsmetod har legat till grund för undersökningen som kan jämföras med en aktionsstudie.

Examensarbetet undersöker vilken stereoteknik som uppfattas ge den mest verklighetstrogna återgivningen av konstmusik samt om valet av stereoteknik påverkas av ljudteknisk eller konstmusikalisk bakgrund. Undersökningen gjordes i form av ett lyssningstest där deltagare i tre grupper fick, efter att ha lyssnat till en konstmusikalisk ensemble live i en konsertlokal, lyssna till tio olika inspelningar av samma stycke vars enda skillnad var vilken stereoteknik som använts vid inspelningen. Deltagarna ombads att gradera hur väl inspelningarna speglade verkligheten samt rangordna dem efter vilka de ansåg låta bäst oavsett hur trogna verkligheten de var.Studiens resultat visar på att konstmusikalisk och ljudteknisk bakgrund påverkar valet av vilken stereoteknik man föredrar och vilken man tycker låter mest likt den verkliga upplevelsen av musiken live. Av resultatet kan man också utläsa att personer inte konsekvent anser att de inspelningar som låter mest verklighetstroget är den man anser låter bäst..

Studien har som syfte att öka kunskapen och förståelsen om vilken potential professionell gestaltning har i ett socialt förändringsarbete. I studien använder jag mig av en kvalitativ metod då jag intervjuar tre skådespelare från en teaterensemble och genomför en fokusgrupp med socialarbetare. Bearbetning och analys har skett enligt organisationsteori och nyinstitutionell teori. Samspelet inom och mellan de olika grupperna har jag tolkat utifrån den symboliska interaktionistiska teorin.Studien har kommit fram till att socialarbetarna är positiva till de arbetsmetoder som teaterensemblen använder sig av i sin gestaltning. De menar att det sociala arbetet skulle kunna ha hjälp av dessa metoder.

The purpose of my study is to examine if the total study results differ between music classes and regular classes. Are there higher grades in music classes? If so, what are the causes for this? I chose to make an inquiry at two schools in different town districts, with music classes. At those schools I also collected data of pupils grades, and was informed by the principals and the music teachers about the activities. The number of respondents were ninety.The inquiry showed that the grades were markedly better in music classes, and that you can see great differences in well-being, parental engagement and ambition level, compared to regular classes.

This candidate essay is built on literature studies and discusses the meaning of the residential yard along with what you, as a landscape architect, should think about when you are designing functional residential yards. To do this I found it necessary to figure out what it is that makes people step outside their own apartment and out into the city?s public places. The reasons for this are numerous and many times individually affected. Something that plays a role in people?s outdoor life and prevents them from spending time outside is the lack of time, the technique of today and the feeling off insecurity.

During the 1994 Italian elections many things were new for the voters. A new election system, new parties emerging where old traditional ones were dying out because of long ongoing corruption scandals that were coming up to the surface. In all this one man, Silvio Berlusconi, a famous Italian businessman, stepped in and with his two allied parties Lega Nord and Alleanza Nazionale he swept away the nation in a never before seen election campaign. Many things have been said about the motifs and the way he prosecuted the election campaign for the Forza Italia. But what I try to see for this thesis is the awereness in the Italian print media from this particular period - how and if the debate about an in just electoral campaign existed in the country from the date Silvio Berlusconi entered ?the playing field? as he called it and up to the days of election..

The purpose of my study is to investigate teachers? opinions about learning difficulties in mathematics.I have read relevant literature on this subject. I have conducted interviews with seven class teachers, one special-needs teacher, a psychologist and one special-needs teachers who specifically worked with investigations concerning pupils with difficulties in mathematics.The result of my study shows that learning difficulties in mathematics can/might be prevented if children in pre-school are introduced to mathematics as early as possible. This should be done in a delightful way in their daily activities and while there are playing. I didn?t find any complete method to help children with mathematics difficulties in compulsory school.

In today?s society, it becomes more common with tablets, that makes us interact with computers in a whole new way. For example these are used to read and write e-mails, surf the web and playing games. Another manner of use of these tablets is to read and edit PDF documents. PDF handling is often meant to be used in books and inregular text documents, but it could also be used in the management of drawings.An industry that would benefit greatly from the use of tablets for this purpose is the con- struction industry.

Syftet med mitt arbete är att sätta fingret på vilka byggstenar och aspekter som i en ensemble frambringar ett så kallat sväng.Jag har intervjuat ett antal välkända, idag verksamma, jazzmusiker för att få ta del av deras bild av begreppet sväng och vilka byggstenar de anser vara nödvändiga för att uppnå detta. Jag har därefter presenterat dessa intervjusvar i en utvald jazztrio där jag själv ingår som basist. Trion har under fyra veckors tid repeterat ett antal låtar som spelats in vid varje repetitionstillfälle. Trion har efter varje inspelning lyssnat, analyserat och diskuterat kring huruvida musiken svängt och kopplat ihop detta med intervjusvaren, vilka fungerat som en vägledning. Arbetet mynnade ut i en konsert där trion utökades till en kvartett med hjälp av den drivne jazzpianisten och hammondorganisten Kjell Öhman, som medverkar på två av de fyra inspelningar som dokumenterats under arbetets gång.Jag har tillsammans med trion analyserat skillnaderna mellan de fyra inspelningarna huruvida vi förhållit oss till en fjärde musiker och utvecklas under dessa fyra veckor.Genom inspelningar, intervjuer och diskussioner har jag kommit fram till att timing, melodiskt samspel, lyhördhet och framför allt ödmjukhet, är några av de viktigaste byggstenar som utgör grunden till vårt eftersträvansvärda sväng.

The study aims to contribute knowledge about children's perceptions of the leisure-time as a learning environment. The study can be seen as an attempt to highlight the possible learning in the leisure-time, formally or informally.The study is based on two group interviews with a total of 11 children and was conducted by an interview guide with question areas to be discussed freely so that the children could give as full an answer as possible.Main results of the study show that children feel that they are staying at the leisure-time to get care when their parents are working and that they primarily associate the leisure-time with playing. The results show however that children feel that they learn things when participating in the leisure-time teaches controlled activities.It is possible to draw conclusions about the child actually experienced the leisure-time as a learning environment, but it can be difficult to identify when and how learning actually occurs. However, children do not perceive that there is learning while they play..

Arbetet ifrågasätter hur torg ser ut och används idag. Detvisar på och diskuterar hur torg skulle kunna se ut ochanvändas i framtiden. Torget representerar ett exempel påen plats och ett rum i staden, vilket också fungerar somavgränsning för arbetet. För att nå fram till målet av arbetet genomfördes en litteraturstudie, samtal med bland annat gestaltare av och i det off entliga rummet, samt analyser av exempelplatser. Litteraturstudien fokuserade på ?torget i staden?och ?människan i stadsrummet?.
