Vid projektering idag ställs konstruktören ofta inför valet att projektera för antingen ventilation med konstanta flöden, eller med variabla flöden. Vidare kan även flödena varieras manuellt eller automatiskt. Det konstruktören måste ta hänsyn till är investeringskostnaden, men även potentiella energi- samt kostnadsbesparingar över tid. Många gånger är det svårt att veta hur energianvändningen påverkas av de olika systemvalen varför det är svårt att välja det mest optimala systemet.Detta arbete undersöker livscykelkostnaden, LCC, med nuvärdeskostnaden på en skola i Uppsala med tre olika system, antingen konstant ventilationsflöde, CAV med timer, manuellt styrd variabel ventilation, VAV, eller automatisk VAV med styrning på temperatur och CO2. Huvudanledningen till det är att skolor består av en mängd olika klassrum och lokaler som inte alltid används under skoltiden, risken finns alltså att skolan överventileras med ett traditionellt CAV.

The care for the elderly in the municipalities has recently seen the need for a formalized system for quality assurance. Under increasing demands for monetary efficiency while bound by law to retain acceptable standards in health care, there is need for efficient and at the same time quality-assured management. The municipalities often solve this puzzle by introducing systems and standards influenced by theory-clusters such as NPM (New Public Management), TQM (Total Quality Management) or other quality management theories.This essay focuses on how the public administration in the municipalities defines quality and designs and implements system for formalized quality assurance. Our basic view of organizations is institutionalist and our theoretical framework includes theories about quality, NPM and TQM..

The impact of the distribution in the soil volume of two farm manures on the net mineralization and immobilization processes of nitrogen were studied in an incubation experiment. Cattle slurry and broiler litter were placed in the soil with three procedures for incorporation including placement on top of the soil (TOP), in the middle of the soil (MID) and mixed homogenously with the soil (MIX). During the two weeks of incubation, few significant differences in net mineralization were seen between TOP, MID and MIX. However, there was a tendency that MIX led to a larger net immobilization of N than placement at one point (TOP and MID). This is also the result in the literature.

I och med de ökade hoten från klimatförändringar har fler städer börjat arbeta med att minska sin påverkan på klimatet. Ett exempel på det är attsträva efter koldioxidneutralitet. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka vad som städer framställer som problem i arbetet med att uppnåkoldioxidneutralitet. Utifrån framing och Bacchis (1999) analysverktyg om problemframställningar samt tidigare forskning om städersklimatarbete, har de tre städerna Linköping, Köpenhamn och Melbourne undersökts. Dokument om städernas arbete med koldioxidneutralitet haranalyserats genom kvalitativ textanalys.

 Lantmännen i Holmsund tillverkar pelleterat djurfoder till gris, nöt, ren och höns. På fabriken finns tre stycken presslinjer som pressar råvarorna till pellets. Vid tillverkning av pellets blandas råvarorna med ånga som håller ca 75-78°C. Ångan gör att pelletsen blir varm och fuktig efter tillverkningen. För att pelletsen ska kunna hålla en god kvalité vid transport och förvaring torkas denna med luft i pelletskylar.

This thesis has been written with our society?s current energy-situation in mind.Although it only deals with one particular block of buildings, the solutions and suggestions presented herein are quite applicable on other objects of the same type.This thesis is intended to be used as a guideline for energy-preserving projects in general, with an eye to buildings erected during the Swedish ?million-programme? in the sixties and seventies.The paper starts with the acquiring of all necessary blueprints and technical specifications. It then moves on to a thorough description of the buildings in question, and their heating- and ventilation-systems.Followed by this the reader is guided through the successive stages of energy-perseverance measures that are available, and possible. Reasoning around the economic factors concerning all measures is also held.The paper ends with conclusion, and a discussion concerning the delicate issue of the higher return-temperatures possibly reaching the district-heating plant..

This case study has its starting point in an unpublished study where the results showed that there is a conflict between the leadership and the employees in a private company. The conflict is identified as a result of the company leadership is steering for cost savings and efficiency The aim of this study is through analysis of  the open questions in a quantitative survey describe how the staffs  attitudes and culture is affecting the leadership of the organization. The ideological aspect is very clear and through the aspect of the structural differences between the public and private sector makes it possible to identify the staff?s social rules, ideology and group norms.  These are shown to be in conflict with the economical perspective of the private sector.

Lean has been studied intensely since the 1980s and it has been tested and successfully implemented in a wide variety of businesses. This thesis aims to examine the potential effects of a Lean implementation on meeting efficiency, a topic that has gotten little attention in the research community. First, a number of meeting problems are introduced, as they are perceived from the company that is the subject of the study. Second, the potential of introducing Lean in a meeting process is evaluated using the Lean Thinking principles. Third, the wastes that are generated from the meeting problems are identified.

In this thesis I have investigated four housing corporation?s information about garbage disposal for their tenants (primarily immigrants who just arrived to Sweden).   Interviews with renters, employees of the housing corporations and employees of Eskilstuna Energi och Miljö indicates that the garbage information need to be improved to be better adapted to the target group.    To solve this information problem I decided to create an information chart, consisting of illustrations and legible text which informs the renters of how and, above all why it is important to recycle.   The aim of the project is also to increase the renters? commitment and motivation in recycling and also; make the housing corporations, other organizations and authorities aware of how important it is to adapt information to different kind of groups. På dagens fönsterglasmarknad har produkter med samma funktioner och utseende fått olika namn. Detta är förvirrande och gör det svårt för en person som ska beställa fönsterglas att jämföra olika tillverkares produkter med varandra. Rapporten är tänkt som en översikt på de olika fönsterglasen som finns på marknaden idag och även på sådant som kan bli aktuellt i framtiden. Den berör också sådant som kan vara av värde att veta vid användning av fönsterglas. Målgruppen är alla som kan tänkas ha intresse i ämnet - alltifrån hobbybyggaren till fackmän i byggbranschen.

Gastric ulcer is a common disease among pigs in the whole world where an intensiveproduction occurs. It is mainly the upper region, the nonglandular region of the stomach thatis affected. Gastric ulceration is a disease with several risk factors. The factor that seems tohave the largest impact on the development of gastric ulceration is a small particle size of thefeed. The reported prevalence of gastric ulceration differs from 5 to 100 % and it is a largeherd-to-herd variation.

Jag har valt att i detta master 2 examensarbete inom Inredningsarkitektur och Möbeldesign arbeta med lägenheter i ett planerat flerfamiljshus. Som blivande Inredningsarkitekt (IA) vill jag ta ett kliv tillbaka, betrakta och analysera vad det är som är viktigt för ett hem och vår totala miljö. Med total miljö menar jag psykisk miljö och fysisk miljö.Genom att studera rum och deras funktioner utifrån olika behov, hoppas jag finna nya innovativa lösningar, samt möjligheten att reducera energiförbrukningen i hemmiljö.Områden som berörs och flätas samman i mitt examensarbete är: bättre förutsättning att odla grönska, ökad återvinning, reducerad värmeförbrukning, alternativ till uppvärmning, miljövänlig energi samt psykologiska mervärden i lägenhetens plan som kräver problemlösning och upptäckarglädje. Vindkraften expanderar allt mer i Sverige och årsproduktionen ökade till 6,1 TWh år 2011, vilket är en ökning med 74 % jämfört med 2010.De nya vindkraftverken som sätts upp idag är oftast av effektstorlekarna 2 000 ? 3 000 kW. De som restes tidigare är omkring 200 ? 600 kW. I Sverige finns det många vindkraftverk som har varit i drift under en längre tid, och det är flera som passerat sin tekniska livslängd på 20 år.
