BAKGRUND: HIV (Humant Immunbrist Virus) är en infektion som är spridd över hela världen. År 1981 då HIV beskrevs för första gången associerades smittan med homosexualitet och bisexualitet bland män samt intravenöst missbruk. Trots mer kunskap om hur viruset sprids förekommer fördomar och diskriminering av patienter med HIV från både allmänheten och vårdpersonalen. Tidigare forskning visar att det finns en ovilja bland vårdpersonal att vårda patienter med HIV. SYFTE: Studiens syfte var att beskriva HIV-patienters upplevelser av mötet med vårdpersonal.

Mötet mellan sjuksköterskan och närstående har en betydande roll i omvårdnaden, inte minst i ett prehospitalt skede. Sjuksköterskan inom ambulanssjukvården får i komplicerade situationer möta chockade närstående till patienter med hjärtstopp. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva sjuksköterskans erfarenheter av mötet med närstående till patienter med hjärtstopp inom den prehospitala sjukvården.Datainsamlingen har skett genom intervjuer med åtta sjuksköterskor inom ambulanssjukvården. Informanterna har berättat om möten de haft med närstående till patienter med hjärtstopp. Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades.

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskors bemötande påverkar patienternas välmående och i slutändan hälsa. Påakutmottagningar där tempot är högt och besluten snabba är det extra viktigt att ha med sig tanken om detgoda bemötandet. HSL, Socialstyrelsen och ICN:s etiska kod för sjuksköterskor tar alla upp olika aspekter avbemötande. Bemötandet är lika viktigt som vården för patienterna, men idag är det klagomål på bemötandetsom står för flest anmälningar till patientombudsmannen. Syfte: Syftet med arbetet var att beskriva patientersförväntningar på sjuksköterskor på akutmottagningar samt att belysa i vilken mån sjuksköterskorna leverupp till dessa förväntningar idag.

In today?s society there is an ongoing debate concerning gender distribution amongst the top executives and there is a clear distinction between the men and women in leading positions. The reason for this can be because men and women to a certain degree conduct leadership differently. It is said that men are more focused on task oriented leadership while women seem to focus on a relation oriented and more interactive leadership. A leader?s success could be due to his or her ability to set up and use a network.

This thesis focuses on immigrant fathers and the specific situation they face arriving in Sweden. The purpose of this study is to examine various systemic obstacles and eventual possibilities these fathers may Encounter in the new country and how they affect their fatherhood. The paper is based on four interviews, with three men and one woman, who work with immigrant fathers partly in parenting educational programs. The informants? professional background varies.

Purpose: The purpose of the study reported in this thesis is to addto the knowledge concerning what public librarians do to meet theneeds of unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors, thereby helpingthem to develop and establish themselves in a new environment.What tasks, activities and tools do the librarians have at theirdisposal? What problems do they Encounter? What values, normsand attitudes guide their work? Method: The thoughts andexperiences of six public librarians have been captured throughqualitative semi-structured interviews, the result of which has beenthematically analysed using notions of social capital and socialexclusion. Findings: Unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors facea number of challenges which the public library with its librarians,collections and various activities can assist in coping with byproviding the children with opportunities to increase their socialcapital and decrease the risk of social exclusion. Researchlimitations: It has for several reasons proven difficult to studyunaccompanied asylum-seeking children as a distinct group, whichis why this study also uses material that deals with refugees as awhole. A significant amount of the latter are undeniablyunaccompanied minors, an especially exposed and vulnerable typeof refugees.

Background: During a house demonstration a real estate agent have the chance to make new contacts which is of big importance to spread the word about the agency and keep up with the competition. If the realtor makes a good impression on the customers, it increases the chance for making the customers return to the same realtor when time comes to sell their own house. The interpretation of this non-verbal communication has been shown to have a fundamental effect on the participant?s perception of the Encounter. This makes the study aim regards investigating which non-verbal signals a real estate agent express.Purpose: This study has a two-parted purpose whereas the first part intends to point out similarities and differences in a realtor?s non-verbal communication.

My problem comes out of the bigger question ?why the Catholic church is featured in horror films whenever a religious organization is in one?? I have detected in the horror films that I've seen that when a religious organization is in a horror movie it's the Catholic church that gets to act as church and religion. I have chosen the following problem: How is the Catholic church presented in the horror movies The Exorcist and The Rite, and how can one understand these presentations from a role theoretic perspective?Since role theory has it's background in the world of the theater with it's actors and roles, it came naturally to use role theory, and specifically Goffmans dramatic model. I've used this model in a film analysis of the movies.

This study is aimed at finding out how nursery and pre-school teachers carry out their obligation to report suspected child abuse, and their views on the issue. The study was alsoa imed at highlighting any difficulties teachers might have when dealing with children who arem istreated. In addition, the study examines the impact on teachers and children when thet eachers decide to either report or not report abuse.The main issues addressed by this study are:  Are pre-school and nursery teachers aware of their duty to report suspected child abuse and what are their opinions regarding this duty?How do the teachers claim they behave if obliged to report and what difficulties dothey Encounter?In order to find the answer to these questions, qualitative interviews were made with eight pre-school teachers. The empirical evidence has been put in relation to theories of action and communication as well as to previous research in the area that concerns children who are mistreated.

The aim for this master thesis is to create an understanding of the intersubjective processes of how individuals are experimenting with their identities in social media and the consequences for the identity and embodiment. The thesis is completed with the help of discourse analysis and a starting point in four complementary theories. Central to the implementation of the analysis is the concept of diffraction. Therefore the thesis is, which is reflected in the choice of theoretical approaches and methods, critical to many aspects of classical philosophy of science and method. The empirical material is based on interviews.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur ungdomar med självskadebeteende upplever bemötandet från vårdpersonalen. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt där sju kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar samt en kvantitativ vetenskaplig artikel användes. Datainsamlingen gjordes i databaserna PubMed, Psyc INFO och CINAHL Resultat: Resultatet av denna studie visade på att de flesta av ungdomarna med självskadebeteende inte sökte vård då de antingen var rädda för att förvärra sina problem eller för att de inte visste vart de skulle vända sig. De valde att i första hand söka hjälp hos sina vänner. Resultatet visade på tre kategorier.

Cannibalism can have major influence on fish population dynamics. A prerequisite for cannibalism is that the cannibal and the potential victim meet, and besides density effects, the Encounter rate between cannibals and their victims is therefore also largely dependent on habitat use and habitat heterogeneity. In this study I quantified and compared the potential for cannibalism in stream-dwelling European grayling populations in three rivers in Jämtland by means of habitat classifications. I also analyzed population dynamic consequences of varying the potential for cannibalism in terms of intensity, using a physiological structured population model. Findings based on habitat characteristics were that the potential for cannibalism is in general not favourable in these types of streams.

AbstractBackground: The factors goals, emotions and motivation are nowadays well researched. Studies that shows the interaction between these three factors does exist, but in a small amount. In all different jobs people Encounter these factors, no matter what you?re working with, some experience them daily and others only sometimes.Purpose: We want to study the significance of the interaction between goals and emotions among employees in the construction business, when leaders are about to motivate their employees.Implementation: To succeed with our study and achieve the purpose, we chose to do a qualitative research. We have conducted four visiting interviews and one telephone interview, with both leaders and employees in the construction business.Results: We have through our study found out that the interaction between goals, emotions and motivation are important in the work of construction, even if it?s not something everyone thinks about.

Arbetets ansats är öka förståelsen för vad svenska ungdomar möter när de råkat ut för en allvarlig händelse och söker professionell hjälp. Arbetet berör juridisk bakgrund, det sociala arbetets organisation och närvarande faktorer i mötet mellan socialarbetare och klient. Vidare berörs hur individen påverkas av att möta socialarbetare utifrån symbolisk interaktionism och stämplingsteorin. Genom en enkätundersökning undersöks hur stor svenska ungdomars kännedom om tystnadsplikt och anmälningsplikt är och om det finns könsskillnader i denna medvetenhet. Enkätundersökningen utgår framförallt ifrån svensk stad med cirka 30.000 invånare i kommunen.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how social workers, working in a management position in the health care system, perceive the Encounter of the medical and social perspective. With seven qualitative interviews, the study tries to conclude whether or not social workers are accepted at managerial positions within the health care sector. The social worker is, as a manager in health care, a leader but at the same time in a professional alienation from the medical caregivers. Organizations in the health care sector are often multi professional and have their own long standing tradition, history and culture. The results show that the conditions for social workers, working in a management position in health care appear to be agreeable.
