Hur ser arbetsgivare på folkbibliotek på nyutexaminerade biblioteks- och informationsvetares kompetens? En kvalitativ enkätstudie av uppfattningar om kvalifikationskrav.

The purpose of this Master thesis is to examine what knowledge and competence Employers at public libraries apprehend that recent graduates of library and information science (LIS) have. Our aim is also to see how these qualifications can be categorized and understood. Finally, we try to picture the Employers? apprehensions of the education received at LIS.As a method of gathering material for the analysis, we sent qualitative inquires with open questions to Employers at public libraries in Sweden.

Det korrigerande samtalet : -ett samtal för tillfällig förbättring eller varaktig förändring?

At the workplace, different types of discussions take place, where Employers meet members of staff. Some of these discussions take the form of an employer correcting a member of staff; that is the employer wanting the member of staff to change his/her behaviour. The correcting discussion has a very important role within labour legislation as it is often this measure that the employer takes to bring about change. If this does not happen then more severe disciplinary measures like a warning or giving notice will be necessary. This paper is about the employer's role in the corrective discussion. How an employer can work with the corrective discussion but also what effects can be experienced due to the discussion. To understand how an employer experiences the corrective discussion, 98 Employers within a municipality have received a web questionnaire via the computer program Esmaker. Of these Employers 68 answered the questions, which is a response of barely 70%.

When recruiting, what expectations does the employer have of graduate social workers? Bibliotekariens nya arbetsmarknad

The purpose of this thesis is to examine why graduates in librarian- and information science are employed by private companies. An initial explanation could be the influence of information technology and its impact on the librarian. A second factor relates to how Employers regard the librarian outside the confines of the traditional labour market. The study is primarily based upon qualitative interviews with representatives of Swedish companies who have employed librarians since 1993, the year that the education achieved third level academic recognition. Theoretically we relied upon Manuel Castells discussion on the rise of the information society and its influence on companies and the labour market.

Värvningsförbud av anställda och konkurrensbegränsande samarbeten

This thesis focuses on Employers? use of non-?solicitation of employees in commercial contracts within the union?s internal market and how this can result in restrictive practices in violation of European law. Using legal method, legal economic considerations, and guidance from modern American legal development in antitrust law, this thesis is aiming to investigate how this kind of anticompetitive cooperation in the European labor market should be assessed. The result seems to be that despite a distinct and pronounced restrictive approach to the application of EU competition rules in the labor market, there are strong incentives and not any legal impediment to apply Article 101 TFEU on no cold call agreements between Employers. .

Arbetsgivarens skyldigheter att förebygga psykosocial ohälsa : Emperisk studie vid Karlstads universitet

In the society of today more and more employees are reported sick due to illness caused by their place of work. A lot of employees are stressed in their daily work and because of that they get mentally exhausted. These common occurrences are a part of the psycho-social work environment and it is the Employers responsibility to avoid them. To rehabilitate an employee is often very expensive and takes a lot of time. Focusing on preventing illness in the work environment, instead of repair when illness is a fact, is an advantage both for the Employers and the employees. The purpose with this essay is to illuminate the responsibility that the Employers have to prevent psycho-social illness in the work environment.

Funktionsnedsatta personers förutsättningar på arbetsmarknaden : En studie om exkluderande och inkluderande processer och faktorer

This qualitative study investigates the conditions on the labour market for disabled people by examining which factors and processes contribute to disabled peoples inclusion to, or exclusion from the open labour market. Stigmatisation is also used as an analytical tool to better understand the exclusion of disabled people from the open labour market. The material to this study is drawn from qualitative interviews with the employees of the Swedish Employment Agency which specialises in supporting disabled people to find employment.  In conclusion, disabled people face several barriers which makes them more susceptible to become excluded from the open labour market. Such excluding barriers include a demand for high efficiency and productivity from Employers, bigger cooperation?s and public organisations unwillingness to employ disabled people and prejudices from Employers, especially against people with psychiatric disabilities. The employees of the Swedish Employment Agency suggest that they would be able to work more efficiently to help disabled people find employment if they had to do less administrative work, and would be able to work with fewer clients per employee.

Arbetsmiljö i stora mjölkkobesättningar :

Earlier studies have shown that musculoskeletal disorders among animal keepers are more frequent than in other occupations. Most of the farms have expanded and the farmers who used to work alone have suddenly become a work manager with several Employers. There are only a few studies made on the work environment in dairy farms. Our study is based on a questionnaire and is a part of a project called large dairy herds. The study is based on data from the persons who milk most of the time. The questions they had to answer were about the work environment, musculoskeletal disorders and the psychosocial environment. The results of the survey are presented in diagrams and figures. It was common that the dairy producer themselves answered the questionnaire.
