The purpose of this study is therefore to contribute to a greater understanding of the regulation regarding posted workers, their work environment and the consequences of it.

Background: Children are different and they live under different conditions, but one they have in common - the desire to play. Children's play is important for their health and wellbeing. The aim: was to highlight the knowledge and issues that preschool children's parents have about young children's health and wellbeing, with a focus on physical activity and play, to promote health. A further aim was to highlight the obstacles and opportunities that parents experience regarding physical activity for young children. In the constantly changing working life of today, where emphasis on human capital grows stronger, the importance of recruiting and retaining good staff increases. Successful recruitment requires a first-rate recruitment process. In literature on recruitment recommendations for successful recruitment are presented. The aim of this study is to describe similarities and differences between these recommendations and Svenska Spel?s recruitment practice on the basis of a description of the recruitment process at AB Svenska Spel, and also to identify possible reasons for differences between theory and practice. To meet the purpose of this study literature and scientific reports have been studied. Interviews with five HR-specialists and four managers have also been conducted. The recruitment process is therefore described out of the employer?s point of view.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how gender equality can be used in the workplace, its possible effects, and what collaboration can contribute to the subject of gender equality. A combination of legal sociological and legal dogmatic methodology has been used to examine the EU and Swedish law, how equality should be approached and what previous studies have concluded. An interview has been conducted to provide a clearer picture of how gender equality appears in practice, in the modern workplace. An equality plan should be conducted every three years and applies to employers who are responsible for more than 25 employees. The manual should include a description of the measures considered necessary in the workplace in order to promote gender equality. How an equality plan should be developed is not specifically outlined in the current law, and thus this is left up to the employer to determine.
Co-opetition - Rollkonflikter i gränsöverskridande arbetskontexter
This thesis revolves around co-opetition and boundary spanning activities with IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) as research case. The main objective is to through qualitative interviews and a passive observation of email conversations explore how the participants of IETF experience and is affected by a double membership where they sometimes are cooperating with their competitors. Theories states that boundary spanning activities can create role conflicts for these participants when different role-senders, IETF and the employer, send incompatible expectations. We also believe that this can have a negative impact on discussions and the standard development process, which is why we are conducting the passive observations mentioned above.The result shows that the environment of co-opetition is a contributing factor to role-conflicts. These conflicts appear when participants are forced to choose between the role as an employee and the role as an IETF participant.
Bildandet av naturreservat : uppföljning och klimatanpassning
AbstractWe are facing a century of rapid change in climate, with significant challenges in managing the impact of changes in living conditions for plants and animals. We can already see the responses of species through changes in phenology and spatial distribution, which may change ecosystem structure and function, with subsequent effect on ecosystem services and biological diversity. In Sweden, between 2005 and 2010, the red-listed species has increased by 13 % and similar trends can be seen across the world, making it difficult to attain national and international environmental objectives of preserving biodiversity. One way to reduce the loss of biodiversity is to protect nature from exploitation by allocating valuable areas as nature reserves, but climate change affects protected areas just as much as other landscapes and therefore requires elaborate systems of protection to facilitate species' survival. The paper has examined how the decisions and management plans for nature reserves in Sweden have been followed-up and whether they are climate adapted or not by examining 30 nature reserves, classified as newly formed (2012), recently revised (2009-2011) and older (1977-2007) reserves, and assessed what is in the decisions and management plans for follow-up, revision, long-term goals and documentation.
KLOCKAN BARA GÅR - DET MÅSTE FINNAS NÅ´T ANNAT. : brukarnas berättelse om Sjöliden
Syftet med föreliggande studie är att utifrån ett marknadsförings- och kommunikationsperspektiv beskriva och analysera hur olika parter inom fallföretaget Tekniska Verken uppfattar användandet av webbaserade sociala nätverk för att attrahera potentiell arbetskraft.Åtta intervjuer genomfördes, fyra med chefer och fyra med nyanställda, på Tekniska Verken. Utöver detta har en observation använts för att samla in data. Empirin har analyserats och resultatet diskuterats i relation till tidigare forskning inom kommunikation, marknadsföring och employer branding.Resultatet av föreliggande studie presenteras i följande sju kategorier; att skapa medvetande, ett professionellt förhållningssätt, vikten av att välja rätt kanaler, ett antal sätt att nå massan, tvätta bort den gråa stämpeln, två-vägs-kommunikation efterlyses samt kategorin rekyl. Den första kategorin beskriver respondenternas uppfattningar om Tekniska Verkens användande av webbaserade sociala nätverk för employer branding. Kategorierna ett professionellt förhållningssätt och vikten av att välja rätt kanaler innefattar förutsättningar för employer branding genom webbaserade sociala nätverk.
Vatten- och avloppssystem i klimatförändringarnas tidevarv : - en studie om VA-situationen i Karlstads kommun, dess sårbarheter och anpassningsförmåga
This report is about the impact climate change has on the water and sewage systems in general, and the situation in the municipality of Karlstad in particular. Which vulnerabilities are linked to water and sewage systems with regard to climate change and extreme weather situations, what are the possibilities to adapt the system to this and what significance does climate adaptation of the water and sewage systems have in relation to sustainable development?To answer these questions I have studied literature on the subject and interviewed several people who work with these types of questions. The answers I have received state that there are a multitude of vulnerabilities linked to the water- and sewage systems, but that there are also many strong interests which strive to take measures and adapt to a changed climate. I have also come to the conclusion that the starting points and views of the possibilities to act differs between the people that I have interviewed, but that theses problems are built into the concept of democracy..

Early during my education to become an afterschool-teacher a concern was raised that afterschool-programs will continue to be seen as an institution for childcare services. In this experience-based essay, I discuss what I see as the coreproblem: the free- and planned activities. What do the free- and planned activities actually mean for children's development and what is it that determines how much space the various activities will be allowed to take?In my attempts to answer this question, I go through the concept of leisure, the importance of children?s play and adults responsibilities in children?s play, what the different policy documents say about children?s play and the creative work, staff skills and theoretical and practical knowledge. I question whether I was right in the story that I begin this essay with, and conclude that it is more difficult than I previously thought to find an answer to the question..

This study deals with work environment from a legal perspective. The study includes legislative history, legislation today and one empirical study. The legislation that concerns work environment (health and safety) in Sweden today is found in the Swedish Work Environment Act (WEA), the Work Environment Ordinance (WEO), Provisions issued by the Work Environment Authority, related legislations and also collective agreements. The WEA, passed by the parliament in 1977, came into force on the 1st of July 1978 and it defines the framework for Provisions issued by the Work Environment Authority, which is an authority superintended by the Swedish government. These Provisions contain more detailed stipulations and obligations with reference to the working environment.
Varumärkesbyggande och dess påverkan på anställdas attityder : En kvantitativ tvärsnittsstudie
Studien undersökte hur medarbetare såg på företagets varumärke innan påbörjad anställning i förhållande till hur de såg på företagets varumärke i dagsläget. En andra aspekt som undersökningen berörde är vad som influerade företagets ?employer branding-arbete? utifrån ett antal ställda påståenden och hur dessa berör varandra. Studien gjordes på en avdelning inom Saab Group och bygger på ett bekvämlighetsurval (n=35). Insamlingen av data genomfördes genom en surveyundersökning med frågor relaterat till före och under anställning.
Egenvård vid hjärtsvikt : Hjärtsviktspatienters användande av egenvårdsåtgärder
Background: Surgical complications has been the main cause of medical injuries and deaths worldwide. In 2008 WHO developed the checklist for safe surgery to reduce the number of surgical complications. The objective of the checklist is to strengthen already established safety routines and contribute to better cooperation and communication. Research shows that compliance to the checklist is deficient, which can affect patient safety.Aim: The aim was to study the extent to which theatre nurses participate in the use of the checklist.Method: Observational study was conducted with a descriptive design and quantitative approach. 24 observations were carried out with aid of an observation protocol of two surgical units at a hospital in central Sweden.Result: The results showed that Timeout initiated widely but compliance to all items was considerably lower.
