Slaget om spetskompetensen : En kvalitativ studie om hur företag kan arbeta med employer branding för att attrahera teknologstudenter

Då konkurrensen om den bästa arbetskraften idag är hård har det blivit allt viktigare att framstå som en attraktiv arbetsgivare, varför många företag arbetar med aktiviteter som på senare tid kommit att rymmas under begreppet employer branding. Men hur går detta arbete till i praktiken? Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur företag kan arbeta med employer branding för att framstå som en attraktiv arbetsgivare i teknologstudenters ögon. Den tidigare forskning och de teorier som studien utgått ifrån rör dels employer branding, vilket handlar om att förmedla en tydlig bild om vad som gör en arbetsgivare unik och åtråvärd, och dels "Generation Y" vilket huvudsakligen avser 80-talister och handlar om deras livsuppfattningar och värderingar, där fokus i denna studie är deras krav och förväntningar på arbetsmarknaden. För att skapa sig en bättre förståelse kring hur företag kan arbeta med employer branding gentemot teknologstudenter har det gjorts en empirisk studie, dels i form av två samtalsintervjuer med två svenska storföretag som av studenter anses vara attraktiva arbetsgivare, och dels genom två fokusgruppsintervjuer med teknologstudenter.

Tempus Custode : En GPS-tidrapporteringsapplikation

This paper describes Tempus Custode, a smartphone application with which the user may register working hours and travel time during the work day. The application communicates with a database via a server. The data stored in the database may be manipulated using an administrator tool, mainly for the composition of time reports. In this way, the user?s task of time reporting his day is greatly simplified.The application is able to automatically discriminate between work time and travel time, as it continuously fetches positioning data from the smartphone GPS receiver.

Samverkan - vägen till en integrerad arbetsmarknad? : En studie av ett samverkansprojekt

AbstractThe aim of this thesis is to investigate an experimental work in the region of Kronoberg and to study, from the actors? point of view, what possibilities there are for cooperation when it comes to hastening the introduction for newly arrived immigrants on the labour market, and also what possibilities the cooperation entails for the newly arrived immigrants to integrate on the labour market. The thesis employs the following research questions to answer the purpose:How do the actors in the project work to fasten the introduction to the Swedish labour market?Which opportunities and obstacles do the actors experience for cooperation in the project?Which consequences do the actors experience that cooperation in the project bring for the newly arrived immigrants? opportunity to integrate on the labour market?In order to answer the questions, ten actors involved in the project have been interviewed. Also written documents have been used.The conclusion of the study is that explicit goal and explicit division of the responsibilities in the project have made the cooperation easier.

Tubular polyethylene biogas digesters : development and testing of a biogas technology in Malawi to reduce deforestation and support climate change mitigation and adaptation

The aim of the study was to install a biogas system consisting of three tubular polyethylene biogas digesters at a rural household in Malawi and to evaluate the constructed biogas system with regards to relevant system parameters. The purpose was to evaluate if the technology is a possible solution to reduce deforestation and support Malawi in climate change mitigation and adaptation. The study was carried out in the southern part of Malawi in cooperation with the University of Malawi. Locally available materials were used to construct and install the system. Three different feed materials, cow, goat and a mix of cow and goat manure, were used in order to determine which one was best suited to utilise as a digester substrate. After the installation, measurements of temperature, pH, biogas production, biogas composition and system functionality were made. The results of the study show that a biogas system with tubular polyethylene biogas digesters can be successfully installed at a rural household and that the most suitable feed material is a mix of cow and goat manure.

The main purpose of this essay is to investigate the legal position for employers concerning protection against what employees can express about one?s employer in social media.It may regard dissatisfaction concerning employment, tort or so-called whistleblowing. The spread through social media may be comprehensive and thus cause more damage to the employer.Employees within the public sector as well as in the private are protected by the liberty of speech, which is constitutional, even the protection of sources or the right to criticize can offer some protection. This gives the employees the possibility to widely express themselves in private social media as long as it can?t be classified as a violation, which per se is very rare.However, certain differences between the both sectors will be pointed out.There are still no constitutional rights regarding social media, but a grey area has emerged concerning the legal position.

Employer branding är en av dem och det finns goda skäl som talar för att den har kommit för att stanna. Fler och fler företag börjar inse att anställda, precis som kunder, gör medvetna val av arbetsgivare. Det går inte längre ta de anställdas engagemang och lojalitet för givet utan det krävs ett mer fokuserat och sammanhängande förhållningssätt för att attrahera rätt sorts människor.Svensk skogsindustri står inför en rad problem och utmaningar som, beroende på hur de tacklas, kommer att bli avgörande för industrins fortsatta utveckling. Till skillnad från vad många tror har svensk skogsindustri ingen uttalad kompetensfördel trots en del branschspecifika utbildningar.Syftet med examensarbetet är att definiera skogsindustrins framtida konkurrensfördelar ur ett medarbetarperspektiv genom att beskriva skogsindustrins employer value proposition (EVP).

Arbeta med åtgärdsprogram : Två lärares uppfattningar om arbetet med åtgärdsprogram

The aim of this study is to describe the variation in two teachers perceptions of their work with individual developments. The study begins with a review of the Swedish National Agency for Education?s guidelines for working with individual developments. With this I want to give the reader an insight into the teachers working conditions and the responsibilities the school authorities have against their students. Using phenomenography, I have examined the differences between two mathematic teacher?s perceptions in working with individual developments for student?s in need of special education.   My questions are: How do mathemathic teachers perceive their work with individual developments? What support and what information do the teacher?s feel that they have been given in order to use individual developments as a tool? How do the teachers perceive that their work situation has influenced their work with individual developments? The two teachers I have interviewed showed different perceptions both in how they understood the guidelines for working with individual developments and how they chose to work with them.

Framgångsfaktorer i ett drogpreventivt förändringsarbete

This masters degree is a study of factors of success in a drug preventions work of change and model or method which could facilitate this work. The target group, which is in focus in this survey, is alcohol- and drug coordinators, also called prevention coordinators who?s main task is to develop and coordinate the preventive work in the alcohol and drugs area. My method of investigation is a combination of literature studies and a quantitative poll study with the target group, alcohol and drug presenters?, in Sweden.

Kaka söker maka? - en fallstudie av IKEAs marknadsföring mot potentiella anställda

Med syftet av undersöka hur väl IKEAs marknadsföring, värderingar och identitet stämmer överens med studenters uppfattning om företaget har en fallstudie gjorts. Empiri har inhämtats genom en kvalitativ enkätundersökning, intervjuer, IKEAs material och tidigare studier och har sedan analyserats med hjälp av teorier främst rörande Employer Branding och Företagsidentitet. Resultatet från undersökningen visar att uppfattad, kommunicerad och faktisk identitet stämmer väl överens gällande IKEAs önskvärda målgrupp. Dock har en mer kritisk inställning framkommit hos studenter som inte anses passa in i IKEAs målgrupp..

Möjligheter och begränsningar med läroboksbaserad och laborativ matematikundervisning

Mathematics is a central topic in today's education debate, including discussion of its educational quality and various teaching methods. Today basically two different teaching methods are used; one is the textbook based method, with the book in focus and the other one the laboratory method by which teaching is performed through practical applications. The purpose of this study was to examine four primary school teachers' view of these two teaching methods by means of four relevant inquiries. By interviewing the four teachers, advantages and disadvantages were highlighted and the purpose was achieved. In order to support the analysis, two theories applied; the socio-cultural perspective and the cognitive perspective.

Etik - en lyxvara i reklambranschen? : En studie av reklametik i teori och praktik

In this interview study I have examined eleven Swedish advertisers and professional communicators and their view of ethics in the advertising industry. The purpose of the study was to shed light on how they see their ethical responsibilites, as well as trying to understand how they reason in regard to ethics as a whole. The main research questions regard the distinction between business and economic responsibilities towards their clients and societal ethical responsibilities, which ethical questions are of importance to them, and how they believe the industry should be regulated.The theoretical framework of the study uses media ethics, social responsibility theory, media accountability theory, and stockholder and stakeholder theory as its base. The study was performed using a qualitative method through interviews and the interpretation of these. The results of the study finds that the consulted advertisers have set opinions of what they themselves would decline to work with for ethical reasons, and has also been able to identify five main categories of ethical issues that they attach great importance to.

En fungerande eller bristande samverkan? : -En kvalitativ undersökning om samverkan mellan skola och socialtjänst

AbstractThe aim with this study was to enhance the understanding of the interaction between schools and social services. The study would also contribute to better understanding of what is considered work and burst in the interaction between the two, and examine the underlying factors for this. The study's approach includes semi-structured interviews with three employees of a school and two employees in the social services of the municipality. Both international and national research has been obtained for the study and theories as well, associated with the outcome. Conclusions of this study point to the existence of different opinions between the organizations in terms of the quality of their collaboration.
