Avsikten med detta arbete är att undersöka vilka känslor och tankar elever kan ha till djur, samt om de kan ändras när eleverna blir bekanta med djuren. Vi har valt att utföra en kvalitativ undersökning där vi kombinerar metoderna intervju och observation. Undersökningen genomfördes på tio elever i årskurs ett, där alla enskilt fick bekanta sig med en skalbagges alla livcykelstadier under ca 10 minuter. I början och slutet av varje intervju bad vi eleverna att berätta vad de kände och tänkte när de såg djuren, därefter grundade vi vår analys och tolkning av vårt material med hjälp av konstruktivismen. I vår undersökning såg vi att alla elever hade någon sorts känsla för och tanke om djuren, dock kunde det vara svårt att tyda känslorna eftersom vissa elever verbalt kunde uttrycka en känsla medan kroppsspråket visade en annan.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how young women create their feminine gender positions in relation to their reading. Using qualitative research methods the empirical material has been collected through so called reflexive interviews with eight young women aged 15-17. From their statements the empirical material has been divided into five themes that are important to the young women, as well as to the formulation of the problem. This constitutes the model of analysis. The analysis has been conducted through an examination of these themes from a gender theoretical perspective and through the application of theories about reading and gender.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka erfarenheter hundägare har upplevt av samvaro med hund. Femton individuella intervjuer genomfördes och alla respondenter var hundägare samt medlemmar av en brukshundklubb. Den insamlade datan analyserades med hjälp av tematisk analys. Uppsatsen handlar generellt om de olika erfarenheterna hundägare har upplevt av att äga en hund, samt hur detta kan kopplas till tidigare forskning kring hälsa. Erfarenheter så som bidragande till bättre hälsa, kärlek till hunden, glädje och sällskap tas upp vid flera tillfällen i uppsatsen.

The aim of this study is to investigate how five boys in grade 3 of compulsory school structure and use language when they write narrative texts retelling and assessing personally experienced events. This is studied by interpreting how the boys use genre steps that are typical of the structure of personal narrative texts and by detecting and naming different linguistic features in the texts. The material in the study consists of five boys?personal reports and the method, which is based on the theories of genre pedagogy (see Johansson & Sandell Ring 2012:28ff, 223f), comes from systemic functional linguistics. A central finding of the study is that the boys structure their texts in varying combinations of genre steps which commonly occur in texts of a narrative kind.

Music and religion are concepts, which have been continually associated with spirituality throughout the history of Western religion. Since the dawn of mankind, it has been considered that music has had a clear function about how individuals grasp their inner Emotions to reach the transcendent and comprehend "Self". The aim of this thesis is to gain greater understanding as to how a group of young catechists in the Swedish Lutheran Church feel, interpret and construct their identities through popular music. An exploration as to how this specific group perceives concepts such as the Bible, church, spirituality, and religion was undertaken. The theory forming the basis of this essay is derived from a sociological perspective of postmodernism.

Den här studien undersöker kvinnor utsatta för våld i heterosexuella parförhållanden med syftet att undersöka vad som kan påverka att en del kvinnor under lång tid stannar i destruktiva och våldsamma relationer. Den teoretiska referensramen hämtas från ett strukturellt/kulturellt perspektiv i teorin om våldets normaliseringsprocess samt från ett socialpsykologiskt perspektiv genom teorin om det traumatiska bandet. För att uppnå studiens syfte har en kvalitativ metod använts i form av intervjuer. Fem kvinnor med tidigare erfarenhet av våld i nära relationer har intervjuats. Genom en tematisk analysmetod har intervjumaterialet sedan analyserats.

Consumers are facing a wide selection of brands trying to get their attention. An increasing amount of corporations are incorporating non-traditional media in their marketing strategies as an attempt to build relationships with their customers. However, along with the new opportunities to enhance consumer Emotions about the brand, social media has brought along new risks for corporations to face. This paper investigates the consequences of different ways of handling such electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) crisis on Twitter. Furthermore, we investigate potential differences depending on the credibility of the source that sent the message.

  This is a qualitative study aiming to illuminate and gain better understanding of deliberate self-harm. The study has a narrative perspective and is based on three women?s life stories, focusing on a period when they had an active self-harming behaviour. The study examines what the participants experienced as important to the initiation and the cessation of the deliberate self-harm. It is also examining identity performances and turning points which can be discerned in the life stories.

Background: One in three breastfeeding women sustain a chest complication. Many mothers feel that breastfeeding counselors have been the key to initiate and maintain the breastfeeding.Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate mothers? experiences of breastfeeding problems and the advice given from a breastfeeding clinic in a large Swedish city.Method: A qualitative interview study with an inductive approach was made. Ten mothers were interviewed through a semi-structured interview guide. Data were analyzed by using content analysis.Results: Three categories and six sub-categories of mothers' perceptions of breastfeeding pro- blems and the advice they got from the breastfeeding clinic were identified.

Because of the large supply of information is today's leisure travelers very enlightened and have firsthand knowledge of what can be demanded on a hotel stay. Along with business travelers, who are not price sensitive, they place higher demands on the standards and service they require. It has become increasingly important to attract the visitors in a unique way.The purpose of this study is to reveal those aspects which hotels focus on in their business in order to keep their guests, despite the strong competition and the new demands of the changing hotel industry. The study has examined more closely if the hotels have specific concepts in their approach, if their servicescapes (the environment where the service is assembled) are designed in a unique way to attract visitors and if the hotels have special relationships with their guests.The study is qualitative and in order to answer the purpose has observations of the selected hotels and interviews with managers and receptionists been made.One of the conclusions that we reached is that the most important aspect in the hotels business is their relationship to the guests. Each respective hotel strives to have a special and unique relationship with its guests conveyed by its staff.

I samband med att en organdonation ska genomföras görs en uttagsoperation, där organen tas från donatorn. Inför detta ingrepp vårdas patienten på intensivvårdsavdelningen och det finns god tillgång på forskningom hur personalen där upplever vårdandet av en tilltänkt donator. Däremot brister forskningen om hur den perioperativa personalen upplever sitt medverkande vid uttagsoperationen. Syftet med studien var att beskriva perioperativa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att medverka vid en uttagsoperation från en avliden inför organdonation. Studien genomfördes som en kvalitativ deskriptiv studie och kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

The aim of this master?s thesis is in part to investigate how pupils act and experience their information seeking in connection with a school task, and in part to identify which factors influence the information process. The essay?s theoretical framework is based upon Carol C. Kuhlthau?s model of the process of information seeking where actions, thoughts and feelings are regarded as integrated parts.

Aim: To describe nurses' experiences providing end of life care to patients. Method Descriptive literature study, 15 articles were included. The search was made in PubMed, CINAHL and by manual search. The articles were reviewed, analyzed and summarized. Results: For newly graduated nurses? experience in end of life care proved to be something new, developing, difficult to manage and frightening, but expected in the profession.

The purpose of this essay is to explore how students in secondary school seek out and use information. More specifically, the essay examines how the search and use of information differs between students working in groups and students working independently. The essay draws on in-depth interviews with six students. Two different theories are used to analyse the transcripts from the interviews. The first theory consists of Carol Kuhlthau?s six different stages showing how the students? feelings, Emotions and actions change during the information seeking process.

Facial expressions are a part of our body language that helps us to clarify the verbal communication between humans. We use our facial expressions every day, both consciously and unconsciously, to express Emotions and attitudes depending on the situation. The hypothesis of the study is: Given a facial expression, how well can Microsoft Kinect, as an input method, determine a person?s feelings with the two algorithms Naive Bayes and Sequential Minimal Optimization? The feelings are limited to happy, sad, surprised and disgusted. With the help of Kinect, a person?s facial data, both coordinates of the face and parameterized data, were saved and used for machine learning.
