This essay investigates the statements of Växjö municipality?s motives for some of its many environmental projects. The aim of the essay is to be theory-testing as to see how a municipality/city which promotes itself as being ?green? motivates its efforts in the environmental area. Växjö city promotes itself as ?The greenest city in Europe?, an award appointed to the city by BBC and other international media.

The effects of prey size on prey choice in different cohorts of juvenile turbot (Psetta maxima)were studied in three nursery areas at Gotland. Prey length measurements showed that gobies(Gobiidae) increased in average length during the season, while mysids (Mysidae) did not.Experiments on predation capacity of different size classes of turbot on different size classesof prey showed that juvenile turbot easily can eat gobies that are up to two thirds of their ownbody length, while the body size of turbot does not have any effect on the predation capacityon mysids. Stomach content of 217 turbots, less or equal 35 mm, was analysed to see if therewas any change in diet during the season, but there was no significant change in diet. Theoverall conclusion was that early settlers most likely have an advantage due to greater accessof alternative prey..

Huvudsyftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka effekterna av aggressionsersättningsträning (ART) program på tre kriminalvårdsanstalter och två frivårdskontor. Huvudfrågeställningen som belyses i studien är: förändras deltagarna i ART-program med avseende på empati och attityder till kriminalitet? För att besvara dessa frågor har vi utfört för- och eftertester på tre kriminalvårdsanstalter och två frivårdskontor. Instrumenten som användes i testerna är Davis Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) och Mill's Measures of Criminal Attitudes and Associates (MCAA).Slutsatserna som kan dras utifrån denna studie är att den emotionella empati-komponenten "personal distress" visar en minskning som kan förklaras av interaktionen med ART.The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of Aggression Replacement Training (ART) program in some of the prisons and probation authorities of the Swedish correctional system. The aim of the present literature study was to describe the significant factors contributing to the development of moral distress and the consequences of moral distress can lead to in the nurse profession. A literature search was performed in the databases Medline through PubMed and Academic Search Elite on the basis of in advanced defined criterions. A total of 19 articles was reviewed and included in the study. The main result revealed that nurses experience moral distress and that it is frequent within the nurse profession. The findings revealed that there seem to be several significant factors in the development of moral distress, such as providing life-sustaining care, competing loyalties, conflicts with the physician, communication barriers, emotional barriers, cultural barriers, regulation and rules and working environment that gives the nurse difficult or unsolved ethical dilemmas.

Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka varför nyanlända flyktingar tackar nej till ett Migrationsverkets kommunplaceringserbjudande och väljer att bosätta sig i Göteborg, samt hur inneboendesituationen påverkar deras tillvaro. Våra huvudfrågeställningar är ? Hur beskriver flyktingar anledningar till att de tackar nej till kommunplacering?? Vilken roll spelar informationen om kommunplacering från Migrationsverket inför beslut om bosättning i Göteborg?? Hur upplever de sin nuvarande inneboendesituation och dess inverkan på deras tillvaro?För att nå syftet har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod som består av intervjuer med fem nyanlända flyktingar. Studien har en fenomenologisk ansats, det vill säga beskrivande utifrån individernas personliga berättelser samt analys och tolkning av dessa berättelser. Resultatet av intervjumaterialet har analyserats utifrån teoretiserade begrepp så som rational choice, socialt nätverk och hem.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyse and propose improvements to the cost accounting system in use at an airline operating on the Swedish market. The choice of study object is based on the airline?s desire to have its cost accounting system evaluated. During the analysis we have identified a number of points where the current cost accounting system does not correspond to its intended purpose. These points include significant groups of costs not being considered in the current system, potential over capacity is not visible and logic connections between distribution keys and the use of resources are sometimes lacking.

Since the late 1900s, the consultancy has taken a firm grip on the labor market. The consultants' work profile has been secured through agreements such as guaranteed wages. The collective has been shattered as well as higher demands are required of the employee. This results in higher work demands, workload, a reduced staffing resource and hopeless wages which can lead to health problems and depressions. Previous research shows that consultants find it stressful to be associated with two companies and some clients can also point out consultant through different attributes.

This study has been conducted in order to try to clarify how one as a piano teacher, by the choice of teaching material and method of teaching, can influence the process of learning. The study deals with novice teaching and more specifically first semester teaching. I have studied three books, their methods and how they take on the task of introducing music and piano playing to novice students. I studied three groups of novice piano students during the autumn of 2005. For twelve lessons each class worked with one of the following three books: "Vi spelar piano 1" by Carl-Bertil Agnestig, "Pianogehör 1" by Åsa Söderqvist- Spering and "Spela piano med ADAM".

Delaktigheten på den öppna arbetsmarknaden är låg för personer med psykisk funktionsnedsättning. Metoden Supported employment (SE) har visat sig vara framgångsrik i att hjälpa denna målgrupp att nå, få och behålla ett arbete på den reguljära arbetsmarknaden. Fokus har i forskning riktats mot metodens effektivitet men denna studie inriktar sig på arbetskonsulentens stöd inom SE och syftet i studien är att utforska vad dennes stöd betyder för deltagaren i metoden. Kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med tre deltagare och en gruppintervju med tre arbetskonsulenter. Det skräddarsydda, det instrumentella och det emotionella stödet samverkar och leder till empowerment för två deltagare, som har nått en praktikplats där de trivs och kommer till sin rätt.

The main thing we wanted to find out with this thesis was, can reading aloud help the natural language development. We also wanted to know how libraries in Sweden work with reading aloud and if children with reading and writing problems are being helped by being read to. We also wanted to find out what authoritarians on literature think a good reading-aloud novel should contain. To find this out we decided to do a literature study, we have taken part of a number of authoritarian opinions on this matter and we also studied some theories on this subject. We also decided to do a couple of interviews to exemplify how regular libraries work with reading aloud.

My big interest in sports was what shaped my choice of subject for the essay. The purpose of this study has been to explore the social meaning of team sports for functionally impaired persons. In order to fulfil the purpose of the essay I formed following questions: How do the actives experience their participation in team sports? And how important is the social intercourse in team sports to the individual welfare? The methods I?ve used have been qualitative with an ethnographic approach. I have used participant observations and field interviews to gather my empirical material.

ABSTRACTOur work deals with antisocial behavior among elementary school students between 7 and 16years in the school environment. The aim of our study was to examine how school personnelare experiencing antisocial behavior among students from a gender perspective. We were alsointerested to find out what the school's staff has of the experience of the differences andsimilarities between girls 'and boys' antisocial behavior. We used gender theory, when weanalyzed our individual responses to interview questions. We made six qualitative interviewswith low-and high school teachers, assistant principals, counselors and special educationteachers training in Kalmar County.
