Sociala medier innehåller idag massor av information som kan bidra till att ge applikationer och produkter ett stort mervärde genom att ge en förbättrad användarupplevelse. I vissa fall kan sådan information inte erhållas utan att först matcha data från en eller flera datakällor genom en data fusion. Eniro Initiatives AB vill undersöka möjligheter för att genomföra en automatiserad data fusion genom att koppla företag från sitt API till motsvarande företag på sociala medier. Problematiken ligger i att den enda helt säkra källan till matchning av alla svenska företag är dess organisationsnummer, vilket är data som inte finns tillgänglig hos API:er från utländska företag. Syftet var att undersöka möjligheter för att på automatiserat sätt kunna matcha relaterad data från olika datakällor. I detta examensarbete har en prototyp utvecklats som matchar företag från Eniros API med företags sidor från Facebooks API. Resultatet från tester av denna prototyp visar dock brister, då det uppkom fall där redundant information bidrog till att prototypen kunde godkänna inofficiella sidor med koppling till det relevanta företaget, vilket inte var önskvärt..

Idag har vi mängder av data på våra lagringsmedia vilket gör dem till en värdefull informationskälla. Om denna data raderas betyder det inte att den är borta för alltid. Data finns fortfarande kvar på lagringsmediet och går att återskapa med så kallad file carving. Att kunna återskapa data är en viktig del inom den polisiära verksamheten, men även för andra verksamheter som förlorat data. Det finns dock vissa problem som kan ställa till med besvär när data ska återskapas. När filer inte är lagrade i sammanhängande datablock blir de fragmenterade vilket innebär problem.

The intention of this thesis is, from a basic statistical viewpoint, to capture the relationship between the price of electricity and a sample of factors influencing the price. The thesis also aims at investigating whether knowledge about the relationship is useful when investing on Nord Pool. Tested factors are temperature, import, price of emission rights as well as a number of hydrological factors. The investigated period stretches from year 2000 until week 32 year 2007. The relevance of each factor was also evaluated yearly as well as for shorter periods in order to get a more comprehensive view of the relationship.

The management of information is one of the key aspects within a successful andefficient product development process, particularly regarding complex products.Scania CV AB is at the moment developing a new IT-system, OAS, which aims tomanage the company?s product data. With this as a background, the purpose of thismaster thesis is to identify the cross-functional user needs within Scania?s organizationconcerning product data and the management around it.To fulfill the purpose, an empirical study consisting of 40 personal interviews with 50representatives from different functions within Scania?s organization was carriedthrough. The empirical data was then analyzed focusing on identifying thecross-functional needs and issues.The study points out that there is a big potential regarding improvement among themanagement of product data.

In many industries today, there is a growing emphasis on calculations. They are used to manage and control the activities in today?s organizations, one of these industries is the process industry.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how to use remote sensing data when making a forest management plan. The main focus of the study is to compare different methods to identify forest stands of a forest property, and by manual measures and estimates try to evaluate the quality of interpreting data. This report is based on survey questions sent to five different organizations working with remote sensing data. Only two of these where willing to participate in this investigation. The organizations where asked to analyze the same forest property and divide into compartments and make estimations of volume, basal area etc. in every stand.

Fortum has in a pilot project installed metering equipment with wireless communication in secondary substations in Stockholm. So far, the collected data are used only in specific projects.This master thesis was carried out at Fortum Distribution AB in Stockholm during 2013. The purpose of this study is to simplify and enhance the use of data in for example network planning process, by giving suggestions on how data can be managed and giving examples of analyzes that collected data can be used for.The electricity meter which Fortum has installed is a EDMI-Mk10A which is set to measure max/average/min values with a one hour time resolution of the following parameters: voltage (per phase), current (per phase) andactive power and active and reactive energy.In order to analyze the collected data an analysis tool is required. During this thesis two customized tools in Microsoft Excel have been developed, one for sorting data and one for analyzing.One aim of the thesis is to show examples of what collected measurement data can be used for. Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera om och i så fall hur införandet av en marknad för utsläppsrätter, EU ETS, The European Union Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading Scheme, är en effektiv åtgärd för att åtgärda externalitetsproblemet växthuseffekten. Uppsatsens slutsatser är att införande av EU ETS medför större samhällsekonomisk vinst än om EU ETS ej införts. Nuvarande utformning av EU ETS omfattar inte alla verksamheter som bidrar med utsläpp av växthusgaser och måste därför kompletteras med andra styrmedel för att uppnå reduktionsmålet. EU ETS kan bli ett effektivare styrmedel om fler sektorer omfattas i handeln, exempelvis transportsektorn som i Sverige är den sektor som förväntas öka sina utsläpp. Handelsystemet kan även effektiviseras genom att tilldelningen av utsläppsrätter sker via försäljning istället för att vara gratis.

Denna rapport behandlar prestandaskillnader vid överföringar med Ajax och WebSocket, samt webbläsares kompabilitet med WebSocket.Ämnet kändes relevant då fler och fler webbsidor börjar använda sig av dessa tekniker för att hämta och skicka data i realtid.Undersökningen genomfördes genom att en testapplikation skapades där data kunde överföras med respektive teknik, varpå tidsåtgången för överföringen mättes och presenterades.Resultatet visar att WebSocket har klara fördelar mot Ajax när små mängder data överförs, samtidigt som Ajax visade sig vara snabbare vid upprepade överföringar av större mängder data.Undersökningen visade även att stöd för WebSocket saknas i flera webbläsare, varför WebSocket ännu inte är redo att användas fullt ut..

Purpose: The main purpose of the thesis is to examine the consequences of applying IAS40 on the Swedish real estate companies? annual reports. Detta är en studie om klimatpåverkan i samband med anläggandet av järnvägsbroar i syfte att ta fram nyckeltal (moment, material, mängder) för att effektivt kunna reducera utsläppen av växthusgaser. Till grund för studien har vi arbetat med Trafikverkets verktyg klimatkalkyl 2.0. Det har granskats utifrån användarvänlighet och riktighet i indata och emissionsomräkningsfaktorer. Det för att se till skillnaden mellan modellen och ett unikt anläggningsprojekt, var skiljer sig Trafikverkets typvärden mot de projektspecifika förutsättningarna samt vilka blir dess konsekvenser?Studien har kommit fram till att utan viss försiktighet vid arbete i klimatkalkyl 2.0 finns risk för inkorrekta resultat.
