Swedish Trotting association was formed in 1925. They are the ones who design the regulations concerning what is permissible and not permissible for the horse, driver and trainer, when they have a license at a Swedish racing track. The Veterinary department of Swedish Trotting association decides in consultation with representatives from veterinaries around the country what is allowed and not allowed, based proven experience, combined with the availability of scientific data and Veterinary Department's own assessment. After stricter regulations for good animal welfare from the Swedish government, Swedish Trotting association is going to work out a workable model for how new equipment can be tested in the future to see how the equipment affects the horse. In the future, all equipment will be objectively tested before approved. The purpose of this work was to develop a well-functioning model for this. The research-question for this work is: Is this study design a well-functioning model of how the equipment should be tested in the future? The equipment used for designing this model was bitless bridle with a bit.

On commission of the County administrative board in Värmland County a method was developed for analysis of the occurrence of artificial land use at lakes and watercourses. With artificial land use is meant land significantly affected by man. Two bases have been used to carry out the analysis. In one of the analysis the vegetation database and in the other GSD¹-Marktäckedata (land cover data) was used (this method has been used by County administrative board in Jönköping County).The analysis comprises all watercourses within Alsterälven river basin. The digital water bodies are created by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute on the basis of GSD-Översiktskartan (general map).

Facilitated by the breakthrough of the internet, new ways of organizing internet-based projects that harness the power of the crowds are becoming increasingly common. Today there are ways of using the crowd as paid labour, as funders of your new project ventures and even for helping scientists doing science. Staying true to its traditional principles of objectivity and trustworthiness while asking the crowd to contribute, crowd generated ?Citizen Science? does not provide even the slightest amount of pay in exchange for the time and effort put in by their contributors. Surely there can not be many people willing to do such a thing voluntarily? Actually, practice is showing the exact opposite with contributions counted in their millions among the more popular Citizen Science projects.

Könsroller i samhället påverkar män och kvinnors val av arbetsområde inom vården. Enligt statistik från Socialstyrelsen väljer manliga sjuksköterskor främst att specialistutbilda sig inom akutsjukvård samt psykiatri, medan vissa områden har brist på män. De patienter som önskar bli omhändertagen av en manlig sjuksköterska kan i dagsläget inte få detta uppfyllt överallt. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva manliga sjuksköterskors motiv att söka sig till och att arbeta inom sluten psykiatri samt akutmottagning. Metoden för studien var kvalitativ deskriptiv, genom semistrukturerade intervjuer vilka analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Writing is a critical element for many of the second language learners that I?ve encountered in my work as a Swedish teacher. Therefore, on the basis of Jerome Bruners theories of reflec-tion and learning, was the purpose with this study to examine the scaffolded structured reflec-tion conversation as a method for writing development. Bruner says that the knowledge be-comes deeper when we consciously reflect over it (Arfwedson 1992:110 f).I have used a qualitative method where I let five students write a text in Swedish on the subject "application for internship". After that I held a conversation with each of the pupils.

The thesis mission is to investigate whether the swiveling laser that Vectura (former Vägverket Konsult) has in use to measure the road areas and straddle measuring can be used to detect differences in the reflective road markings function. This is to increase use of the swiveling laser and get rid of the manual measurements performed today.Currently, the measurement of road markings reflective function is performed with both mobile and handheld measuring instruments. The purpose of this thesis is to develop better methods for determination of road markings? reflective function, in order to facilitate the description and suggestions for improvements of the maintenance of road markings reflective function.The questions that the thesis has been to start with are:Can the swiveling laser detect differences in longitudinal and transverse road markings reflective function?The accuracy of measurement has been sweeping the laser over the reference instrument (LTL-2000)Is it necessary with a conversion factor for swiveling laser data against the reference instrument data?To answer the question 2 and 3, there has been a field work in Värnamo where a road stretch with longitudinal road markings and zebra crossing (transverse road markings) has been investigated with a swiveling laser and LTL-2000.The formulas and calculations contained in the thesis are drawn from scientific reports that are produced by VTI in Linköping. The same formula that was used to calculate the optical measurement data was also used for the swiveling laser data.

SammanfattningPatienter har enligt lag rätt att vara delaktiga i hälso- och sjukvården. Akutsjukvården är en speciell del av vårdkedjan där det är viktigt med snabba beslut och interventioner för att åtgärda akuta sjukdomar och skador. När en person blir patient hamnar personen i en viss beroendeställning till personalen. Sjuksköterskan och övrig personal i vården har möjligheten att stärka eller försvaga patientens roll genom sitt agerande. I jämförelse med andra likvärdiga länder är svenska patienters möjlighet till delaktighet i vården eftersatt.Syftet med studien var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av delaktighet i vården på en akutvårdsavdelning.Studien bygger på tio intervjuer med patienter på en akutvårdsavdelning.

Varje skola har skyldighet att inneha en aktuell krisplan att tillgå vid händelser och situationer som kan utlösa en krisreaktion hos en eller flera individer på skolan. Det finns inga direktiv från varken arbetsmiljöverket eller skolverket kring hur dessa krisplaner skall vara utformade eller vilka händelser och situationer som bör tas upp. Detta ger varje enskild skola stora friheter i utformningen av krisplanerna. Jag har inhämtat krisplaner från fem grundskolor med årskurser från förskoleklass till årskurs fem och gjort kritiska diskursanalyser av dessa varpå jag upptäckt stora skillnader och även likheter mellan dessa vilka jag ger en redogörelse för i mitt resultat. Jag har fokuserat på tre utkristalliserade teman:Elevs dödsfallUppföljning av elever som mår dåligt till följd av inträffat dödsfallSituationer som en enskild skola är ensam om att lyfta uppVidare för jag en diskussion kring krisplanernas utformning och de utkristalliserade teman jag funnit och kopplar dessa till psykologisk forskning kring barns känslor, krisreaktioner samt barnens bearbetningsprocess vid en kris.Jag söker även efter indikationer på att barn som mår dåligt till följd av att föräldrarna separerar lyfts upp i krisplanerna.

The work presented in this report is written at IEIs department on Linköping Institute of Technology. The report aims to increase the assembly efficiency at Wigells AB. The report shall be used as a guide for the implementation of changes at other workstations in the company. Together with Träcentrum in Nässjö, Wigells AB has identified the needs of this study and contacted IEI at Linköping Institute of Technology.In order to implement an efficient assembly line at the company, studies on lean production have been made. This theory has been studied and together with our own views and findings at the company we have analyzed the assembly area.Wigells is a small company that manufactures wood furniture.

Denna uppsats är en utvärdering av en metod där socialtjänsten i Haninge kommun arbetar behandlande med familj- och skolsystemet. Behandlingsformen kallas korttidsbehandling och följer en manual som behandlare skapat utifrån inspiration av Barn och Ungdomspsykiatrin (BUP) i Östersund. Metoden är inte tidigare utvärderad.En kvalitativ studie genomfördes med fyra föräldragrupper och respektive fyra skolpersonalgrupper som deltagit efter en relativt kort prövotid av metoden. Det övergripande syftet med studien var därför att få en ökad förståelse för vilken betydelse korttidsbehandlingen har för familj respektive skolpersonal.I intervjuerna beskrivs att processen under behandlingen påminner om nätverksspiralen i nätverksterapi. I boken Nätverksterapi beskriver Svedhem nätverksspiralen.

Sädesslagen innehåller olika prolaminer, vilka gemensamt benämns för gliadin. Autoantigenet utgörs av enzymet vävnadstransglutaminas (tTG). Genom deamidering medför enzymet att gliadinets immunogenitet ökar.

For a significantly cheaper price, SME: s can nowadays acquire ERP-solutions and become more effective and increase their profit.  The authors have examined five SME: s in both the production and service company segment and have come to the conclusion that an ERP-solution would indeed benefit these companies in many levels but also induce certain obstacles the examined companies must overcome, both financial and organizational.Purpose            The purpose of this thesis is to examine if and how SME: s can become more efficient and developed and increase their profit by implementing an ERP-solution. Further, the purpose is to discuss which conditions that exists for the examined SME: s in order to implement an ERP-solution.Method            The thesis consists of a qualitative research where the authors have interviewed either the owner or employees at management level by using semi-structured interviews.

Bakgrund: Mäns våld mot kvinnor förekommer i hela världen. För att upptäcka de kvinnor som blir utsatta för våld är det viktigt att våga ställa frågan om våld till kvinnor som söker vård. Syfte Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka sjuksköterskors upplevelser och erfarenheter kring att ställa frågan om våld till kvinnor som söker vård på en akutmottagning. Metod: Denna studie hade en deskriptiv design med kvalitativ ansats. Semistrukturerade intervjuer utfördes med åtta sjuksköterskor på en akutmottagning i mellansverige.Resultat: Sjuksköterskorna på akutmottagningen kände överlag att de inte hade tillräckligt med utbildning och beredskap för känna sig trygga med att ställa frågan om våld till kvinnor som söker vård.

Approximately 4000-5000 hectares, of SCA´s forest land area in Västerbotten, are in need of pre-commercial thinning (PCT) every year. Within the management district, the areas annually treated with PCT must increase, in order to decrease the area with an urgent need for PCT. This can be done by employing more forest workers or entrepreneurs, by mechanized PCT or by an extended season for PCT. Positive experiences from a private forest owner, who started to carry out PCT when the first snow came and then continued for several months, gave an idea to investigate the possibilities to prolong the season of PCT. The purpose of this experiment was to compare PCT carried out when there was snow on the ground with PCT performed when there was no snow on the ground.
