Introduktion: Att vänta på ambulans kan antas betyda ett vårdlidande för patienter. Det finns möjlighet för larmoperatören på SOS-alarm att prioritera på ett sådant sätt att väntetiden varierar patienter emellan. Det är också möjligt för ambulanssjuksköterskan att fördröja tiden från det att uppdraget tilldelats till det att ambulansen startas. Tidigare forskning pekar på kopplingar mellan vårdlidande och väntan på vård. Föreliggande pilotstudie mäter skillnader i väntetid mellan två socialt skilda stadsdelar i Göteborg och relaterar väntetid i termer av vårdlidande.

A short execution time was also desirable.By using the characteristic of an inhalation a band-pass filter was applied to the signalto improve the signal to noise ratio. After the filtering an energy estimation of thesignal was made. This energy estimation was later used in a frequency analysis, whichcould tell us if there were enough energy in the frequencies that correspond to adivers breathing frequency.

Med anledning av att flera kriser av extraordinära slag har inträffat i fredstid har förmågan att hantera dessa fått stor uppmärksamhet. Ett exempel är stormen Gudrun som lamslog delar av Sverige i januari 2005. För att kunna hantera sådana kriser behövs en fungerande beredskap och här har kommunerna en viktig roll. Om kommunerna har en väl utvecklad krisberedskap kan samhället bättre klara av en kris. Genom utvärderingar och erfarenheter från kriser har det visat sig att samverkan mellan kommuner är av stor betydelse för en god krisberedskap.

The market for security is one filled with great opportunities. The security services companies are numerous and diverse, the Swedish market is dominated by two large companies: Securitas Bevakning AB and Falck Security AB. In this study we have focused on the bigger of the two, Securitas. This report describes and analysis the security service branch and its surroundings in an involved manner. The aim of thie literature review was to study the advantages and disadventages of the intranasal medication, treating children with acute pain in  prehsopital settings and in emergency care. Searches were performed in databases PubMed and Cinahl. The intranasal method of administrating drugs could be a acceptable compliment to todays's traditional metods. Unnecessary pain is avoided as there is no need for skin penetration. Further studies are necessary in order to integrate this metod both in prehospital settings and in emeregncy care..

Dödsfall, arbetsplatsolyckor, hot och våld. Alla är de exempel på kriser som inträffar på svenska företag varje år. Dessa händelser ställer krav på att företagen har en organisation och struktur för att klara av att hantera kriserna och för att minska verkningarna av dem. Krishantering är ett samlingsbegrepp för hur man systematiskt arbetar för att minska krisens omfattning, både före, under och efter att den har inträffat. Syftet med att använda krishantering är att företagen skall kunna förebygga att allvarliga händelser inträffar och att hantera dem på ett effektivt sätt.  Ungefär sju av tio svenska företag har idag etablerad krisberedskap som gör att de klarar av att hantera kriser och olyckor, men lagstiftningen ställer krav att alla företag skall planera och organisera krisstöd och krishantering oavsett verksamhetsområde och bransch.Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur chefer i privata företag beskriver krishantering inom sina verksamheter och hur man ser på prioritering av krishanteringen.

Syftet med denna studie var att studera möjligheten att bedöma korrekthet i vittnens utsagor beroende av deltagarnas grupptillhörighet. I studien ingick 120 deltagare som antingen fick se en film med vittnesmål från fyra vittnen med enstaka centrala meningar eller läsa en text med samma meningar. De viktigaste mätningarna i denna studie gjordes efter signal detection theory (SDT). Resultaten visade att deltagarna inte skattade mycket över slumpnivå och ofta till och med under slumpnivå i sina bedömningar. I en hopslagning av betingelserna (text/film) visade analyserna att män generellt var signifikant sämre än kvinnorna på att bedöma vittnesmål, men att kvinnorna gör fler falska alarm än männen i bedömningen av textversionen.  De funna könsskillnaderna i hur vittnesmål bedöms diskuterades..

Jämtkraft AB which is a power production company in Sweden has bought two newhydro power units to their station in Hissmofors. Syftet för denna uppsats var att utveckla metodiken för utvärdering av varningsljud i förarmiljö. I undersökningen används syntetiskt framställda ljud. En likhetsskattning av ljuden utfördes och korrelerades gentemot hur väl ljudet passade in för de olika trafiksituationerna. Trafiksituationerna består av att ett bakre fordon accelererade mot ett främre fordon och framkallade ett hot för kollision under en viss tid. Det var ett ljud som korrelerade högt, vilket var ett entonigt alarm.

The aim of this study is to investigate attitudes among relatives and Emergency Department staff, concerning relatives possible presence during resuscitation. Seven scientific articles revises in the studys method. The articles have been searched for in CINAHL, Elin and PubMed. Articles have been analysed using Polit, Beck and Hungler (2001) instructions to evaluate scientific quality. The findings of this study show there it seems no longer appropriate routinely excluding relatives from family presence during resuscitation.

Sedan år 2005 har personal vid Sahlgrenska universitetssjukhuset utvecklat ett triage system utifrån Manchester triage system till det svenska Medical Emergency Triage and Treatment System (METTS). Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om METTS är ett stöd för ambulanssjuksköterskor/sjuksköterskor i deras bedömning av patienter. En kvantitativ design har valts genom att samla in enkäter från två olika län i Sverige. Insamlad data sammanställdes via statistikprogrammet Statistical Packagefor Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0 och analyserades i deskriptiv och analytisk statistik. I resultatet framkom det att METTS var ett system som hjälpte sjuksköterskorna i ambulansen i sin bedömning av patienter prehospitalt.
