AbstractThe aim of this literature review was to describe the quality of life in stoma patients after stomasurgery. Different combinations of the keywords ?stoma?, ?Quality of Life?, ?stomasurgery? were used when searching in the databases Medline, Cinahl, Academic Search Elite and PubMed. A total of nineteen articles were used in the result. Fifteen studies had comparing design and four studies had describing design.

During sleep the majority of the body?s production of anabolic hormones is produced and sleep is a general anabolic state of being. It has been to our recognition that a powernap is 4-6 times more effective when it comes to sleep intensity than the last 1-2 hours of a traditional eight hour sleep. With this in mind, and that Elite athletes worldwide often sleeps in between their training sessions. This study has tried to prove a hypothesis which comes from the assumption that you can recover and perform better during times with intensive periods with better distribution of your sleep.We have in this study let three test subjects take part of a six week long program with two different training periods for legs.

The purpose of this paper is to explore branch librarians? ideals for mediating fiction and their view on the literature that are distributed by the Swedish Arts council. The study is based on the following questions: How do branch librarians reflect about mediating fiction? How do they express their view and their work with literature that are distributed by the Swedish Arts council? And which ideals of mediating can be distinguished from these expressions? To answer these questions a qualitative examination based on interviews with four branch librarians where used. The empiric material where then analysed by Jofrid Karner Smidt?s theory about different ideals for mediating fiction.

On the 8th of May 2007 a local power-sharing goverment consisting of Sinn Fein and the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) was formed in Northern Ireland. The aim of this dissertation is to explore why the DUP, who in the past have opposed all forms of power-sharing decided to form a goverment and take active part in a power-sharing agreement. The study is based on a consociational theoretical framework developed by Arend Lijphart and further developed in a Northern Irish context by John McGarry and Brendan O'Leary. Using this theory the study seeks to understand the broad conditions surrounding the DUP's power-sharing. After a description of consociational theory and the road leading up to the Belfast Agreement,three possible explanations for power-sharing, based onconsociational theory are discussed.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva sjuksköterskans roll i omvårdnaden av patienter med anorexia nervosa. Sökning av vetenskapliga artiklar gjordes i databaserna EBSCO host, PubMed, psycINFO, Blackwell Synergy, Wiley InterScience Journals och Academic Search Elite. Studiens huvudresultat utgjordes av tre huvudkategorier; kommunikation, bemötande och omvårdnadsåtgärder. Kommunikation visade sig vara viktig utifrån flera olika aspekter. Det var i första hand viktigt att få en fungerande kommunikation med patienten, men de anhöriga fick inte heller glömmas bort utan spelade en stor roll i omvårdnaden.

The purpose of this study was to describe how women with fibromyalgia experienced their quality of life. The method used was a literature study with a descriptive design. The search for scientific articles was done by the databases Academic Search Elite, CINAHL, Medline via PubMed and Cohrane Library. The articles were quality-tested and the content studied, resulting in four categories as follows. Research involving the physical aspects of the quality of life showed that sleeplessness, tiredness and pain was commonly occurring symptoms in women?s daily life which affected their life-situation.

In our study we have examined the reverse perspective. The purpose of this study would be to explain how the organisational culture affect the internal communication between the middle manager and his or hers subordinates.Theories: The basic theories in the study are The basic model, Internal communication, Levels of culture, High-power culture, Socialconstructions, Organisational structures and Leader Member Exchange Theory.Method: The study is based on the qualitative approach. We have used interviews for our collection of raw data.

Sammanfattning Syftet med studien var att beskriva anhörigas upplevelser av att leva tillsammans med eller i närheten av en person som har drabbats av Alzheimers sjukdom. Studien utgick från ett socialt, fysiskt och psykiskt perspektiv. Studien byggde på 18 vetenskapliga artiklar som kvalitet granskades med hjälp av en granskningsmall. Artiklar söktes genom databaserna Academic Search Elite, Cinahl och Vård I Norden Online. Urvalskriterierna var att artiklarna svarade på studiens syfte, var skrivna på svenska eller engelska och publicerade mellan åren 2000 till 2008.

Kronisk hjärtsvikt är en vanligt förekommande sjukdom som för med sig en successiv kroppslig funktionsnedsättning. Ibland är förståelsen i vården liten för den äldre patientens förändrade livssituation då den ofta ses som en del av ett naturligt åldrande. Syftet är att beskriva den äldre patientens upplevelse av att leva med kronisk hjärtsvikt. Studien har genomförts som en litteraturstudie där materialet består av kvalitativa artiklar. Litteratursökningen gjordes i databaserna Academic Search Elite, Cinahl, Medline och Pubmed där sökorden har kombinerats på olika sätt för att få fram relevanta artiklar.

Denna studie hade som syfte att undersöka vilka orsaker till stress svenska elitfotbollsdomare upplever samt hur domarna hanterar den upplevda stressen. Vidare syfte var att undersöka hur stressen påverkar domarnas hälsa, och vilken påverkan stressen har på beteendet hos domarna. Urvalet till denna studie bestod av 10 svenska elitfotbollsdomare, både män och kvinnor, med domaruppdrag inom Allsvenskan eller Superettan säsongen 2011. En semistrukturerad intervjuguide användes under antingen telefon- eller personliga intervjuer. Intervjuerna analyserades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor bemöter alkohol- och drogmissbrukare som söker vård, samt att beskriva faktorer som kan påverka sjuksköterskors bemötande. Metoden som författarna använde sig av var att i databaserna Academic search Elite, Pubmed, Cinahl samt PsycINFO söka vetenskaplig litteratur. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie med deskriptiv design, och i resultatet inkluderades 28 vetenskapliga artiklar. Huvudresultatet av studien gällande sjuksköterskors bemötande visade på två huvudkategorier. Ett negativt bemötande och ett positivt bemötande.

Akupunktur tillhör traditionell kinesisk medicin där en holistisk människosyn används. Nålar sätts in i muskulaturen och stimuleras för att uppnå De Qi, den specifika nål känslan. Behandlingen används främst i smärtlindrade syfte och som sjuksköterska kan akupunktur vara en omvårdnadsåtgärd. Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva vilka bieffekter akupunktur kan ge och om dessa är så svåra att de kan ge upphov till ohälsa och lidande. Sammanlagt sju artiklar användes och dessa söktes efter i databaserna: Cinahl, Pubmed, Medline och Academic search Elite.

The aim of this study was to investigate how four families in the Stockholm area reason, what kind of preconception they have and what their horizon of expectations is when they make the choice between sending their children to the profile class of municipal/free schools and sending them to the general classes in those schools. The main research questions asked were:What kind of preconception do the parents have about profile classes?What reasons do the interviewed parents have to send their children to a profile class?What are the interviewed parent?s expectations of the profile class choice?The study is built on qualitative interviews with the parents of the families. The empirical data has been analyzed using a framework of theories drawing on the theory of reproduction, the forms of social capital, the ideas created from the word profile and Elite and the horizon of expectations. The results show that the parents of the families have a similar degree of preconception about profile classes.

Handbook,! a! product!development!process,!which!itself!is!based!on!a!phaseCgate!model.!The!process!focuses!on!the!user!category!enthusiastic!amateurs,!since!this!is!what!companies!in!the!industry!require.!The!process!also! focuses!on!how!and!where! small!outdoor! companies! should!involve!users!and!give!recommendations!on!how!many!users!that!should!be!involved!in!a! product! development! process,! different! from! what! the! theory! recommend.! The!process! also! builds! on! that! ideas! should! come! from! the! users! first,! and! then! being!further!developed!by!the!company's!product!developers.!The!degree!of!communication!between!users!and!the!company!is!shown!and!the!report!clarifies!the!user!involvement!intensity!in!product!development!processes.!!The!involvement!process!that!has!been!developed!has!also!been!summarized!in!a!guide!that! can!be!used!by! a! company!on! a!daily!basis.!This! contains! information!on,! among!other!things,!how!users!are!selected!and!how!to!plan!a!workshop.!!! !.

Det fanns många studier avseende attityder och kunskaper gentemot ECT bland både läkare och patienter. Däremot fanns ett fåtal studier ur sjuksköterskor och sjuksköterskestudenters perspektiv gällande attityd, kunskap och omvårdnad vid ECT behandlingen. Syftet var att ur ett omvårdnadsperspektiv beskriva ECT behandlingen avseende attityd, kunskap och omvårdnadshandling. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar, nio kvantitativa och en kvalitativ, funna genom litteratursökning i databaserna Academic Search Elite, Cinahl, CSA Psychology, PsycInfo, PubMed, SweMed+, Scopus och Web of Science. Resultatet visade motsägelsefulla fynd angående attityderna.
