The purpose of the thesis is to investigate and analyze how three different actors linked to the urban transformation in the city of Kiruna, in this case LKAB, the Municipality of Kiruna and the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten, believe that the identity of a historical monument that is marked cultural heritage is affected by future relocation. The second part of the study is to investigate the impact the building might have on the city in the future. This study is based on the relocation of Hjalmar Lundbohmsgården.The study is based on a qualitative approach in which five informants from the three actors were interviewed. The interviews have been analyzed through thematic analysis, where a combination of theoretical thematic analysis and empirical thematic analysis was used. The result shows that the new location of Hjalmar Lundbohmsgården is preferred to be in a suitable context close to other cultural buildings. All informants agree that accessibility is a fundamental element in, which a synergistic effect is an increase in visitor numbers.

Change is a recurring element in society and for sports clubs. When there is a change in society, this change may have an impact and change the condition for sports clubs and its leaders. Changes can be degraded into trends. This study has been delimited to study four social trends that research shows may have an impact on sports club, which are; Increased commercialization, changing demographics, changing communication patterns and increased individualization. To help sports clubs in their development it is of value to find out how these changes are perceived.

Masonites flexibla byggsystem, är ett byggsystem utvecklat av Masonites Beams AB för flervåningshus, bostäder och kontor i trä.  System är anpassat så att det i största möjliga utsträckning går att använda sig av prefabricerade element direkt från fabrik, för att sedan hopfogas med mekaniska förband på byggarbetsplatsen.Masonites förslag på en infästning mellan bärande väggar är utformad som en montagedubb vilken förs ned i ett hål i underliggande väggelement. Montaget av dubben fungerade inte önskvärt, och det finns tveksamheter i montagedubbens förmåga att ta upp vindinducerande krafter.Examensarbetet syftar till att utforma och dimensionera ett nytt väggbeslag till Masonites flexibla byggsystem där snabbt montage av beslaget är viktigt. Iden är att såga en kontinuerlig slits i väggelementen som man sedan fäster plåtar som skruvas fast i det övre- respektive det undre väggelementet. Skruven som används är en självborrande skruv för att slippa förborrning av plåten och väggelementet.Reglerna i Eurokod 3 och 5 ligger till grund för beräkningarna av beslaget och lastnedräkningen av ett 8-våningshus är enligt BKR. Lämplig indata till lastnedräkningen gjordes i samråd med erfaren konstruktör och inblandade i MFB från Masonite.

Water hardness indicates the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions in water. Water with high concentrations of these ions is described as hard water and water with low concentrations is described as soft water. Water that is too hard or too soft can lead to technical and economical problems. In collaboration with Midvatten AB, groundwater hardness in the Badelunda esker between Leksand and Avesta has been mapped, and an attempt has been made to explain the variations. For this purpose, different GIS programs, such as ArcView, ArcInfo, IDIRISI, and one geochemical modelling program, PHREEQC, has been used.

This thesis aims to illustrate how environmental impact can be reduced, through the use of lean concrete. It also illustrates how environmental data can be applied to a house through implementation with BIM. In this study a unique concrete structure developed by Swedish Cement and Concrete Research Institute is assessed for environmental impact, by calculating the carbon dioxide equivalents using LCA methodology. The construction is a sandwich element where the concrete is made ??up of three layers.

The IPv6 protocol offers with some new functions, one of them is auto configuration. With auto configuration it is possible for nodes, i.e. hosts and routers, for automatically associated with IPv6 addresses without manual configuration. Auto configuration it is another protocol as it uses Neighbor Discovery protocol (ND) messages (ND is mandatory in the IPv6 stack). The main purpose of ND is that nodes can discover other nodes on the local link, perform address resolution, check that addresses are unique, and check the reachability with active nodes.There are exactly the same vulnerabilities of IPv6 as IPv4 and is now exception, ND if not properly secured.

Undersökning utgår från kläder som kommunikativa element och lyfter fram en blå dunjacka från Fjällräven som ett exempel. På vägen till en betydelse för detta tecken presenteras även tecknet fjortis, ett resultat av en teckenkedja. Tillsammans leder de vidare till ett visuellt teckens kontextberoende. I ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv utvecklas vi av och med varandra. Människan kommunicerar mening via tecken, betydelser konstrueras i den kontext tecknen finns.

The idea with constructions made out of prefabricated elements is that it should be quick and easy to build as the demands for lower production costs, increased profitability and shorter production times are constantly increasing. High accuracy in measurements and well-balanced tolerances is required to achieve this. The fact that the concrete-elements doesn?t fit and that damage occurs during assembly is a highly topical issue even though we now have methods and systems that make this high-intensity construction possible. Through this report we want to highlight the problems that cause the dimensional and tolerance problems and give suggestions on how to come to terms with these.

The report describes a measuring method for analysis of energy consumption measurement in microwave ovens. Concurrently that the awareness of the environment evolves the demands are growing for more power saving products. This is also counting within the Home Appliance business, which is Whirlpools business area. Whirlpool is therefore interested of launching microwave ovens with documented low power consumption. To be able to implement this, both asserted measuring equipment, that fulfils all demands, and a standard procedure is required.

Phosphorus (P) is an essential nutrient but a surplus could lead to eutrophication. Furthermore, the minerals used to produce the mineral phosphate is a non renewable resource. There are in other words several reasons to reduce the leakage of P and the agriculture is one important area to attend. The aim of this work has been to investigate if carbon-rich arable soils content contain more P than arable soils with low carbon content. Moreover it has been calculated if the carbon-rich soils could pose a risk of P leakage by comparing their delivery of P with the plant uptake. The work has consisted of compiling the results from former gathered and analysed soil samples of 130 Swedish arable soils. The fractions of P considered are water soluble P (Pw), ammonium lactate-extractable P (P-AL), hydrochloric acid-soluble P (P-HCl), organic ammonium lactate-extractable P (Porg-AL) and inorganic ammonium lactate-extractable P (Porg-HCl).

In today?s world there are plenty of technological tools and methods available with the purpose to increase peoples motivation for a healthier lifestyle. One such tool is a so-called activity tracker which uses sensors to log the user's everyday life and present it as automatic feedback. Gamification is a new and successful method to motivate and engage people in fulfilling tasks by using game elements and mechanics. In this study, five participants were instructed to use the activity tracker and pedometer Fitbit Flex daily for three weeks. Halfway through the study the participants were ranked and listed against each other in a ranking list in order to evoke competition.

Osseointegrated titanium implants have become a commonly used method in edentulous jaws and today there are success rates in the magnitude of 82 % in the lower jaw and 98 % in the upper. During first year after implantation a fully normal marginal bone loss of 1-2 mm occurs. If the bone loss continues there is a risk of implant failure. High tensions in bone and inflammation caused by bacteria are possible reasons for this problem. It has been shown that a leakage of bacterias occurs between the parts of the implant and there are theories that this has effects on the marginal bone loss. The aim of this thesis has been to increase the knowledge about microbial leakage with help of in vitro tests and virtual simulations.

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att få en större kunskap om den musikaliska gestaltningen av karaktärer i film, samt att få en utökad kunskap om filmmusik generellt. Uppsatsen inleds med en kort skildring av filmmusikens historia samt en redogörelse för den tidigare forskning som berör ämnet. Därefter har en funktionell analysmetod, baserad i en kategorisering av filmmusikens olika berättarfunktioner, presenterats. Analysen är grundad i två frågeställningar och dess syfte har varit att ta reda på musikens narrativa funktion i film och de eventuella mönster som kunnat urskiljas i det musikaliska berättandet. Fyra olika scener ur fyra filmer har analyserats, alla med den gemensamma nämnaren att de gestaltar ett eller flera mord.Vidare har analysen sammanfattats.

Denna uppsatts är ett kandidatarbete på programmet för Fysisk Planering på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola och omfattar 15 hp. Uppsatsen genomförs under utbildningens tredje år. Uppsatsen undersöker hur problem och konflikter med konflikter vid hantering av olika sorters trafiksystem på samma plats har skapat en problematisk trafiksituation i Bergåsa. Vilka aktörer som bidragit till att dessa konflikter uppstått undersöks, och hur dessa aktörer även begränsar platsens framtida utveckling. Detta genomförs genom en teknisk och historisk studie av platsen, kopplat till en analys av aktörernas påverkan på processen.

The fertility of dairy cows is of great importance in order to maintain high production. The decline in fertility of dairy cows the latest decades can have several explanations. The large emphasis on high yielding cows and the negative genetic correlation between milk production and fertility traits could be one of the main factors for impaired fertility. To find heats and inseminate the cow at the right time is crucial to receive high conception rate. Delaval has, in corporation with FOSS, developed Herd Navigator which is a management program that measure four biological parameters in the milk; progesterone, betahydroxybutyrate, lactate dehydrogenase and urea.
