Fördelning av samkostnader - En studie över hur svenska energibolag fördelar samkostnader mellan el och fjärrvärme i ett kraftvärmeverk
Cost allocation ? a study of how Swedish energy companies allocate costs between Electricity and district heating in a combined heat and power plant District heating is today the most utilized alternative for heating in Sweden. In a combined heat and power plant (CHP) Electricity and heat are cogenerated. The environmental and economic advantages with this kind of production are high. A problem in a CHP-plant is to allocate costs between Electricity and heat since both products are generated in the same process.
Balansering av en storskalig vindkraftsutbyggnad i Sverige med hjälp av den svenska vattenkraften
This master thesis is a study of the Swedish hydropower capacity to balance wind power. The Swedish government has decided that it should be possible to produce 30 TWh from wind power in the year 2020. The Swedish municipalities have to have plans for wind power plants with total yearly generation of 30 TWh. Wind power is an variable energy source that needs to be balanced by other energy sources. In Sweden the Swedish hydropower can be used for balancing a large scale introduction of wind power.
Nätanslutning av vindkraft : vindkraftsbranschens aktörers perspektiv på nätanslutning och tariffer
Wind power is a growing energy sector in Sweden. However, it still represents only a small part of the total Electricity production, about 0.7%. In order to create good conditions and to facilitate the establishment of wind power in Sweden, the government has for example, created a national centre for wind use. The objective has been to reach the governmental goal, which is an expansion of wind power by 10 TWh by year 2015 compared to the level in 2002.
The Swedish Electricity market was deregulated in 1996 which refers to the introduction of a competitive market in Electricity production and trade.
Ett re(el)lt hot? Om elprisets betydelse för investeringar inom basindustrin
The aim of this thesis is to investigate the correlation between the price of electric power and investments within the Swedish basic industry. Using regression analysis, the authors test for correlation between the Electricity prices and the basic industry, defined as the pulp and paper industry, the mining industry, the steel and metal industry and the basic chemical industry. Moreover, five variables found in the literature on investment decisions are being used as a means of comparison. The results suggest that the Electricity price affects the investment decisions within the basic chemical industry as well as the steel and metal industry. On a more abstract level, this thesis contributes to the understanding of one of the properties of the Swedish GDP..
Nord Pools systempris - en studie av prispåverkande faktorer
The intention of this thesis is, from a basic statistical viewpoint, to capture the relationship between the price of Electricity and a sample of factors influencing the price. The thesis also aims at investigating whether knowledge about the relationship is useful when investing on Nord Pool. Tested factors are temperature, import, price of emission rights as well as a number of hydrological factors. The investigated period stretches from year 2000 until week 32 year 2007. The relevance of each factor was also evaluated yearly as well as for shorter periods in order to get a more comprehensive view of the relationship.
MIKROVÄRMEKRAFTVERK för hemmabruk
My questions at issue for this report has it´s beginning in the growing problems of thenegative effects of burning fossile fuels and the rapidly growing energyprices.1. Is it possible to design a micro scale powerplant?2. Is it economically interesting for a potential customer to by such a product? The aim with this report is therefor, with the help of design work and calculations, to answerthese questions and to create a platform for building a fully functional micro scale powerplant. The material used in the report is mostly product catalogs from various industries but alsostudy course littrature about steam engines. The result of the report is that it is fully possible to design a fully functional micro scalepower plant.
Energikartläggning vid biogasanläggningen, Kungsängens gård
The purpose of this thesis was to make an energy survey and quantify energy flows of
individual unit operations associated with the biogas production in Uppsala Vatten och Avfall
AB:s biogas plant, located at Kungsängens gård. Moreover, large consumers of energy would
be identified and analyzed. The objective of this energy survey was to obtain a detailed
understanding of the energy use in the biogas production.
The energy survey was divided into two parts: Electricity and heat. Each part was treated
separately and with somewhat different approach. To estimate the Electricity usage during the
projcet the rated power of each selected unit operation was noted and multplied with the
measured time of usage.

LAN-Uppgradering
The interest in small-scale Electricity in Sweden has increased strongly in recent years. The interest is noticeable both among politicians to increase the share of renewables in the energy mix, and among Electricity consumers to partially replace purchased Electricity with self-produced. This has resulted in a significant increase of Electricity production in low voltage grids in recent years, and the trend appears to continue in the coming years. The majority of the new production plants are solar cells, followed by wind turbines, and it is also in these the greatest efforts are made in this paper.Distributed generation is often seen as something positive since it will contribute to reduced transmission losses and reduced voltage drop in the networks, and that it increases the share of Electricity from renewable sources. In cases where the grids are not strong enough, or in other ways not adapted to manage the installed production, power quality may be adversely affected.
Sapa Heat Transfers koldioxidspår : En kartläggning av verksamhetens koldioxidutsläpp
Sapa Heat Transfer is a company that produces aluminum heat-exchanger strips for the automotive industry. Sapa Heat Transfer wish to chart their emissions of carbon dioxide in order to meet future demands on carbon dioxide reporting. They also would like to examine the meaning of the term ?green Electricity? which is marketed as carbon dioxide free, and the sort of Electricity that they purchase. This report includes both direct (liquefied petroleum gas and diesel) and indirect (water, process-water, long distance heating, waste) emissions from their company.
Elproduktion med ORC-teknik ombord på fartygsserien MK II.
Given that the oil prices have risen and the environmental regulations has become more stringent, the interest in operating efficiency has increased. The project has investigated the possibility of producing Electricity from waste heat generated in the diesel process. One technique to utilize and convert energy into Electricity is the ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle). This process is based on the Rankine process (the steam process), the difference from the traditional Rankine process is that instead of water as a working medium, an organic substance is used. The main component used in the process is a evaporator, a turbine, a condenser and a pump.
Mikroproducenternas påverkan på Elinorr
The Swedish energy system will be influenced by many future changes, such as energy and climate policy objectives. The installation of more renewable Electricity could increase by using solar energy. Over the recent years, grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems have increased dramatically in Sweden, partly due to various support systems and compensation models. These support systems have been designed to make it easy for individuals and businesses to invest in self-generated Electricity and thus contribute to the transformation of the energy system. The introduction of a higher proportion of solar energy may in turn affect the Swedish Electricity system. This could mean that the Electricity companies will be facing a number of changes in the near future.

Lönsamheten i vindkraft : en studie om den förväntade lönsamheten i landsbaserad vindkraft
This thesis analyzes the expected profitability in land based wind power plants. The expected profitability is calculated on the basis of a wind power project in Vartofta, Falköping. The information required to calculate the expected outcome is then concentrated to this project, which is in this thesis called project Näs. In project Näs they plan to build three wind power plants, with each an effect of 2 MWh. These wind power plants are very capital intensive investments with a long and uncertain payback time.
Miljöanpassad offentlig upphandling: effektivt styrmedel mot koldioxidutsläpp? : En studie av kostnadseffektivitet, transaktionskostnader och teknisk utveckling
Green public procurement (GPP) can be used as an instrument to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and consideration of environmental aspects within public procurement is becoming more common in Sweden and internationally. Two product groups that have been pointed out as especially important are transports and Electricity, where the opportunities for public purchasers to reduce emissions are relatively large. This paper studies GPP which aims at reducing emissions, primarily of carbon dioxide, through environmental requirements within these two product groups. A theoretical analysis of cost-effectiveness, transaction costs and effects on technological development is performed, followed by a closer study of how these aspects appear in practice within GPP.
The results indicate that a cost-effective allocation of reductions between the two product groups is most likely to be attained if the main part of emission reduction is achieved through environmental requirements on Electricity. The cost for emission reduction within transports is relatively high, especially for heavy transports.
For transportation services, more generally focused requirements on emission reductions could probably give greater environmental gains, but the existence of transaction costs steer the environmental requirements towards more technology specific types.
