This essay takes the three models from Allison and Zelikow book Essence of decision and applies them on the Swedish defense system. After the cold war the Swedish defense system had to undergo changes to be a more modern defense and be able to defend Sweden against threats. To also be able to cooperate with other countries in peacekeeping operations the Swedish defense had to be reorganized. The solution was to change direction from a defense system that was organized for invasion to instead be a movable defense ready for any challenge in Sweden or abroad. This reorganization will be analyzed according to the three different models..

When using this system, their customers need computer aid to get the best possible sound-quality and control of sound levels for the whole audience. The aim of this thesis is to develop a truly useful sound quality simulator for the VHA-40. The system will help the sound engineers to position the loudspeakers for optimal sound by simulating loudspeaker configurations and visualizing the resulting sound quality and quantity. The research objective of this thesis was to conduct a holistic evaluation of an operational information system. By holistic evaluation we mean that an equal focus was placed on both the system system perspective and its users user perspective, in the actual environment where the system and its users function contextuality. In addition, the methodological objective of the study was to test a new research approach in a real life setting. The participants of the study were twenty newspaper journalists employed at Göteborgs-Posten GP. The information system NewsLink is a manually indexed full-text database containing all articles published in GP since 1994.

This master?s thesis was performed at PartnerTech AB in Åtvidaberg. It addresses the problem of managing test results obtained from testing electronics manufactured by PartnerTech. PartnerTech has developed a test system, called Tor, which performs tests on manufactured boards and stores the test results in files. For a long time economic tax equalization system in Sweden has been creating dispute between Swedish communities. Despite the main purpose of the system - to reduce disparities and create equal economic opportunities for all communities ? some regions were not satisfied.The main purpose of this study is to determine what extant has equalization tax on investment spending of Danderyd municipality during 2000-2010 year period. The study is based on annual reports and personal interviews. The theoretical frame of the investigation is founded on Fjertorp's classification of investments and public choice theory.The investigation shows that there were no significant changes neither in investment spending or equalization tax during 2000-2010 period, even after the last changes of economic tax equalizations system in 2005.

This thesis work is executed at Business Unit Ericsson Test Environment (BETE), in Linköping. BETE is the department at Ericsson, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the company's Operations Support System (OSS). Their management system was outdated and they wanted it to be updated and it also required new features. The database needed to be replaced and the data migrated to a new database without licensing costs. The system also needed a part where employees could manage existing users.As a programming language PHP was chosen for its dynamic possibilities, platform independence and good support for database intergration.

There are several ways of conducting software testing where some may include users and others may include personnel whose work task is to execute test on systems. Although most developers and project managers understand the point of testing the system, it is not always being done and the most common reason is that there is no time for it. However, this is a false assumption as it may instead cause some bugs in the system that would not have been there in the first place if tests had been there to prevent bugs in the code.My purpose for this thesis was to find suggestions for changes in the development process in an ongoing project used by Acino and Svenska Försäkringsfabriken in order to increase the quality of the system used. In this thesis, I have approached the purpose by pursuing a case study of the two companies through observation and interviews. By doing this I acquired the relevant information to make suggestions for change.

Då lönsamheten inom storköksbranschen varit relativt låg de senaste åren så efterfrågade såväl tillverkare som grossister men framförallt personalrestauranger en utredning om ifall det är möjligt förbättra lönsamheten inom branschen genom att använda mer förädlade livsmedel. Tidigare studier inom ämnet har gjorts men i begränsat antal och då har främst påverkan på kundtillfredsställelse, svinn, förändring av logistik och personalförändringar beaktats. Vår studie har däremot fokuserat på huruvida en övergång mot mer förberedda livsmedel påverkar den ekonomiska lönsamheten eller ej. Resultatet som beräknats är ett absolut tal vilket innebär att vår uppsats bidrar med den finansiella information som tidigare saknats gällande den ekonomiska lönsamhetens påverkan vid en övergång. Uppsatsens syfte var att utreda hur en personalrestaurangs lönsamhet påverkas av en övergång till mer förberedda livsmedel och studera vilka hinder som kan uppstå vid en eventuell övergång.

Introduction: In 1998, the pension system was changed and the so called PPM system was introduced. The PPM system is partly fund-based, partly distribution-based. There are approximately 700 different investment funds to choose between, at a maximum five for each individual. For persons who are not familiar with the financial market, the choice might be difficult. The lions? part of the investors do not seem to have an active strategy.

Dagligvaruhandelns konkurrens har hårdnat, numera gäller det att inte bara se till försäljningssiffror utan även att göra de rätta investeringarna som leder till kostnadsfördelar och ökad lönsamhet på sikt. Tekniken har gått framåt vilket kan ersätta kostsam hantering och onödiga marginalförluster. Undersökningen i denna rapport visar om en investering av ett elektroniskt hyllkantsetikettsystem skapar ökad lönsamhet. Inom dagligvaruhandeln sker det veckovis en mängd uppdateringar av nya priser och införandet av nya artiklar i sortimentet. Detta medför både drift- och personalkostnader p g a det manuella arbete som krävs för bytet av dessa standardiserade pappersetiketter.

Detta arbete har som fokusering att studera vad som driver utvecklingen av system för elektroniska affärer mellan företag. Syftet är dels att belysa vilka krav som företag som har infört system för elektroniska affärer ställer på systemet och dels att ta reda på de faktorer som driver utvecklingen framåt. Undersökningen har genomförts genom intervjuer med företag som utvecklar system för elektroniska affärer mellan företag. Sammanlagt har sex intervjuer gjorts genom besöks- och telefonintervjuer. Området har delats in i två olika typer av system för elektroniska affärer beroende på mot vilken del i förädlingskedjan de riktar sig.

The students have been assigned a task from Consid, were they are supposed to develop a web based platform for handling the company?s consult CV:s. The key features of the system are to simplify the administration part at mission procurements towards customers and to match qualified consultants to certain missions.Consid is an international it-consult company and have about 1000 consults working for them. When Consid makes mission procurements towards a customer they have to manually match the best consult against a certain mission, this is both time consuming and complicated.The students started the project with big visions and thoughts about how the work would be performed and how the system would be developed. After the initial meetings and the closer it came to the beginning of programming it became clear that the expectations were too big.
