Background:IT development has in recent decades been fast progressing. In Sweden many schools have begun to invest in IT and new technologies. What happens at the schools that are investing in IT equipment and modern technology?Purpose:The purpose of this study is to elucidate the conditions for and the success factors and barriers that principals and teachers will experience in IT. Principals' experiences are complemented and mirrored against the teachers.

The aim of this master thesis is to find out how indexing of fiction works. I look at the consistency when users? choices of index words are compared with each other and I also compare users? choices to the current indexing made by libraries. I examine the subject heading list, Att indexera skönlitteratur, to find out how well it works in this particular context. The investigation included seven users who, in three steps, are creating a subject heading index of the Swedish novel Klippdockan by Cecilia Dahlheim.

Möbius sequence is a rare condition where affected cranial nervesoften lead to speech deviations due to reduced oral motor functioning. Thisstudy aimed to survey speech deviations, compensatory strategies and selfperceptionof speech in seven people with Möbius sequence, and to linkthese to oral motor function and intelligibility. Additionally, the immediateeffects of smile surgery were investigated in one person. The abovementioneddomains were studied instrumentally, perceptually and throughstructured interviewing. All participants displayed reduced oral motorfunction.

This paper attempts to study the Swedish tariffs during the interwar period in order to asses the level of protectionism in Swedish tariff policy during the period. It is foremost the nominal tariffs that are studied, however an estimate of the effective rate of protection of the tariffs is also calculated for a number of goods. In order to asses the level of protectionism, the Swedish tariffs are also compared with Finnish tariff levels during the interwar period.The sample of Swedish tariffs that have been studied in this paper include the fifteen most important kinds of import goods and the fifteen most important kinds of export goods. The nominal tariff of each kind of goods have been weighted by their share of the total import value.The Swedish specific tariffs did not change much during the interwar period except for a few goods such as petroleum, coffee and automobiles. The fluctuation in nominal tariffs were in most cases the result of the steep fall in prices during the period.

The world is getting smaller. Global markets, political processes and communication technology bring people together. Even though many of these processes are dynamic and constructive, they have also resulted in a need for better and more effective ways of international conflict resolution. This thesis investigates central issues connected to the concept of humanitarian interventions in relation to current and future legislation of the European Union. The overall question is whether the rapid globalization process has resulted in a change of international law towards more liberal view where authorization of the security council is not always needed? And, if there has actually been such a liberalization, how does that affect the legal possibilities for the European Union to carry out armed operations without the consent of the global community? The conclusion of the thesis is that international law has been modified mainly in two aspects: First, the concept of sovereignty is no longer seen merely as a right of the nation, but also as a responsibility.

Syftet med arbetet är att skapa en bättre förståelse för vad kreativitet och kreativa produkter är. I arbetet utvärderas även en metod för bedömning av kreativiteten i en produkt. Den metod som utvärderas är Creative Product Semantic Scale (CPSS). Det finns många olika definitioner på kreativitet och några tas upp i det här arbetet. För att kreativitet skall uppstå är även omgivningen och kontexten viktig.

I mitt arbete som lärare i särskolan har jag kommit i kontakt med sociala berättelser och seriesamtal, som är en pedagogisk metod som kan användas för personer som har svårt att förstå den verbala kommunikationen och behöver stimulera flera sinnen för att förstå. Sociala berättelser och seriesamtal är skrivna och ritade förklaringar och strategier som försöker förtydliga sociala mönster, oskrivna regler och sociala normer. Syftet med mitt arbete är att undersöka hur man kan arbeta med sociala berättelser och seriesamtal med elever i särskolan. Jag har använt mig av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod där jag gjort min datainsamling genom intervjuer. Jag kom fram till att sociala berättelser och seriesamtal kan användas som en metod att kommunicera med elever i särskolan.

Today adjustments on the pricing of internal transactions between multinational enterprises can lead to economic double taxation for the involved companies. This circumstance will result in an obstacle for private enterprising on the international market. Rules regarding corresponding adjustments and the mutual agreement procedure, that is used to eliminate economic double taxation, are today not sufficient tools to achieve this purpose. Consequently, changes regarding these rules should be implemented.The main reason for why economic double taxation is not put right is the competent authorities? inability to reach a suitable solution for the dispute.

In this thesis the aim is to explore the connection between International presence and Reconstruction of Postconflict states. The focus in this Analyse is the concept of CIMIC which is the institutional concept of Civil-Military Co-operation in International relations and a concept in Peacebuilding Theory. The cases, which are the empirical Material, is Afghanistan and Kosovo, two most-different cases.The theoretical framework is primarily consider the mechanisms successful for the Reconstruction process in general and within CIMIC in particular. This framework including both theories of State failure and International administered Territories as well as Models for Civil- Military Co-operation.The International presence in Postconflict Societies plays a big role, even thou it is very important that initiatives for rebuilding comes from the state within. The essence of CIMIC is the civil component and the military, operating in Peacebuilding and Reconstruction missions.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utveckla en metod som, istället för metallanalyser, kan förutsäga bleksvaret i efterföljande peroxidblekning av pappersmassa. Det är allmänt känt att övergångsmetaller katalyserar sönderfallet av väteperoxid mycket effektivt, där mangan, koppar och järn är de effektivaste katalysatorerna vid massablekning. Vid Östrands massabruk (dåvarande SCA Graphic Sundsvall AB), där arbetet utfördes, var koncentrationen av mangan högre än andra skadliga metaller, varför mangan hade en mycket betydande roll. Metallanalyser kan användas för att i viss mån förutsäga bleksvaret i efterföljande peroxidblekningar. Dessa analyser är dock kostsamma, långsamma och komplicerade varför en billig, snabb och enkel metod är att föredra.

In 1994 a new Forestry Act was accepted in Sweden. One of its aims was to raise the consideration for preservation of biodiversity. Since this happened over 15 years ago there is now an interest in analyzing if the law has been effective in its purpose. In this study methods suitable for analysis are being investigated. The study contents a pilot study of methods for five parameters that can validate if the law has been followed.

I den här studien tillfrågas föräldrar till elever i årskurs 6-9 hur de upplever portfoliometodiken på deras barns skola. Syftet är att öka kunskapen om hur föräldrar kan uppleva portfoliometodiken och därigenom förhoppningsvis kunna bidra till en förädling av metoden på sikt. Studien är genomförd i form av en enkätundersökning på en skola där man använder portfolion som pedagogiskt redskap sedan 2004. Resultatet visar att föräldrarna i huvudsak är positiva till portfoliometodiken. Majoriteten svarar att de tittar i sitt barns portfolio ungefär en gång per termin i samband med utvecklingssamtalet.

Våra städer utsätts idag för hårt tryck i form av förtätning och exploatering. Allt för ofta tas grönytor och naturområden i anspråk för att vi ska kunna förses med bostäder, industrier, parkeringar o.s.v. Gång på gång poängteras det däremot hur viktiga gröna utemiljöer är för oss människor och inte minst för vår miljö. För att komma i bukt med detta växande problem utformade man i Tyskland en metod för att säkerställa andelen grönytor vid exploatering. I samband med bomässan Bo01 i Malmö introducerade man för första gången metoden i Sverige, den kom att kallas grönytefaktor och grundar sig på den tyska modellen (biotopflächenfaktor). Syftet med grönytefaktorn är att skapa en attraktiv miljö för människor, att gynna den biologiska mångfalden samt att förbättra dagvattenhanteringen i området.

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze youth community service in the Kalmar municipality. Our focus was on juvenile offenders and predecessor of public authorities. The juvenile offenders in our study have completed youth community service. A qualitative study was undertaken which include seven interviews. Our empirical data were compared and analyzed with previous research data.

The difference between the public sector and the private sector in Sweden was once very small. These sectors have been united as well for the people, the organizations as for the finances. During the 1960´s and 1970´s the public sector in Sweden was expanding and after the 1980´s the people started talking more about an expanding private sector instead. The year of 2007 Hökarängen Hemtjänst Ekonomisk Förening submitted a tender to Äldreförvaltningen about a purchase of the home- help service in Hökarängen and they accept there tender.Exposing public organization for competition can be a good way to make sure that most value for the money is created and that it generates the most cost- effective organizations. The motivation factor is used to describewhat makes people perform more than what is expected of them.The purpose of this study is to describe and explain similarities and differences in working- motivation between those how are members of Hökarängen Hemtjänst Ekonomisk Förening and those how are not.
