There are many risk factors involved with a sedentary lifestyle. Deep vein thrombosis (blood clot), circulatory problems and contractures are just a selection of problems you can get by too little exercise. For people who are immobilized because of illness, it can be difficult to get enough exercise and movement to avoid similar complications. Because of most medical supplies on the market today are not optimal for use at home, I have chosen to develop a training device for the lower limbs, adapted for use in a bed, both in hospitals and at home. It is important that the devise can be used in any bed, regardless of headboards.

The purpose of this trial was to evaluate the possibility to use sampling of faeces, urine and plasma, and measurements of blood pressure as methods of discovering hypomagnesemia in horses, as well as the application handiness of these methods. The most commonly used method of checking the magnesium status of a horse is to analyze samples of serum or plasma. The trial was of a switch-back design, in which the horses were used as their own controls. The animal material was five Swedish warm blooded trotters between six to ten years old, and weighing between 485-620 kg. The trial consisted of three periods that were two months each.

The objective of this thesis was to get more knowledge before an alternation of generations. In theses I have chose to make two drawings, one for dairy cows and one for cattle rearing. The drawings are made for a future alternation of generations at my parental home in the province Dalarna. The results are made out of educational visits at different farms and literature investigations. Those dairy farms who I visited had different milking system at each farm and the cattle farm I visited had beef production. The farms are placed in the middle and south of Sweden. Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att ta reda på vilket sätt förskollärare använder dans som ett pedagogiskt verktyg med barn i åldern 1-3år. Jag använde mig av en kvalitativ metod och undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av intervjuer av fyra förskollärare som var slumpmässigt utvalda. Därefter drogs det paralleller mellan intervjuernas svar och den valda litteraturen.Resultatet visade att samtliga förskollärare ansåg att dans var mycket viktigt för barnens utveckling. De använde sig av dans på något sätt i sin verksamhet men det var inte alla som ansåg att de använde dansen som ett pedagogiskt verktyg..

This report is the result of an evaluation of a project, conducted by five regional libraries. Through a training course the project should inspire small and medium sized enterprises to use modern information technology and Internet when searching for information. To evaluate the project, qualitative interviews were conducted with five librarians and quantitative questionnaires were distributed to all the course participants. The evaluation shows that the project goals were met, apart from the number of course participants, which was much lower than anticipated. It also shows that the project resulted in an increase in information technology and competence at the libraries, and that the course participants profit from their increased knowledge in their daily work..

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether it is possible for SCA to update their stand register with use of digital aerial photos photographed with a Zeiss/Intergraph DMC. ?Updating? in this study implies the delineation of stands and estimating stand variables such as average stand height, volume density, stand volume, and tree species composition in order to identify stands which can be of current interest for thinning. The study also includes how the aerial photo material and experience of the interpreter can influence the quality of the interpreted variables. The aerial photo interpretations were made by both experienced and inexperienced interpreters.

Denna uppsats är skriven med syftet att belysa elevers åsikter inom området pedagogiskt ledarskap i klassrummet. Detta undersöks genom en kvantitativ enkätundersökning besvarad av 107 elever i årskurs 6 i Malmö. Frågeställningen som gav upphov till undersökningen är: Vilken typ av ledarstil föredrar elever och vad påverkar deras motivation i skolarbetet? Vi presenterar vårt resultat i deskriptiv statistik och använder oss av behavioristisk samt humanistisk teori för att analysera våra resultat. Resultatet och slutsatsen visar att eleverna trivs bäst med en humanistisk ledare men finner motivation i de typiska behavioristiska förstärkningarna så som beröm och till viss del bestraffning..

Horses respond individually to challenges, and the possibility to use these reactions to evaluate equine temperament with an objective instrument would have several advantages. Horse welfare could be improved by making it possible to find individuals best suited for a specific use, and understanding of the development of abnormal behaviours, such as stereotypies, could be increased. Management routines and training could be adjusted tosuit each individual horse and it could facilitate the selection of individuals appropriate for breeding. There are also economic implications, as horse buyers consider temperament important and after evaluating temperament, money can be spent solely on specific horses with all the right qualities. During the last decade, many attempts have been made to measure different aspects of temperament in horses, and the first aim of this project was to look at these studies and see which methods were used and which temperamental characteristics they measured.

Målsättningen var att öka andelen berättigade undersökningar.Syftet med studien av förbättringsarbetet var att få en förståelse förvilka faktorer som påverkar remittentens val av radiologisk undersökning och därmed berättigandegradenvilka aktiviteter i förbättringsarbetet påverkar berättigandegraden och på vilket sättMetodInterventioner i form av utbildning och mätningar användes för att höja berättigandegraden. This thesis in Educational Sciences consists of a narrative ideology-analysis of the Swedish school's fundamental values with perspectives from the philosophy of Nietzsche and Kant, which also analyzed the same way, with the aim to trace and problematize the ideological foundations of "our society's shared values" that teachers should convey to the students. Based on a theory that a humanism crisis occurs when important values are perceived as threatened, does the introduction of the basic values of the curriculum appear as a response tosocietal changes. Nietzsche and Kant represent completely different idea currents that both have been reflected in the curriculum in which basic values have different meanings. Nietzsche has inspired social criticism, postcolonial and postmodern thinkers to a critical constructivist approach that is an asset in the multicultural classroom to deconstruct stereotypes and prejudices. That culture, ethnicity, morality and religion do not have an objective essence, but seen as social constructions, using a critical approach is a way of thinking which was developed with inspiration from Nietzsche.

I mitt arbete undersöker jag tre personers upplevelse av vad rytmik och musikterapi är. Jag bad dem också jämföra rytmik och musikterapi för att hitta likheter och skillnader. Jag har läst om Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, som anses vara rytmikens grundare. Jag drar också paralleller till Howard Gardner och John Dewey. För att få en djupare förståelse av vad musikterapi är har jag läst bland annat Even Ruuds ?Varma ögonblick?, och Anita Granbergs ?Tre svenska utbildningar i musikterapi?.

Studiens preciserade problem består av att undersöka vilka effekter Aggession Replacement Training (ART-metoden) ger, och om hur pedagoger kan möta, förebygga och hantera konflikter och aggressioner i skolan med hjälp av metoden. Genom litteratur, intervjuer, samt genom inhämtad kunskap om ART-metoden, redogör vi för hur pedagoger i den utvalda undersökningsgruppen kan arbeta förebyggande och hantera uppkomna konflikter. Slutsatsen vi kom fram till är, att man måste arbeta regelbundet med ART-metoden och ha tålamod om inte effekterna är omedelbart synliga. Pedagogerna skall arbeta med förebyggande åtgärder för att stärka individen och förbättra det psykosociala klimatet i gruppen och se de små men betydelsefulla förändringarna - effekterna..
